Freeburg Pianos

If I could give 10 stars for our experience with Freeburg Pianos, I would! Music and pianos are personal and this family-owned business gets that! Levi listened, didn't pressure, and was not only professional but personal. Sometimes you get one or the other, here you get both!

Our story: My husband grew up with a 1903 Kimball baby grand and we acquired it in the 1980s. While we attached great sentiment to this beautiful piece of furniture, it became less beautiful for playing and listening. We reluctantly decided it was time to let it go.

So, our search began. After some weeks of looking, we stepped into Freeburg's expansive showroom and were immediately greeted warmly by Levi and exposed to many used and new pianos as we looked at and played several. We were educated about pianos in general and in particular, were treated with patience and understanding as we asked questions and were given time to make the final decision.

We eventually placed a deposit on a wonderful Perzina GP-129 5’1" Professional Upright because it was in our set price range even though my husband actually loved the Perzina T-188 Grand. Little did my husband know that I arranged instead to have the grand delivered!

Levi kept the secret well and made a point of being here last week for the “reveal” to share in the moment. That’s the personal touch that I have mentioned! Who does that?

Delivery day came and it would be an understatement to say that John was shocked when he saw the T-188 Grand come off the truck. He told Levi that he had brought the wrong piano! What a "grand" surprise! He has played it for hours while I try to get in some playing time, as well. It truly is a pleasure to play and if we ever have to downsize, we will return to Freeburg and the Perzina upright as our first option. Also, the staff has followed up to schedule a tuning and to answer any questions we’ve had.

Freeburg Pianos provided a rental piano for our state convention!! They were prompt in delivering a beautiful 7'6" grand piano to the convention hotel. We throughly enjoyed hearing the piano played at all of our meetings! They picked up the piano exactly when the hotel needed it out of the room and everyone was pleased with the process. We LOVE this company! We bought our Kawai baby grand from them three years ago. Levi was wonderful to work with from start-to-finish. Since then, we've had multiple tuning appointments and everyone that has come has been great! Keith Freeburg just tuned and cleaned our piano this morning. He is so gracious and respectful of one's home. Freeburg keeps my piano in tip-top shape. I highly recommend them!

Keith has been tuning and servicing my mother’s piano for twenty years. He just recently completed a full rehab of the action of my own Yamaha grand. Recently purchased a pre-owned Perzina piano [2012, T-188] from Freeburg Piano, Hendersonville, NC. In this era of questionable integrity at many social/business levels, the interaction with Freeburg was refreshing. So far as I am concerned, Freeburg, and specifically my contact Levi Freeburg, represented the product honestly and professionally. Moreover, delivery and setup was performed on time and to my satisfaction. The relationship is new, but hopefully will continue with time and needs. Could not ask for more from any business transaction.

My experience buying a new piano, Mason & Hamlin 50, from Freeburg Pianos was perfect. Levi worked with me to acquire the piano of my dreams and to sell my former piano. Mercifully, at no time did he apply "used car salesperson" tactics. He was upfront with his limitations and worked with me on mine. When the costs of shipping my new piano to Texas from North Carolina proved to be prohibitive he arranged for the Freeburg family to deliver it. It was especially impressive that Keith Freeburg, a registered piano technician, provided tuning on arrival! I love my new piano, but I'm grateful for to the Freeburg family for their honesty, integrity and friendship.

I’m so glad I got in touch with Freeburg Piano to move our baby grand to our new home! Clay was great to work with. He met me there in advance so he could check out the entrance and plan for the move. Since we weren’t ready to move it in right away, he arranged to store it for us. The day of the move, he and his team had it securely wrapped and took the utmost of care in ensuring that it was delivered safely. Plus, they were most patient as we requested several adjustments to find just the right spot and able. We will definitely be contacting Freeburg Piano again for all of our future piano related needs!

As we enter our mid-eighties, we have decided to move into an independent living senior village. We needed our piano taken from our old home to our new apartment. The piano, being modern with a very good sound was my wife's Father's and dear to her.
The two young men, Clay and Steffen, who came to do the job on March 4, 2021, were friendly, respectful and very knowledgeable. They certainly knew what they were doing and treated the piano and us very well.
The topper came with the piano in its new place. The one young man, Clay, began playing the piano and it sounded so good.
We were so pleased with Freeburg Piano's service and would recommend them to all.

Freeburg Pianos had a great selection of pianos in my price range to choose from. They have some awesome grand pianos that were fun to look at even though I don't have space for a piano of that size. After I chose my piano it was a simple process to buy the piano and arrange for delivery and tuning.

After many old or electric pianos I decided to buy a good grand.
I looked all over: Atlanta, Charlotte, eBay. I finally found Freeburg was only 30 minutes from me and went to look at their pianos.

Very professional. I received a quote by phone and Freeburg Pianos followed through exactly as indicated. The piano they moved was ~150 years old with non-standard fasteners galore from the prior owners. They navigated through those obstacles and put it back together more properly than it had been in many years. Clay was our lead mover and he was very pleasant. I can't recall the last time I was so impressed by a company from start to finish.

When we recently traded our grand piano for a better one from Freeburg Pianos, the trust we had for the Freeburg family lowered our anxiety considerably, making the purchase much easier. The installation went flawlessly. Our new piano sounds and looks beautiful.

1ST CLASS PIANO EXPERIENCE - FRIENDLY - AT HOME FEEL
I can't stress to everyone enough about the wonderful experience I had with Freeburg Pianos. This is what everyone Hopes & Wishes purchasing a piano is like. I decided to trade in my older Grand Piano of 30yrs for an Older Rebuilt High End Piano (Mason & Hamlin or Steinway).
Well much to my surprise after visiting 3 showrooms the best one is in my own backyard. Only 5 miles away. I was expecting to find maybe one possibility in the bunch, however, the expertise of Keith presented me with a problem of having to choose between SEVERAL well tuned & refurbished Grands. I thought I would be lucky to find one! I found THREE!
From the very beginning 6 months ago - Levi was nothing but truly the BEST, easy going, decent, normal, non-salesman like person I have dealt with, in any sales situation. He is NOTHING like a salesman, he is a FRIEND. I Never Ever felt like he was 'trying to make the sale' - he was helpful with information. And he LISTENED to my wants, my needs, my hopes, my goals and tried to steer me in the right direction, without making me feel pushed.
I purchased a beautiful rebuilt/refurbished Steinway Model A from 1912 - WOW - never thought I would own a Steinway but the Voicing/Action/Tuning that Keith did attracted me to this wonderful lady.

GO TO FREEBURG PIANOS in the Hendersonville, NC area - YOU WON'T BE SORRY. It is well worth the drive if you have to! All the other dealerships made me feel like they were 'selling' me something. Piano buying for many musicians is a very very personal thing. One MUST make a connection to the piano to even consider. Levi understands this and helps you find it, if possible.

June 1st will be my magic day. After 6 months of research, trying about 20 pianos in 4 showrooms. I obviously saved the BEST for Last. Thank You so much LEVI, KEITH & JOANNE.

Have to add: Piano was delivered on June 1st - CLAY and his team are truly 1st Class, great guys. As a 3rd young man was being trained it was fantastic hearing Clay explain in detail what they were doing and why each step was so important. FYI: this is the 7th piano move I have had done and I have never ever seen such a 1st Class, careful move of my OLD Piano as well as the NEW Steinway coming into the house. One can really see they truly CARE about the pianos AND the houses they are moving in and out of.
