Outer Banks Blue Vacation Rentals

We had the most relaxing week at Katherine’s Flip Flop! Wonderful location with the best views of the ocean from both back decks, cozy hot tub, comfortable indoor & outdoor furniture and the BEST stocked kitchen we’ve ever stayed at! Perfect view of the Avalon Pier. The sunrise photo was our sad day, as we were preparing to go home.

We had an amazing stay at the Happiness house in Kitty Hawk! The views were incredible and the house was absolutely perfect. We stayed the week of the hurricane and Outer Banks Blue Vacation Rentals was quick to respond to any concerns. I would 100% recommend renting through them!

We had a great stay at Atlantis Found! Great location, only a five minute walk to the beach. The pool and the hot tub were the perfect addition to the house. We loved how big the dining room table was, and how the majority of the bedrooms had queen or king beds!

We had the best week--us and our 6 kids that range in age from 6-15! There was something for everyone!

We have been using Outer Banks Blue for the last 3 years and are never disappointed! This year we stayed at Slam Dunk in the Monteray Shores community in Corolla and it was amazing!

The kitchen was fully stocked and one small thing that felt like a real blessing was the filtered water feature on the fridge. No buying bottles and bottles of water for the week! Sounds minor, but I would literally rent this house again just for that lol.

The house was in a neighborhood that was quiet and perfect for the kids to ride bikes. We were within walking/biking distance of everything we needed, including the grocery store. The beach was a bit of a walk (20 minutes) which we didn't mind for catching a beautiful sunrise, but not as much fun in the middle of the hot day. So we drove .5 miles down the road to the public parking area and had zero issues.

So much to do: we rented a kayak for a day and it was so easy to launch from within the community. There was also a community pool and pickle ball courts/gear available to us that we loved too! We caught sunrises and sunsets, enjoyed the hot tub, had serious Foosball tournaments, and loved hanging out on the deck.

The only issue we had was when the kitchen sink was leaking. We texted Outer Banks Blue after hours and we received a response within minutes and someone came out to check it out the next morning (it wasn't an emergency). He was kind and quick.

The house was clean, including the hot tub which can get weird sometimes, and the $250 vacation gear rental credit is a huge perk! Definitely recommend!

We had a great time renting with outer banks blue at Beachcomber’s Paradise! Our vacation was amazing, and the pets loved it as well. Here is us checking out Jockey Ridge State Park, seeing some wildlife on our evening walk, and going to the beach! We will be back.

This house exceeded my expectations. We stayed in November and it was rainy, windy, and cold most days; but we all had a blast in this place. The girls sang karaoke while we played pool. When the rain let up we played ping pong and relaxed in the hot tub. It was the perfect distance to the beach and the views were immaculate. This house had everything we needed and then some. Its mermaid theme was so fun and super well done. Loved this house so much.

I’ve stayed oceanfront before but never had this view out my bedroom window! What a gorgeous and relaxing sight to hold. We thoroughly enjoyed our week long stay with Outer Banks Blue. Our condo was clean and perfectly decorated. I loved the details including many places to hang clothes or towels. My small children didn’t want to leave the room, they enjoyed it so much. But when we did we had clean and not crowded beach to enjoy. We only get to travel to a beach once a year, and we’ve already decided we will be back!

We had such an amazing week at What the Shell! The weather was perfect the entire week (April 15-22, 2023), and being oceanfront was worth every penny. We discovered ghost crabs, saw dolphins throughout the week, and enjoyed several gorgeous sunsets.
We did arrive to one of the King master bedrooms not being made up, but the management company delivered sheets the next day (luckily there was an extra bedroom for us to sleep in the first night). The hot tub was also brown and murky, but they came to fix it and put chlorine tabs in, and we were able to enjoy it the majority of the week.
The house was perfect for our extended family of 10; everyone was comfortable, plenty of entertainment for the kids with the ping pong and billiards table. We do wish the pool had been open during our stay given it was sunny and warm our whole trip, but the kids braved the ocean (brr!). This was our first trip to OBX, but won’t be our last!

We had a wonderful time! Got to see the bright full moon at night and be at the beach in the peace and quiet of the morning. The house had a great pool that was well maintained. It also had a second floor deck with a table and chairs to sit at for outdoor meals and enjoy the beautiful weather. In addition there were also chairs on the deck and by the pool to relax on and a picnic table under the deck. The outdoor shower was very helpful especially when we came back from the beach and just needed to rinse off before getting in the pool. The house had sufficient bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen space, and dining room space for our needs. Everyone I spoke to at Outer Banks Blue was very helpful. Overall a great experience!

