My favorite restaurant in town! They have something for everyone. From burgers & fish, to salads & pasta, this is a place you just keep coming back to. The Key West grilled chicken salad is a favorite on the menu in addition to the Cheeseburger from Paradise & the Cajun Chicken Pasta. Their dressings are homemade too! The wait staff are always accommodating, even to the point of other servers than our own anticipating our needs like refilling a glass on their way by our table. The parking lot can get a little crazy but it's only because this place is so popular! Village Grill is a good place for date night, a work lunch outing, girls night, and families.

Went here for our usual Friday Family Day. Everything was excellent! The fried oysters were succulent, the crab dip was a little too strong but still good. I had their special for that day which was the Mediterranean Sea Bass and it was tasty. The ribeye with pimento was also good, but what surprised me was their chicken tenders that we ordered for my kiddo, those were the best tenders I’ve tasted (had to steal some for mommy tax). Will be back here again!

Our favorite restaurant, hands down. We’ve been eating here for years and it has now become our Friday night tradition.

My favorite has always been the grilled chicken pasta and Cajun chicken pasta. Their salads are so good and worth adding on to your entree. Their rolls are an amazing addition to the meal and their sweet tea is on point.

We’ve had great servers over the years and you can clearly tell management cares about service and quality of food as they’ve kept it consistent for many years.

Their key lime pie and strawberry shortcake is to die for. Don’t forget their seasonal items and specials. Our personal favorite is the fried squash served in the summer! :)

I've been going here for years and it is still so delicious every single visit! Their crab dip is a must-get! The service last time I was there is top-notch as well. The only complaint I have is the decor (which is a minor thing). It's looking a little dated -- I'd love to see a renovation that matches the quality of their amazing food. I honestly think this is probably the best food in Burlington (and you can't beat the prices).

Simply Amazing!!! My family ate dinner here and we all loved it. I had the Grilled Chicken Alfredo and it was absolutely delicious. The chicken is marinated in their special house dressing (I think). I had to ask for some extra alfredo sauce but other than that the dish was perfect. The fries were very good too...I couldn't stop eating them from my husband's plate. 🙂
CJ was one of best servers we have had in awhile when dining out. He was very attentive and friendly. Bridgett was helpful and friendly too.
Thanks Village Grill!!

Wow, I was surprised by how great this place is! It's family friendly with coloring for kids. And it's pleasantly quiet with a relaxed atmosphere. And the food was wonderful and surpassed my expectations! And they serve drinks. It's hard to find a place that does all these things well, but Village Grill definitely does it all!

Let’s chat about the Village Grill from a local (25 years around Alamance County).

1. The decor is definitely from the 80’s. I call it paradise. The 1980’s was the last time some of my generation were genuinely happy, when we were kids. Times weren’t simpler, but we sure were. So please, Village Grill, don’t ever change that 1989 Miami Vice Key West decor. Our family loves it.

2. Get the bread and whipped butter. It’s just so comforting. Get another basket if you have a large group.

3. I love the fact they don’t have everything with chili peppers, like every place else does. If I want spicy, I will go to a restaurant that traditionally has lots of chili peppers in their cuisine. They do have wasabi, ginger, horseradish and hot sauce, so if you need pain with dinner to enhance the flavor, Village can accommodate.

4. Their classic dish is the Key West Chicken, with honey mustard on the side, and get the twice baked potato dish as your side. It’s classic Village Grill.

5. Get the strawberry shortcake for dessert. No, it is not traditional shortbread. Don’t complain, it’s good. It’s a sugar vanilla pineapple cake with masses of whipped cream and sugared strawberries. They do sell out of the shortcake frequently, so I would order it early on in your meal.

6. The slow service is part of Village Grill since the dawn of time. Village Grill is not for the overcaffeinated, anxious masses who need to be in and out of dinner in 45 minutes. You’re going to be here 2 hours at least. If you don’t enjoy or don’t want to focus on the company you’re with, you might need to consider somewhere fast casual, with lots of distractions. Village Grill is a place for leisurely meals and good conversation.

(I’m surprised how people understand how Jamaican restaurants make food fresh, and therefore take forever to serve you. The same folks will praise French restaurants for the leisurely dinner, but complain about how slow Village’s service is.)

