This was not my first experience with this practice, and prior experiences haven't been great, but my recent visit was excellent. I'll admit that making an appointment took a long time and was difficult. Everyone I interacted with this past Thursday was pleasant and helpful. I saw Dr. Cender, who is always terrific. One person I'd like to mention specifically is Sheila in Scheduling. She went above and beyond getting my procedure scheduled for the near future. She was friendly and helpful, and she eased my anxiety, which is an enormous blessing.

Carrie Voedish as always didnt make wait long for my appointment and was prepared. The recent medication she prescribed is working well with the help of her nurse "Elise" which is always very thorough and always follows up was able to get this medication approved through BCBS which was a hurdle in its self.
So, yes great team at Asheville Gastro!

Had my first appointment yesterday with Virginia Waymouth, it went great. She took so much time getting my history and all the meds my doctor in Montgomery had tried. I felt embarrassed taking so much time, but she said I was her last patient of the day. We are going to try something new, if it works, it will be a miracle after years of suffering.

I have been a patient for a number of years here. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. During COVID, they've taken great steps to protect their patients and staff. As a high-risk patient, I truly appreciate this. The only negative is their current phone system. It is not working correctly and it is difficult to reach a person. I had to go to the office in person THREE times in order to make progress in getting a much needed appointment. But once I got it, everything moved along smoothly. Although, honestly, I could do with less than a dozen reminders that came via emails, calls and texts.
Overall, great staff! Oh, and by the way, my endoscopy went smoothly and with NO PAIN whatsoever!♥

I had a virtual (due to Covid) follow up appointment with Dr. Harlan yesterday. He was thorough with his questions and took time to answer mine. The medical staff called ahead of time to verify my medical information and make sure the app was set up and ready to use. It went very smooth. I have been a patient at this practice for many years and have had a positive experience each and every time. I’ve found every department a pleasure to work with!

The PA Brian was so understanding and took the time to talk to me and then let me talk and answered my questions and even explained my upcoming procedure. I am so glad I went with this team of doctors

I've been a patient here for 2 years. Every time I've had a question or concern they promptly would get back to me whether I sent a question on the portal or by phone. The care itself has been stellar. They have gone above and beyond to make sure I'm getting the treatment I need. I don't understand the negative reviews because they have been very accommodating for me and I'm no one special. All in all I'm having a great experience with DHP.

This is a well run organization. My doctor referred me to them for my inevitable colonoscopy. They called me and asked me all the screening and intake questions. They called in the Rx and followed up to make sure I didn't have any questions. The day of the procedure was very smooth and professional. I always knew what was going on and never felt neglected. The doctor and anesthesiologists were both very professional and good communicators.

All in all, getting a colonoscopy is never fun, but they made it as pleasant as it could be under the circumstances and treated me like a human being with respect. On the negative side, it took them 3 tries to get the IV in an acceptable vein and the doctor spoke to me after the surgery but before my Propofol wore off so I can't remember what he said.

Amazing experience! Not something one would expect to say after a colonoscopy. 😁 I had one 25-30 years ago and the prep was torture, the procedure uncomfortable and kind of humiliating but this was unexpectedly simple. At the 191 Biltmore Ave location, people were great, prep was easy, covid precautions the best I've seen, and procedure was over in a second. I'm amazed at the anesthesia too...no weird sensation going in or coming out. Son wasn't thrilled with having to be on premise in the car for 1 1/2 hrs (but could have been worse). Overall A++, highly recommend!

I had a routine, long overdue colonoscopy screen with Dr. Perez. For every step in the process, from appointment, intake, nurse, anesthesiologist , to the doctor, everyone was kind, efficient, knowledgeable and professional. I could not have asked for a better experience.

I cannot say enough nice things about Dr. Garvin, Will, and LaToya. I was terrified prior to my procedure and they each treated me with such kindness and dignity. I look forward to being a patient of Dr. Garvin’s for years to come.

I was very pleased with Dr. Varner and all the medical staff. The ones working at the front desks were very helpful and friendly too. I also appreciated the follow up with me at home his morning. All in all, thank you for the great care!

Been going here for years. My experience has always been very positive. Recent visit with Dr. Perez and his staff was very professional, friendly and reassuring. I have always been well taken care of.

Everyone involved from the receptionist straight through to the doctor we’re very professional, courteous and a pleasure to speak with. Great bunch of folks I certainly recommend them highly.

Highly recommend Dr Newcomer and his staff. They were very thorough and very safe, both with the procedure and covid precautions. There was little waiting and the whole process ran like clockwork. Thank you!!!

I have been a Pt of Dr, Jefferies for 7 yrs. The best Dr. and staff that I have ever had. I feel like there is no way they could improve...love these guys.
