Verri's Italian Ristorante

Don’t miss out on this amazing spot! The food delicious. Fettuccine noodles were hand made and the Alfredo the best I have ever had. I planned to take half home and ate the entire plate! Salad was fresh and delicious. Our desserts were both delicious. We will be back every time the craving for Italian hits! Service was on point. The chairs comfortable. The tables set beautifully! Sorry we don’t have good pictures. It was so good I didn’t even think about taking a picture!

We went here to celebrate our anniversary at the recommendation of a co-worker whom said we would appreciate the old world elegance and great food....and he was RIGHT!

As soon as we entered, we were warmly greeted. As it would be approximately a 45 minutes wait as we didn't have reservations, we opted to sit at the bar and have a drink until our table was ready. I had a dirty Martini and hubby had an Italian Mule. Both were perfectly made. So good I had a second one!

Our table was ready in about 20 minutes & we were taken to a cozy table set beautifully with pressed linens, pretty flowers, candles, and perfectly set table. It was the perfect place for a romantic meal and the softly playing music added to it. Really gave an old world feel to the intimate restaurant.

We started with their soft, warm bread which we dipped in the spicy EVOO which was so fresh and tasty.

Next we shared the polpettos which were light & tender with a very fresh tasting sauce.

For entrees, I had the ravioli with tomato basil sauce and hubby had the lasagna. Both were beyond amazing. The pasta was tender and the sauce was like have peak of the season tomatoes it tasted that fresh. This was Italian food at its finest!

We capped off the meal with the best tiramisu I have had in a very long time.

Sammy was the best waitress and we look forward to seeing her again🙂

If you want refined Italian cooking without theatrics or loud booming music, this is where you should go🍝

Made a reservation using their website and showed a few minutes early and was seated right away. We were waited on promptly and from there, the meal was truly enjoyable. You know you're visiting a good Italian restaurant when the smell inside is pleasant without being overpowering. My lasagna was really good. A large portion. My wife's Veal Piccata was a large portion with tender meat and angel hair pasta. Bread with olive oil and spices was served before. All in all, this is one of the finest Italian Restaurants I have visited including those in Rome and Sorrento, Italy. This is Italy, by way of New York. You'll love it. Extra points for the music... exellente'.

A real full service Italiano Ristorante with:
1. Starters = delicately fried Artichokes with a Balsamic drizzle
2. Whine = Bottle of Italian Moscato
3. Main Course =
A. Eggplant Parmigiano with penne
B. Special of the day, spinach mushroom Ravioli with a very flavorful spinach mushroom Creme Buttery sauce
Note: pasta is made fresh in-house 😋 and served near perfect al dente ....
4. Dessert = no chocolate items :(
This is a very clean and comfortable atmosphere with a very competent professional staff. The table place setting was excellent with fresh flowers 💐.

We had a great dinner here with friends. My shrimp and scallop linguine was amazing. The pasta was perfect. Atmosphere was welcoming and comfortable. Great place for a date night out!

We Had a wonderful experience at the brand new Verri's Italian Ristorante. I had the chicken marsala. The chicken was very tender, the marsala was savory and the mushroom were well defined with mushroom flavor and just the right texture. Dish paired well with the Chiante that was recommended. The ambiance was romantic and it is a great remodeling of the former Mona Lisa!

window seat is not spectacular, but the ambience is nice, service is attentive. I have no complaints.

One if those little restaurants you love to find in a town. Portions are huge and very well done. Server was great. It was our first time and she interacted with us on recommendations and about the town

I’m sure this will be the first of many because the first was just wonderful. I was a big fan of Mona Lisa’s but it appears that the new folks have done everything to preserve the quality and simply make it better. The ambience is now elegant, white table cloths, black napkins with accents of gold and marble. The people were so kind, friendly, articulate and knowledgeable. And the food… the food was genuine Italian and impeccably delicious. Verri’s kept my favorite’s; Pittsburgh Ribeye, seared and rare, and the Rack of Lamb for which I will return next week. I usually avoid dessert to mind my diet but this cheesecake, so rich and creamy and drizzled with blueberry compote was so worth cheating. I wish my best to Franko and Sandy but hail hail to Verri’s for moving in to become our new favorite.

