Hair On Main

Took my teenage daughter who is very picky and didn't want me to take her to GC no more. She loved her hair cut and was very pleased. Gene was awesome an was communicating every thing he was doing with her hair, which she liked. Will definitely be coming back for future trims.

I come from Maine to see Gene @ Hair on Maine. I plan my haircut for these visits because the haircut is so good! I know no better stylist than Gene from North Carolina to Maine!

Gene is a great stylist. The store front is on Main Street Hendersonville. The prices are very reasonable. I totally recommend this business.

I can’t say enough GREAT things about Gene, the owner of Hair on Main. It was my birthday and I was in need of a blow out and style. With a broken arm, styling my hair is not possible without help. I called in the morning and Gene was able to see me later that day. On top of being one of the kindest and most genuine person, he gave me the best hairstyle. I felt like a movie star. Next time I’m in Hendersonville I will definitely be back. If you live in that area or are visiting, I can’t recommend him enough. Thank you Gene! Can’t wait to see you again.

I highly recommend Gene if you want a truly skilled stylist and wonderful person. I nearly chose another salon (for the decor, imagine that) thankfully they were closing- I read Gene’s reviews and picked him! I love the beautiful precision of my new haircut and may have to make the 12 hour trip every few years just to have this level of expertise! Bravo, Gene! Gene is the first person to cut my hair in many years that i feel actually did a great job. He was super easygoing and really seemed to enjoy cutting my hair. I will definitely continue to have him tend to my hairs! Highly recommend!

My wife and I were in town visiting from the "evil empire state" (aka New York) and ate breakfast at Arabella's. I noticed the barber next door and decided I needed a trim. Not only did I get an excellent haircut, but I met one of the genuinely good people that seem to be everywhere in the quaint town of Hendersonville, NC. He did such a great job that my wife, who just had her hair cut two weeks earlier, asked Gene to add a couple of layers to her hair. We may have been first time out-of-town visitors when we had our hair cut by Gene, but despite the 700- mile distance I have a feeling we will both be back!

Gene is amazing!! I am always so hesitant to let anyone cut my hair because of how many bad experiences I've had, if you have crazy curly hair you know what I'm talking about..but Gene works magic, my hair has never looked so good, he went above and beyond my expectations! My mom liked my haircut so much she went in to get hers cut too not even an hour later:) We HIGHLY recommend Gene at hair on main!

I’m so glad I went to him right off the bat. Hair On Main is one of my best new discoveries here in Hendersonville! I can not say enough about how well my color turned out! The color was so well blended that I actually look like a natural blonde! Most hair stylists I've been to never listen to you when you explain to them what you're looking for & so you are always shocked at the end result! Not with Gene! He paid the utmost attention to my ideas & with his expertise made it happen! My gorgeous new cut & color even came with a deep conditioning treatment which is usually extra at most salons. I am so happy to have finally found a salon that I can call home!!
