Southern comfort food in a homey environment! Menu changes daily, so make sure to check their website or social media to find out what's in the kitchen. Delicious food, incredibly fast service, but very small dining room. We did not have to wait for a mid-week lunch, but I expect there are wait times on Saturdays or in the evening.

Most restaurants have a few dishes that stand apart as absolutely wonderful. Sweet Taters will knock your socks off with every dish.

They have a rotating menu to pick from. So keep your eyes out for your favorites. This is our first visit and we were blown away.

Our server was fantastic and despite being understaffed she rocked the whole meal. Drink refills on point, making sure we had anything we needed!

If your thinking about giving this place and like southern cooking just do it you won't regret it.

One of our favorite Hickory restaurants, that closed, but has now REOPENED, in a NEW LOCATION ! Our first visit to their New Location, and will not be our last !
Great BBQ Sandwich piled high with Mac & Cheese, Wife had a Huge Loaded Baked Potato, and fruit salad ,all was delicious!

Have eaten here before. The food is excellent. Waitstaff is friendly. The atmosphere is fantastic. I will return here again when I can. I had the sour cherry ham. The muscadine jelly is absolutely wonderful.

Waitress was so polite and wonderful! Food was AMAZING as always. I got the shrimp and grits which I have been looking for like a year for a restaurant local to make right!!! Sooo good!!!

Cute restaurant serving delicious home cooked meals. Small, fairly busy but no wait. They also take reservations. Waitress was very friendly.

The menu changes daily - tonight we tried the Apple Pie Moonshine Chicken and the Strawberry Chipotle Pork Chop. Both delicious forgot to get photos of the meals. Can’t wait to try another night.

Hands down the best porkchop sandwich we have ever tried!! Loved the hotdog and throughly enjoyed the blackberries and homemade cream. This gem of a restaurant goes out of their way to do everything the best it can be done. They aren't taking any shortcuts and we noticed! We will definitely be back.

An absolute favorite place to eat! Everything is delicious and the staff are super friendly and top notch on their service! My husband goes for lunch often and we go as a family for dinner as often as we can get a night out together!

Sweet Taters was an unexpected gem on the way to the mountains. Home cooked food that is at your table almost before you order, and every bite is delicious.

I absolutely love this place. I have never had anything bad food wise or customer service wise. They are friendly and helpful all the way around. Always good size portions for a great price.

We enjoyed every aspect of this wonderfully southern meal, and I might add that the prices were more than reasonable. Now that's a rarity these days. All the boxes were checked with good food fast, and service with a smile with prices that was great.
Oh, I'm not going to mention the wonderful biscuits or dessert here😋

Food was delicious. Ambience great for country meal loved the aprons and drying towels easy to get in and out. Family enjoyed meal. I wouldn't order pie again like way to small slice for price.

Never disappointed when we go here! Great southern food. Super fast service! Sometimes almost too fast. Haha. Amazing chocolate pie when they have it. Just check the menu before you go, it changes everyday.

Love this place! Chicken dishes are organic and just good down home cooked meals. Homemade biscuits with homemade jelly ❤
