Taqueria del Sol

This was my 1st time there. My daughter frequents this establishment and insisted that I try it! Be sure to check the times before going. They are open for lunch and then close at 3 until 5 for dinner. There was a wait. My daughter says there's always a wait. It didn't seem like a long wait. It went quicker than I thought! And we were able to get drinks from the bar while we waited. I liked the process of going in to order and pay right then. Then you find a table and they bring the food to you shortly after. The margarita was so good! The food was pretty good. I've never had tacos like these. They were delightful. I look forward to going back to try some other items on the menu.

Taqueria deal Sol is definitely a local favorite. It is always delicious. The place runs like a well oiled machine, and the staff are always friendly and helpful.

There is nothing on this menu that I do not like. I also have the cookbook, and make the fresh salsa all the time for parties. People love it!

Their fish tacos have to be the best fish tacos I have ever had. I always compare other places to them. I like to add slaw to my fish tacos. It is so good!

The chili and cream sauce are amazing! And everyone loves the chowder.

The skinny margarita is the best. It is not a diet margarita, but rather one made with all pure ingredients. So it is just tequila, lime juice, and simple syrup.

Make sure to get your hatch chilis during the season. They are the best!

I cannot say enough about how much we love this place!

We have been going to del Sol for years. My in-laws absolutely love this spot. The menu is simple and straightforward. And the preparation is excellent. They are very consistent in their quality and flavor. It is not an authentic Mexican restaurant but they do their style well. The flavors are made more for an American palate. However, the quality of ingredients and cooking is consistently excellent. They have both indoor and outdoor seating and you better come early because there's always a line out the door. A wait around not having to wait in line is to go sit at the bar because you don't need to wait in line to sit at the bar. However, during covid we have not wanted to do that but plenty of people still do it. It is a very kid-friendly spot where they can run around a little bit especially in the outside seating area.

Great place to eat. Great prices. Staff was awesome as usual in the food was perfect as always. So must place to go for a quick bite with friends or just want to try something different. Check out any location, always be satisfied

Best fried chicken tacos on the planet, southern style fried chicken, with a habanero or jalapeño mayonnaise. Everything is à la cart. I'm not a big man, but I can eat three chicken tacos, the salsa Trio, shrimp corn chowder, along with sharing a bowl of Casa, & guacamole dip, with the best southern sweet tea, all at a very reasonable price. "The George" is a hidden menu item that you have to ask for that has turnip greens and beans and other delights inside. An absolute touch of the south in Mexican food.

I love that we get to sit outside no matter the time of year and weather. The good and service were excellent as always. The shrimp chowder was so flavorful but super spicy and didn’t have a single shrimp. I still enjoyed it. The tacos were good as always.

Line gets quite long but you know what to expect with that here to begin with. Great drink selection, good food. Could have more vegetarian options but there's just enough.

Despite the ridiculously long line no matter what time you come, the food is 10/10 which is why people keep coming back. The chicken enchiladas in the lemon cream sauce is phenomenal. Definitely recommend!

This is the place for really yummy that won’t empty your wallet. I always try the weekly taco special because they usually have some pretty unique flavors. The guac is amazing too and has fresh jalapeños. The line can be pretty long (it usually moves fast), so before getting in line, do yourself a favor and get a Westside margarita at the bar to sip on while in line. 😉

Looking for a good restaurant to go to? Taqueria del Sol is great!!! This is the best Mexican restaurant I have been to! Since I’m vegan, I got a side of beans and rice. Pretty reasonable price. 3 dollars for each side.
It was so good! The beans have the perfect spiciness, and soooo good! And the rice was also so delicious and savory!

My Mexican friend and I were very impressed with the flavors of everything ordered. The trio salsas were fabulous. The guacamole refreshing. The brisket and carnitas enchiladas were also mouth watering. They close at 2pm. Line was long even at closing. Go and try this place. It was worth it.

Loved dining here. Everything was amazing, super friendly people, the lines don't lie. Looking forward to coming back again!

The best of fast casual tacos.

Tacos, like houses are judged a little differently inside the perimeter than outside the perimeter. OTP, it's important that people get a little more for the money and, of course, that should come with some chips and free refills. ITP, people are looking for a more refined taco, and they don't mind paying extra for chips, when they want them.

Taqueria pioneered this movement back in the late 90s and early 2000s. And it has spread to a number of other chains ITP and a few of them OTP.

That being said, every item on their regular menu is a winner. It might not be my favorite, but it is the favorite of my friend or my kid. The place is clean and has rules that make it run like a clock.

Often, there's a line out the door, but it moves quickly. Many of my friends have 20 charges a month on their credit card at taqueria.

I should note that there are some people that are bothered by the line and the rules. If you're one of those people, don't go away mad, just go away.

Can’t beat the price and the wait is definitely worth it. Don’t let the line fool you though, it moves really fast! Great tacos and all the salsa were excellent.

I absolutely love this place...it is usually crowded and I can't get in, but when I can... it's ALWAYS a treat!!

If you're a margaritas or foodie, Taqueria del Sol is a must visit. Great food, drinks, and service is A+. Great place for family gatherings.

This isn't just a regular taco place. This is the awesome taco place. If u hungry and u like chicken then say no more. Get down there and enjoy your meal with there great service and happy faces working there. Also try there queso it's spicy and mind blowing.

Always delicious! We treated ourselves to the salso trio, guac, and cheese dip! ( a meal in itself really). My favorite tacos are the fish, fried chicken, and veggie bean ( I add some of the tomatillo salsa). My husband loves the Memphis, the brisket, and the carnitas. Their pork green Chile and shrimp chowder are also amazing. And always try the special!

We got through the line pretty quick, even though it was out the door when we arrived.

We had the salsa trio, guacamole, brisket tacos and roasted chicken enchiladas with pork green chili sauce. The food was amazing. All the salsa was good, I liked the red one that appeared to have something fire roasted in it the best. My wife said the guacamole was good. The chicken enchilada with pork chili was over the top. The chili was what really made the dish. You could tell work went into making it. I cleaned up the last of it with chips.