I love Village Grill’s commitment to hiring diversely, the leisurely pace of dinner, and the Miami Vice decor. Great place to bring a family for dinner or a business partner for lunch.

PS: Village Grill used to have the lobby waiting seats, but now they have a DoorDash food carousel because restaurants are forced to change with the times to remain open. Diners decide to order on DoorDash instead of coming in. That’s not the restaurant’s fault. I guarantee if you really are hurting while standing, and ask for a chair to be brought to your location, they would do it. There's also a bar where you can sit and order food.

We were so delighted to find this gem while traveling in Burlington. My chicken salad was perfect and fresh fruit was refreshing. My son’s cheeseburger was cooked to perfection and his fries were nice and crisp. We also thoroughly enjoyed our chocolate chess pie and crème brûlée deserts. Wait staff was very attentive but not overly so. I wish we had this restaurant at home, because I would definitely be a “regular”!

The key west chicken and garlic mashed potatoes are amazing, highly recommend! But if you go, you must get the sesame chicken tenders appetizer. They come with a side of the most delicious wasabi sauce ♥. You may ask “chicken tendies as an appetizer? I’m not 8 years old”. Let me tell you, ok, these are the best tendies I’ve had in my life. Don’t do yourself a disservice by not getting them. That’s all I am saying.

Great restaurant that stays busy, which is a testament to the delicious food and great wait staff they have there!

The parking lot is a bit small so there can be a challenge finding parking.

The rolls and butter are delicious but I recommend you ask for the oil and spices to dip the bread in! (They won’t bring it unless you ask specifically for it)

Quality food with excellent taste! I highly recommend the lime and cilantro salmon. (I had the lunch cut)

Trying to find a restaurant we had not been in the area. The service was okay but slow. We had the crab dip that was good and fresh. The pasta was good. The chicken tenders were good. The martini was good. The prices are expensive for the area but the quality of the food is good.

Close to the highway 40 and on a road with lots of options. Fast internet speed for the kids. A real good family location. A menu that is based on a well established recipe. I had the Cajun shrimp with a beer. Friend had a pasta chicken plate, generous portion and son had a chicken sandwich…. My son said it was “excellent” and he is a tough critic…. We finish it off with a home made Key-lime pie.

Manager was very hands on ensuring everything was perfect. Seldom do I see such attention to detail.

Yesterday was the first time I had eaten at Village Grill with my friend and the food was so good! Our waitress was Vanessa and she was so sweet and attentive to our needs and as for the atmosphere it was so groovy and colorful and everyone there seemed pleasant. So I has the Shrimp Scampi with Jasmine rice and a side of fries and also 2 rolls for a starter. Overall everything was good and I will definitely be coming back here!

Eating dinner on a Friday night. We ate in the bar area and it was awesome customer service. The shrimp tacos were perfect with the side of French fries. We love Village Grill. The parking lot is always full but don't let that fool you. They usually have space inside. Come with your group in one car it makes it easier to find a parking space.

When I visit my mom in Burlington, this is her favorite place to go, and I can see why. I really like the salad topped with grilled salmon, and the Cheeseburger from Paradise with Fries. The meat is always grilled to perfection, and their french fries are always really tasty. All the times I've visited, my servers were always pleasant and knowledgeable.

This place was recommended by a co-worker. Every Tuesday is half-price bottle of wine night, so if you're planning on more than one glass, go ahead and get the bottle (you can take it with you if you don't finish it at the table). I made a mistake by ordering the steak... it wasn't bad, but once I tried the Key West chicken I realized there is a reason it is the featured item on the menu! GET IT!

Went here for the first time for lunch. I had the Cajun chicken pasta and it was pretty good. My husband had the chicken salad sandwich and she crab soup. That was good too. Our server was Jamie and she was wonderful. She was very accommodating and paid lots of attention to all of her tables, checking on each one regularly. Our food came out super fast-will be visiting here again.

Im not gonna lie the outward appearance of the resturant confused me a little. I was almost expecting a tropical resturant like what you might expect at the beach. Once we got inside however, we were surprised to find a nice cozy little area where we enjoyed some very delicious pasta.
I ordered the chicken pasta with alfredo sauce and let me tell you it was so delicious i wanted to keep eating even after i was full.
The menu was a tad small but if the rest of the options are as delicious as that was then i promise you wont mind.
Definitely a place we will return to.
