Vintage Photo Scan

I had Vintage Photo Scan convert 15 of my family videos that were on 8mm tape to mp4. I was pleased with the excellent quality of the finished product, it was done quickly, the price was right, and communication with Vintage Photo Scan was excellent. Eight extended family members received copies for Christmas and their reactions were priceless. Highly recommend!

I spent time searching for a place i I could trust 100% with my memories and my parents VHS and Beta tapes as well as old film of my siblings and myself. They are experts at what they do and so compassionate and caring. It was an altogether wonderful experience! I had 3 tapes from my video recorder (remember them?) from almost 20 years ago in a format that doesn't really exist anymore so I was unable to watch them. These were from trips we made to Ireland with my late mother and also our honeymoon.
Vintage Photo Scan remastered them and made them digitally accessible so I could share the link of these treasured memories with my family across the world.

I was a bit nervous about entrusting my precious photos to Vintage, but Sam and Fred more than earned my trust. All my questions were answered about how the scanning works and what the online presentation would look like. They told me exactly how to prepare my photos and they were returned to me in the same condition as I sent them - plus the cost was reasonable.

My children and grandchildren are very happy to have their own online album of our family’s history, their childhoods and our holidays and reunions. Sam is knowledgeable and friendly and I definitely recommend our own downtown Hendersonville Vintage Photo Scan.

As a new grandmother, I was excited to share stories, photos and videos of our daughter to show how much our granddaughter is like her mommy! Unfortunately, I had 15 to 20 VHS tapes and even some cassettes that I was unable to watch. I used Vintage Photo Scan because I use to work with Sam and know of her quality of work and her enthusiasm for connecting people with their stories. The cost is extremely reasonable and the returned product was amazing. It is not a mail away business. They interact directly with you either by text, phone or email and keep you informed of the progress each step of the way. Super pleased and plan on using them again in the near future, especially as my granddaughter continues to grow!

We asked Vintage Photo Scan to take a collection of hardcopy photos of our son and daughter-in-law at different stages of their lives and create a video slide show to play at their wedding rehearsal party as a surprise to the two of them. We found the team at Vintage to be very easy to work with and eager to meet our expectations. We had the opportunity to review and make modifications throughout the process, and the end product was exactly what we were hoping to achieve. The presentation was well received by the couple and all the guests at the party. We will definitely bring future projects back to Vintage Photo Scan!

Took some old 8mm Hi-8 camcorder tapes in for conversion to digital format. A couple of the tapes were 30 years old and I was worried about losing cherished memories from the past. I was very pleased with the service and performance of their work. Now I have safely loaded these on my iMac computer and couldn’t be more pleased with the outcome!

My son was a military pilot that lost his life during a mission over Bosnia in 1993. The only video I had of him was on VHS tapes, which were deteriorating. Vintage Photo Scan digitized these precious tapes for me in short order and at a reasonable price. This is a great place to do business. No regrets on this end.

We had a number of old slides we wanted to have digitized. We were concerned about sending them away in the mail and found Vintage Photo Scan, a local business. They were a delight to work with and we are very happy with the results. Although their price was a bit higher then online digitizers, we didn't have to pay and deal with shipping and the potential loss of our memories in the mail. I would recommend them highly.

I had almost 500 slides digitized.They provided the flash drives, and met me on Saturdays to pick them up. I'm pleased with the results!

I had a couple old 8mm tapes transferred to a thumb drive, which was wonderful. I was pleasantly surprised when they included a free dropbox link to the movies that I shared with family members. Everyone can just click the link to watch my movies. I think that lasts for 90 days, but it's super cool. Owners are nice and knowledgeable. I'll be back.

I have started working with Vintage Photo Scan in Hendersonville, NC to archive our family memories through photos. A bit of a daunting task, as there are SO MANY photographs and I honestly do not have the personal time or proper equipment to accomplish this. Very important that the photos could be scanned in a way that allows the digital images to be printed in the future. Fred Nace was very forthcoming with good information and suggestions on how to accomplish this, and the turn around time was less than a week. Best part, he was willing to categorize the images into folders by year - which is another time saver for me. They are great people to work with and I highly recommend them.

I brought two old cassette tapes to Vintage. They are both family treasures from decades ago when my children were very small. The tapes were digitized and the noises cleaned up, and I was able to share the download with my children. We were all filled with joy to hear these great memories again.

Accidents and mistakes happen. It is important to recognize when a company handles a mistake.

After my project had been completed, I received an invoice that I felt to be inaccurate. I wrote an email explaining why I was surprised about the cost. Within a couple hours I got a response and met with the owner later in the day. We discussed professionally what had happened and we concluded on the price, agreeable for us both. Miscommunication occurred on both sides.

I too was also in the wrong.

As a consumer, the fear of being cheated, mislead, or scammed can make discussions over agreed cost, stressful. But the expectation of erratic and angry customers over simple issues, makes running small businesses difficult. I have been on both sides.

Vintage Photo Scan did excellent work, but furthermore they were civil, easy to work with, and fair when a mistake was made. Which should give other customers confident to work with them knowing that if imperfection occurs, you will still be treated honestly.
