This school is for you if you want your child to grow up with a mindset for personal responsibility, accountability and hard work. Children here don't learn a sense of entitlement regardless of race or socio-economic status. All children are taught to help the younger children as they progress through the grades each year. There is a zero tolerance policy for violence that is so prevalent in public schools.

These kids graduate with a degree and attend college in their senior year to prep them for their higher level degrees. This is the single best thing we did for our daughter, she LOVES to go to school and they push her to learn, which is what we wanted for her. I highly recommend Wider Horizons for parents that want better for their children, academically and emotionally.

As with everything in life, not every thing is for everyone, BUT this school is and has been for the last 2 years the best thing for us and my precious granddaughter. Yes there was an interview process with Dr. and Mrs. Magilo. We fit their criteria and my granddaughter was accepted. She has learned and grown by leaps and bounds both academically and socially. It has been the perfect fit for her. She loves the teachers and of course Mrs. James and the Magilo's. Even though it is a distance from where we live ( a 2 hour drive every day) we feel that the drive is worth the quality of education and care she is given. Thank You to the Magilo's and staff for giving us the opportunity to provide Zoey with such a wonderful school!

Great school. The Maglios are very on top of things. It's amazing how well behaved all the students are. Pretty much everything is better than the public schools here. The education is top notch while letting the kids be kids.

The school and its personnel,Teachers,Dr and Mrs Maglio and the "tireless" Ms. James are the best people to provide a comprehensive education and daily care for my 9 year old. They have taught him many things this year and I will always be grateful. They have helped me through a very unpleasant personal situation and made sure my 9 year old's education and daily experience(s) are priority number1. My child has more self awareness, his socialization is at an all time high and he walks with a "beaming" stride of confidence that he can handle anything.....I want to send a message to his 3 classroom teachers in this "Teacher Appreciation Week" that you are the best and we appreciate everything you do...Mrs. Gutierrez,Mrs. Hughes and Mrs. Bianco please continue "pushing" students to their full potential academically....You truly are fine examples of the teaching profession....THANK YOU!
TO anyone thinking about doing something SPECIAL for their children,IT is IMPERATIVE to set an appointment to VISIT with Dr. and Mrs. Maglio today....Its the best gift to give your sons and daughters...

I have a child in third grade and a child in kindergarten in this school and WE LOVE IT!!! Besides making huge strides academically, my children are EXCITED to go to school and EAGER to learn new materials. Before this school, my third-grader hated to go to school. In public school, he was in trouble for "talking in class" or "disrupting classmates"...because he was finishing his work or found it boring. Now, in Wider Horizons, he is challenged and finds learning to be fun. My kindergartener is learning to be responsible, kind, compassionate, and respectful, as well as her academics. This is the most well-rounded school my family has ever encountered. (this is out 5th school)

Fantastic school. The administration is top notch and very involved with each student and their individual needs. I am very happy with my daughters progress and highly recommend wider horizons.

My daughter has truly blossomed from going to this school. I would recommend this school to anyone who is looking for their child to grow and develop in all aspects of academics and social skills.

Disciplined students with a traditional teaching approach to education. Don't come if you need to be "special".

I am deeply saddened by the lack of efficacy in administration and school polices. I had contacted the school for copies of our daughter’s progress report. A lady named Ms. James had assured me she would send copies right away. That was not the case. After calling for a second time she was extremely rude and ill-mannered. I honestly cannot believe they allow a person to speak to parents that way on the phone. It does not take but a second to Email a progress report.!!!! There are many negative reviews about this school and I would not recommend this school to anyone.

I love the idea of the Montessori education. My experience at this facility does not allow me to post whether or not I think this school is good. We met with both Dr. Maglio and Mrs. Maglio (she is very nice). After a meeting with lots of questions, discussions, and getting personal references from parents whose children were attending this school, we decided to enroll our child in April of 2016. When I called Ms. James with some questions I had about the application, I was told that the Maglio's were discussing "us" (my husband and I) and they felt "WE" parents were not a good fit for their school. I was appalled!!! (The Maglio's never called me back to discuss why they thought we were not a good fit) No concern for our child being disappointed about not attending. It appears Dr. Maglio wants the parents check and child and doesn't welcome open questions or concerns parents may have. Good luck with your experience at this school! I would not recommend this school to anyone.

The directors owe our family money.
I wish I had read all of the reviews not just the last 2 or 3 years. The older posts are very accurate to my experiences as well. The reason for me not allowing my children to attend Wider Horizons is based upon the finding of a book in his classroom that i had been told would not be there and the access to this literature was misrepresented to me when i contacted your school months prior to our move to Florida. I had expressed that i had unerolled my child for that exact teaching at another montessori and was told it would certainly not be at Wider. Upon finding the book on the day before school Mr Maggio concurred it is a damaging book for anyone to read. I was told that they do not know what books are in the shelves because they are donated. How then when I contacted the school prior would it be possible for them to tell me this book was not at this school. Also moreover how concerning for the secretary to know children have read it there. Due to this I do not feel as though I can trust this school based on what they tell me. For this reason I wanted to talk directly with the teachers in my son's classroom to find out what access he would have to the reading material. unfortunately the "meet and greet" was apparently only 1 hour and I was told i would have to leave even though the teachers in my sons classroom were taken up by talking to parents who did not even have a child enrolled there. I expect a full refund of the money I have paid.