This place is spectacular. The food is always primo. Literally everything I have tried here is the best. My favorite meal is a Cesar salad with chicken fettuccini Alfredo and tiramisu.
The food is really delicious, but the staff here is stellar. I always feel welcome and cared for when I come in. The team takes care of every need, anticipating what you might ask for and having it to your table before you ask. They’re friendly and hard working. They take care of each other on shift like a real team should. Madison, particularly, always manages to handle her customers with the expert care. She manages to make her tables feel like they are the only ones in the room even when she’s scrambling around waiting 5-6 tables. The one time there was a difficult situation, I watched her handle it with such grace and professionalism, even when she was treated poorly by the customer. She and the rest of the staff are treasures and I hope they are well taken care of.

Great place with real Italian food, I was shocked that lasagna could taste so great, and the cheesecake was amazing. The staff were very knowledgeable of what to recommend and they were spot on. Thanks for the great experience. My wife said it's the best Italian restaurant she has ever eaten at and I agree

10/10 - being from NY I’m a picky pasta eater and this place has a great menu. I got the Alfredo, my bf got the chicken parm. The artichokes were my favorite though! Our server was great and the atmosphere is good for a lil dinner date or for an out of town “let me take you to my favorite spot” situation.

Wonderful from start to finish. We went last night for a quick dinner. I highly recommend the fettuccine Alfredo and the house salad. My family loved their meals, too. We also ordered the gelato for dessert. We were skeptical at first because the chef mixes a ton of favors together with a splash of brandy. Somehow, all the flavors merged well together and we ate it all. Definitely make a reservation!

First time since Mona Lisa Closed. Was upset when Mona Lisa quit doing pizza. Especially the stuffed. Verri’s has a star pizza with knotted ends stuffed with ricotta. Really good. Cesar salad was more than enough for 2. And the dressing was homemade and we definitely tasted the anchovies. We’d go back to have a meal.

A most pleasant evening. Service by Madison was primo and the food excellent. Highly recommend the lasagna. Artichoke app was amazing. First but not last trip.

We had an excellent dinner here. The rigatoni was spot on and the ravioli had a flavorful creamy sauce with walnuts. My husband and I split a Cesar salad. Everything was fabulous, including the mixed drinks. It is a bit on the pricey side, but it was a special treat for us. We will definitely be back. If you are in the mood for some delicious Italian, look no further. Our service was also great. The new owner has really fixed this place up nicely.

We had the lasagna and Rigatoni. Both dishes were great! We will be back to try other dishes.

First time trying the new Verri's Italian Ristorante in Hendersonville, NC (previously Mona Lisa. New owner Tom, also owns Brooks Tavern in downtown Hendo, and a new Brooks location in Tryon as well.)
Tom was onsite, just as he always seems to be at Brooks... even saw him pulling orders in the kitchen.
The ambience is FABULOUS...much improved over the run down Mona Lisa. We arrived at 4:55 pm for 5pm reservation and were seated immediately... only 2 other tables were seated when we arrived. Our server Naomi promptly approached with throrough description of specials and gave us adequate time to discuss and review menu before returning to take our order. She was knowledgable regarding wine pairings for our meal selections. Bread basket with superbly spiced EVOO dip brought to table promptly upon ordering entrees. I ordered the special du jour, chicken picatta (traditional and also superb), Hubby ordered Rigatoni al Forno (again, superb). Both entrees were adequate portion, and along with bread basket, left perfect room for the really tasty tiramisu and NY cheesecake with blueberry sauce. Only downside... really small wine list, but suitable choices... typical, but suitable, nothing truly outstanding for the wine connoisseur.
Full bar... interesting signature cocktails that we will definitely try next time.
Reservations definitely recommended due to small occupancy and short dinner hours (open 4pm to 9pm only). By 6pm the restaurant was bustling!
We both enjoyed the whole experience, and are looking forward to going back as soon as possible to try the pizza because it looked amazing!

First time eating here since the remodel and new ownership... we always enjoyed Mona Lisa's food and were excited to see the improved atmosphere. Madison took good care of us and had such a delightful disposition! I had the chicken piccata, which was superb. The chicken was perfect and so tender, very tasty! My husband enjoyed his Rigatoni Al Forno as well but I think he was also looking forward to helping me finish my chicken piccata LOL! We split a tiramisu and it was one of the best I've had. Good food, great service, wonderful atmosphere!

We had a reservation and were quickly seated when we arrived. The waitress was knowledgeable, pleasant and attentive. I can’t say enough about the renovation and upgraded atmosphere. We enjoyed 4 different entrees, salads and the tiramisu and all were excellent. The eggplant parmigiana was the best I’ve ever had. Verri’s is such a nice addition to the HVL food scene.
