I really love this place. I try to come here when I come to OBX. Their food is awesome always on point. This time I tried something that I really didn't want to try and boy was it delicious. The waiter was on point. He seemed to be having a hard time from the next table though. They were just so unsatisfiable it seemed. He kept our drinks filled and brought extra napkins without even being asked. He was awesome. The atmosphere is so great too. Oh and a tropical storm was going on outside too, but no one cared. Love it!!

Everything here was great! The seafood gumbo was FANTASTIC, plenty of heat, lots of sausage, and a surprising portion of shrimp and scallops. We also tried the aloha chicken which was a huge hit as well. Lots of flavor in the dishes and it is a good atmosphere. Great bar for watching football and prices were reasonable. We would return again for sure.

I am so so glad I read a review about this place, so I had to write one, too! We liked it so much during our weekend stay that we visited twice! Great food, great drinks, and just an all-around fun place to be at the beach! Go see for yourself!

The atmosphere was great for the whole family. We recommend the Nashville hot chicken sandwich - it’s spicy. The crab cake sandwich was also great - not a lot of filler. The fried onions were so good as a side. Service is top notch. 10/10 recommend coming here. Food was 10/10.

This is my new favorite restaurant! I just wish we lived in the area so we could come more often!!

My daughter cannot touch gluten and we typically have a hard time finding new restaurants. This place was fantastic!

We wanted to eat family style so we could try several dishes. Our waiter made suggestions given our dietary concerns and desire to try new foods. They made every dish GF for us and my GF daughter was just floored that she could eat everything they brought. That was a treat for her. They even marked the plates with allergen stickers to ensure the food was handled properly. Wow - we usually have to question before she chances taking a bite…

Besides that, the food was excellent. I am not big on fish, but I wanted to try something beyond salmon. I absolutely loved the South Pacific Tuna and Mahi Mahi and Shrimp. The other dishes were good too, but I am obsessed with how good those 2 were.

I also thought our waiter was awesome. He made suggestions based on our wish list and really picked right for us. He also made the extra effort to ensure the gf daughter was able to try everything. He was great about getting us fresh drinks and checking on us. Thank you Jaden!!! You were great!

One more note from my daughter… although we were too full for dessert, she wanted other celiacs to know… they have GF dessert!! This was big 😛

Even though they were busy, wait wasn’t too long. Great food (try the Gryros nachos for sure!!!!) and our server was amazing. So sweet and very attentive!
Laid back vibes and it wasn’t overly loud if that is something you watch out for. Would definitely recommend giving this place a try!!

Kaya was an amazing server and the food was too. The Kill Deviled Eggs and Crab Dip were awesome. The other dishes were great as well...

We had dinner here for the first time and couldn’t have been more pleased. We had gyro nachos (amazing), bang bang chicken tenders and a supreme pizza. Everything was great and the service couldn’t have been better! Janette was wonderful. Atmosphere was awesome and prices were very reasonable. Will definitely return!

Great restaurant, went on a crowded night but got drinks at bar and brought outside while waiting. Delicious food, great server, clean bathrooms restaurant a little dark.

Went for dinner with my fiance during our first trip to the Outer Banks. Barefoot Bernie's has a super fun tropical vibe inside, and the restaurant and bathrooms are very clean. Great service from the staff all around, especially our server Chase. The food was spectacular! Definitely try the baked seafood trio or seafood gumbo. Recommend stopping here for dinner and drinks if you're in OBX.

As expected of a coastal town, the fish was delicious. The clam chowder is great, and the crab dip was great. The Brazilian Steak was phenomenal.

Extremely good food, excellent service and a menu full of variety. I had the Gyro and this was all that's left... Nice big portions so don't worry about leaving hungry!!!

Great dining experience for dinner, all delicious! We had clam chowder and nachos to start. For entrees, we had the sea bass special, jambalaya and the burger. The wines and beers are fair price and a large selection as well. Great service from Jennifer and Kristy. We will be back again!

We have passed this place for years, and we kept saying our next day trip we'd popped in!! We finally did and were very pleased with the food service and atmosphere 😀 I had a salad, the hubby had the Mac & Cheese, and it was delicious. Then we split the best Philly Cheesesteak since our high scho year's. 😊 Thanks and so sorry we waited so looooong to give it a try.😘😘

I came here for Valentine's Day dinner with my husband and had the Mac and cheese appetizer and I talked about it so much we went back the next night with the whole family and it happened to be Mac and cheese night 😂. Thankfully we are locals so I can keep coming back again and again. My husband still talks about the bang bang chicken, and the shrimp 🤤. I don't know why I've never stopped in here before. There is so much on the menu I want to try, I'm definitely coming back, especially for that Mac and cheese haha. Everything was fast, hot, perfect. The servers were friendly and attentive but not overbearing. I'm coming back!

This restaurant is now officially on our list of “must eat here!!!” When we visit! We came for a late lunch, so we were starving! We had the wings and crab dip for our appetizers, the tacos & some sort of coconut curry dish as our meal, and of course desserts! Everything was amazing, but that crab dip was to die for. I really could go for some of that right now to be honest! Yum! The wings were ahhhmayzing as well!! The tacos were so delicious & the desserts were the perfect way to top it all off! Funnel cake fries?! Like what?! I now fully understand why there’s always a line to get in here, I can’t wait to come back and really enjoy a big dinner! *update - we came back for lunch a few weeks later, made a to-go order with the philly cheese steak sub and fries (OH EM GEEEE) & a southwest chicken salad. So so good!!! We will keep coming back!
