Mill House Lodge

It's so peaceful and beautiful. It's got a family-like atmosphere. The people are super friendly and quite amicable. No loud parties or groups of kids screaming the pool. It's exactly what i was hoping for. The rooms have definitely been used and they aren't five star hitel material but I was looking for other qualities and found it. Rarely stay in the room. Great little kitchenette. Definitely coming back again.

Cant say enough good things about this cute charming lodge in Flat Rock. Pet friendly, beautiful views, peaceful, tranquil amazing location and very friendly staff. Thank you Peggy for your kindness. We truly enjoyed our stay and are already planning our next visit.
Our room was very clean with everything needed for a weekend stay to tour the area. Grocery store and gas about a mile away. Very convenient since our room had a little kitchen. Sat by the fire with breathtaking views and enjoyed our morning coffee.

This place is awesome. Many lodge-type rooms, really nice. They've got an beautiful private lake with kayaks, canoes, and paddleboats with life jackets for guest use. All staff we've talked to are really nice and accommodating and genuinely seem to want you to have a great time. Oh, and we saw a white squirrel living in the tree right outside our room! Never seen a white one before! Too cool.

This was our second year to come here - the celebrate our anniversary. The managers are very pleasant, the rooms have been neat and clean. There's fishing and boating in their lake, and outdoor grills. Just the perfect place to relax and enjoy the lovely, quiet setting. Eateries and activities are nearby too. Come enjoy.

Stayed for two nights recently and were more than pleased with the accommodations. Yes the rooms are a bit dated but they were certainly clean and well kept and everyone we interacted with were very friendly. The property is within walking distance of the small shops at flat rock but is off the main st so it’s quiet. Will not be our last visit here that’s for sure.

We had a great experience here at Mill House Lodge. We were doing a little work and a little play in Hendersonville NC, and needed a place away from it all (but nearby) to relax. This spot was perfect. We were running around town, so checked in late, the staff was ready and waiting for us. Bob, the owner, stopped by to say hello. They quickly put us into a room, and oh my this was a room. I ended up in the VIP suite, and my friend was in the mini-suite next door. A rustic mountain getaway. We stopped by the bakery up the street and grabbed some bagels and lattes. They have a pool, but it was too cold for that. I turned on the fireplace and that place heated up nicely. From the back balcony of my suite, I looked over the lake and was able to reset my busy life for a moment. I took some gorgeous photos. We ended up jumping on a canoe and canvassing the lake until it got dark. Wonderful neighborhood as a whole and we are looking forward to visiting again real soon. Mill House Lodge has several types of lodging accommodations, and we are planning on using that private lodge house near the mill and waterfall next time.

I booked a room here to wait out a snow storm. Peggy was super-helpful in the reservation process. I later was contacted by Jennifer who provided very useful knowledge for the check in process.
When I arrived, the room was perfectly clean, warm and the outdoor light was left on so I could see (nice touch).

This place is amazing. It is tucked away, but not far from anything you could need or want to do. Came and celebrated fathers day with my family. The staff were very polite. The pool area was a big plus, and nice. They have pond, with a paddle boat and cannos free of charge. We fished and loved it. Great bluegill and bass fishing . We will deffenantly be coming back regularly. Great place!!

The pictures on google of this place are pretty, but they don’t do this place justice. It is truly beautiful here. Mill House Lodge is a retreat... more than it is a hotel. Our room was clean, quite, comfortable, and had everything we needed (and what we didn’t know we needed... silverware, dehumidifier, stove/oven). Two HUGE thumbs up from me and my wife!!!

I stayed here for a month in-between selling and buying my house. Very relaxing setting and I enjoyed hearing the fountain at night. My room had an updated feel, but also still had great lodge feeling character. I would stay here again.

The Mill House Lodge is lovely and well kept. The only thing was the musky smell in the room which I am sure has to do with the lake location and the humidity. I purchased a bottle of febreeze and it helped tremendously. Other than that, the staff was friendly and the room was clean and well kept. The lake is beautiful and the pool was very clean and the entire area well-kept. Would certainly stay again!

This is what people mean when they say a place is a gem. The little lake, the waterfall, small sandy beach with canoe... Walk to town for movies and the bakery. Heaven. So glad we decided to come check this place out. So much better than some random hotel. This place is something special. Unique. Will be back.

The lodge was charming. We found it online looking for a cheap overnight on a long drive. What we got was an affordable room, which was clean and comfortable with a kitchenette with REAL dishes. The ice trays were filled and frozen. The staff was friendly. We got there after the desk closed, but they left personalized notes with directions to room and a welcome as well as coupon for local bakery. We left wanting to plan a multiple night stay another time.

Staff was friendly. It was nice to sit in the rocking chair on the porch overlooking the lake. Room were great. Bed was a little small for two people. Great price for what all we received. Very impressed..Def would stay again if in the area again.

Outstanding service! Very clean rooms. Reasonable rates. Mini kitchen/fridge/microwave a plus! Beautiful view. Very serene and relaxing. Received a post card weeks later thanking us for staying. Very classy. 100% recommend.

Mill House Lodge is a peaceful oasis after a long car ride. We arrived after usual business hours. Our room keys and a welcome note were made available in a late arrival area. Our cabin had a back porch with a view of their lake. We also had a kitchenette with a 4 burner stove and full size fridge/freezer. The staff is ready to help or answer any questions to create a relaxing stay.

Convenient, clean, love the pond and pool but all that is nothing compared to the staff. We left a valuable kids toy in the room that they gladly returned. What a trust worthy group of people. Thank you so much.

Good, clean no frills lodging located in the heart of historic Flat Rock, NC. Have stayed here many times over the past 15 years and have always been pleased with value of the accommodations. They have a variety of units which surround a picturesque pond and a historic grist mill. Most of the units are suites that have kitchettes, porches, clean bathrooms, and HD TV's. Do have swimming pool and canoes...don't have telephones. Pets are allowed with deposit. The staff is generally pleasant and helpful. Mill House Lodge provides reasonably priced, clean, albeit somewhat dated, accommodations for the lovely Hendersonville/Flat Rock area.

Wonderful place to stay and so quiet and clean. Staff was great and was treated special by my fellow “yankee”. 😜 Well worth the stay and relaxation. Whatever you need they hooked you up.

Stayed overnight just for a quick getaway. Rooms are dated but super clean. Staff was very accommodating, laid back. Plenty of outdoor things to do and within minutes of town. Will be staying again.
