Dr. John J. Halki, MD

Dr. Halki was my surgeon back in early 2007. I came to him with 10 fused vertebrae as a result of my scoliosis surgery at age 13. He fused 3 additional vertebrae to S1 and added bolts in my pelvis to prevent further degeneration. I couldn't have been happier. Over the years I have been mostly pain free and feel confident that it was because I had a great surgeon. Beyond that, he has an awesome bedside manner!

I can’t say enough wonderful things about the Doc! First- 20+ years ago he operated on my husband’s neck after a drunk driver rear ended him. Even though it was a fusion my husband is still active and pain free today.
Now I sought out Dr. Halki to give me guidance as I have a lot of lumbar issues which have been ongoing for many years. I was having them treated with epidurals but was concerned as I was no longer having improvement and was in a lot of pain. Dr. Halki ordered new MRIs and X-rays. Although they look pretty bad we decided to go with another epidural except at a higher level to pinpoint a new herniated disc (because apparently one is not enough 🤦‍♀).
Dr. Halki worked with my other spine doctor- Dr. Witmer who is also fantastic btw- and exchanged notes. Who does that? “They”, whoever they are lol, always talk about the healthcare “Team”, but how often do two doctors with different practices ACTUALLY do that? Well these guys do- and I just can not thank them enough for this; it makes me feel safe and cared for.
Hopefully I’ll never need surgery and I can just keep treating this ugly spine of mine conservatively, but if the day comes it’ll be Jay Halki all the way.

He really cares abouts his parents. He show pictures and more. Then answered all my questions. Told me I would hate him for the first three day after surgery. The next two weeks I will be thinking or saying, " What the hell was I thinking". I laughed so hard 🤣. I knew he was telling the truth. He is honest and that means a lot. He doesn't do surgery that is not needed. It's his living, but it's all about help his parents feel better.
I highly recommend him and his family practice.

When I crawled into Dr halkies place I was horrified. 2 diff spine doctors said we need to get you in him. He put a cage around my neck. A rod down my spine and 🎤 sctrs and other hardware. Going on 3 yrs now .still completly pain free. Total mobility. I couldn't be more happy. Lots of people complain about docs. Rarely do they say anything good. I recommend John above e.body else. He's good people. Great doctor. Tell him dave sent ya might knock off a few bucks

Took Great care of my mom!!!! Absolutely amazing. Other doctors that are taking care of my admire his work. He knows what he is doing!!!! These other doctors suck. Wish my mom could have taken him with her when she moved. Or at least fly him out here.

He is a great Guy Surgeon. I was very scared having to have another neck surgery.He made sure I was safe & reassured me I was going to be ok thru the whole process. Amazing bed side manner . Welcoming, Very family & friendly oriented. Thanks Dr Halki . I would not be we’re I am today with out your Expertise!

Very caring person and doctor his work on me has been excellent in the past.

I recently saw Dr Halki and was astounded at his attention to detail and all the options he made available for my needs instead of surgery as the only option. He answered all my questions and I would highly recommend him.

Great Dr, with a fantastic people skills. But his F/o staff while nice still hasn’t followed up with a referral to a pain specialist as promised. Called at least 5 times, sent email, went by office (they were closed), had my insurance call and still nothing. It’s like they vanished off the face of the earth. Love Dr Halki just don’t like the lack of follow up. And also not sure why the doctor himself could not give me trigger point shots.