This was the fifth year I have stayed at Shades of Blue. I love this house and location as much this last visit as I did the first visit. In 2021 I changed from 1 week to a 2 week stay and it is the perfect house to feel at home at while enjoying the beach and the ocean. As when planning a beach vacation you never know what the weather will be and this year it was cool the 2 weeks and on a number of days very windy. I was able to get to sit on the beach a couple of days and then was able to sit on the deck the whole day a number of other days as the house blocked the wind. Regardless of the weather, it was still a wonderful time away and this house is a great house for either beach or deck time or just relaxing in the house. You have wonder views of the beach and ocean while in the kitchen dining room living room, an upstairs alcove or bedroom. One thing we enjoy the most is getting up and having a cup of coffee or two in the deck in the morning enjoying the sunrises and the peace the ocean brings. The house is perfectly located for access to a lot of fantastic restaurants and the Kill Devil Grill is always a must. It is perfectly situated for great shopping in non beach days. Ladies check out Miss Lizzie’s and if into knitting or crocheting Knitting Addiction. I am booked for 2024 and 2025 for Shades of Blue and am so looking forward to my time there in future. It is a wonderful house and location.

Thank you David Hart for sending our clothes that we forgot! My daughter thought she had lost those sweaters forever. We had a great time over Christmas in the outerbanks!! And we love booking through Outer Banks Blue!

Outstanding house and fabulous customer service from Outer Banks Blue. One of our best weeks yet in Corolla. The family is growing and each year our needs change. This house was perfect for us. The wonder of sunrise with the grandkids is awesome and the beach days were filled with endless fun.

Outer Banks Blue has been wonderful to work with over the last 3 years. My family 1st use Outer Banks Blue for a family Christmas rental in 2019. They did such a marvelous job I chose to use them again for this Thanksgiving family getaway this year. Caroline and her team was very attentive from 18 months ago when I made the reservation until we left the property. We had found a couple small needs at the property while we were there and, via text, Caroline and her team were very quick to respond and act to our needs.
The property was clean, beds made, bath towels and wash clothes were all staged and ready to use for each of our party members from the time we arrived. Thank you very much Caroline and team, I will certainly look to Outer Banks Blue as my first choice in the future rentals in the Outer Banks!

Our large family has been coming to Nags Head for over 20 years and have stayed at listing NH012 - Sunfish for at least 10 of those years. It's the family highlight of the year. We just love the location and the pool and the beachfront access. We're already excited for next year!

We had such a wonderful time! From the gorgeous morning sunrises to the amazing pool and hot tub, doggie time on the beach, and relaxing walks on the beach! The home was perfect for us with plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. The kitchen and dining areas were wonderful for enjoying meals together. The home also had nice covered decks to enjoy sitting and relaxing or eating outside. The beach access at “Mackerel” was a quick walk making it an easy walk to the beach, and the beach was gorgeous! The management team met all of our needs and requests, and we’re already excited for a trip back next year!

We were able to wake up every morning to this gorgeous view from Outer Banks Blue’s Crabcake home! The house was perfect for our whole family with plenty of great accommodations like the beautiful kitchen that hosted many meals, a movie theater for the kids and adults to enjoy, a private pool and hot tub, and the super convenient washer and dryer on the second floor! We were about a 3 minute walk from the beach, which was perfect for the small kiddos in our group. The fence in the back yard provided privacy that I noticed some other houses in the area lacked, so that was fantastic! Outer Banks Blue was a great company to book through. Their customer service on the phone was phenomenal, they checked in on us via text and allowed us to text back questions, which were responded to very quickly. The house was very clean and beautifully decorated. We look forward to booking again with Outer Banks Blue!

We stayed at Liv’n Wright with Outer Banks Blue from 10/30/22 to 11/6/22. Excellent house! Beautifully remodeled and in a great location with the beach being right across the street. House was well equipped with everything we needed and we loved the smart screen that offered various restaurant recommendations.

We enjoyed sunrise walks each day with our furry friends and they enjoyed all of their naps throughout the day! So grateful for Outer Banks Blue and their pet friendly homes. Thanks for the memories!

Absolutely beautiful beach house!! We loved it so much that we would definitely book it again. Been coming to OBX for years and never booked the same house before…Ocean Hideaway has been our favorite by far!! The dune top deck was so amazing!! Weather enjoying morning coffee, watching the ocean, sunrise, kiddos playing, dolphins and seagulls…best ever!! Can’t wait to be there again!
