My family goes to the OBX for summer vacation every year. We always find time to do a family craft - we’ve done so many things - pottery, painted ceramics, wine & paint, jewelry, tie-dye but this mixed media was - By. Far. Our. FAVORITE! It was so much fun, perfect for all levels of creativity/skill, and the instructor/owner was delightful.

I changed my mind on my project shortly after beginning & asked if I could do a different design, offering to pay for the supplies I’d used. She was fabulous, gracious, & generous. Another aspect of her teaching style that I really appreciated was that she would help as much or as little as a student wanted.

If we had done this craft earlier in the week, we all agreed that we would have gone back again, there were so many cool designs and it was so much fun. If I could give 10 stars I would.

Deja New is a wonderful little shop that has unusual home decor and art. They also hold weekly mixed media art classes where you have a great relaxing, fun time rven if you don't have artistic talent.
