Mountain Shadows Resort & Rentals

I've stayed here plenty of times and only had an issue one time, and they fixed it immediately! I've been using mountain shadows for over the last 10 years. I got a cabin there when I got married. Highly recommend.

I had to write a review after seeing so many negatives (although they do say that people are more inclined to leave a bad review than a good one) So here is a good one! The sugar house is where me and my husband decided to say since it was just the two of us. The staff were super nice and they give you directions and coupons for local events in the area! Our cabin was clean and so comfy. Movies provided too. The other cabins around us look really nice too. I would definitely be coming back here and get a bigger cabin with friends and family. (We even seen one with a pool)

My only recommendation to the staff is for the sugar house I particular. PLEASE put a table in the bathroom and outside porch. There is no room to really set anything down in the bathroom. A little end table would be fine. Same goes for the porch where if your cooking - you have a ledge and maybe you could use the top of the hot tub (if you’re not using it) to set down cooking supplies and etc. my husband and I were amazed by the lack of tables in this rental lol.

But other than that I do give this 5 stars and would recommend this highly!

We fell in love with this place!we have been going for 5 years straight this year we will be staying at birds eye view for our 10th anniversary as it is pet friendly and meets all of our needs. The office desk staff are very friendly and helpful ALWAYS!WE will continue to use Mountain Shadows for future vacations!👀👫🏼🐕🐕❤🤟

Stayed in crocketts cabin for our honeymoon. We had an awesome view, the place was up to date, clean. Our hot tub was ready to go. We had such a great time we want to come back next year. The front office staff was super friendly, called us early to let us know our cabin was ready. The cabins are closer together than I thought they'd be, however, they set up privacy walls on the lower deck. Inside you cant hear anything from outside.

I stayed in maples tree cabin this past April and I was very happy! You see pictures on line and wonder what it's going to be like when you get there...and this was way better than I ever expected. The location was ideal for me and my son far enough away from town to feel the serenity of the mountains and close enough that you are there in five minutes(if there is no traffic)!! The cabin was more than I hoped for and the hot tub was the topping on the cake. Pictures don't do justice to the view of the smokies from your two decks, I hope to return very soon, thanks for the wonderful hospitality!!

There are few pictures online, so this place was a pleasant surprise. 1 bedroom cabin has 2 back decks with hot tub and views to die for. Very spacious and clean. Cabins are secluded, but close to town. Staff knowledgeable and accommodating. Super easy check in and checkout. I honestly don't have anything bad to say about this place. Incredible value.

My husband and I stayed in a one room cabin for our honeymoon. We had a great experience. The location was far enough from the main drag to feel like we were in the mountains, but close enough that we were able to get to the restaurants and shops with ease. We loved the garden tub inside and the hot tub and chairs on the deck. Although the cabins are relatively close, they are positioned in a way that allowed for complete privacy. Very clean and nicely decorated.

Perfect location for a summer vacation. My son enjoyed visiting the pool and the location was perfect for us. Close to Food City for groceries and our new favorite steakhouse the Alamo.

My experience with mtn shadows was GREAT from the friendly and helpful people at front desk to the very nice ,clean and cozy cabin. I was very skeptical at 1st because of my ocd girlfriend and reading the bad reviews but at the last minute they was they only ones to have anything left so I went with it. I'm so glad I did. WOW I was shocked at how updated it was and a decent view. The Jacuzzi was took care of ready to go. Very close to town also I mite mention. Me and family had a great time thanks mtn showdown. We will most be staying in your cabins again. :)

Have stayed with this company several times and always clean comfortable Cabins.. The front desk guy is Bobby and if you need anything he is on it immediately.Bobby has suggested everything from places to eat, shows to see ,to the best way out of town and has been spot on every single time... I recommend this place highly... 1st class...

Stunning cabins with stunning Rocky Mountain views!
We were in Gatlinburg for our wedding and honeymoon, our wedding venu booked a 4 night stay for us at Mountain Shadows Resort and let me say when we walked in to that beautiful cabin we were blown away, it totally exceeded our expectations! We can't wait to go back and won't stay anywhere else!

So convenient but private at the same time. We love going back every year!

I got the Smoky mountain dream. Cute quaint quiet little cabin for Honeymooners or just a weekend getaway it's perfect. However when I go anywhere I like to stay at least a week. Chip with reservations totally awesome

We stayed in hunny home and it was very cozy and nice. 90% clean. There were some small maintenance issues but not enough to complain over. Would like to stay here again.

This is our second time renting a cabin through Mountain shadows and we really enjoyed our cabin and the amenities! The views were amazing! And our neighbors were friendly as well!

Place is beautiful, every cabin worth every penny. If u have disabilities I would call ahead to see what they can do but the cabins I have seen inside only a few could be easily accessible.

Just enjoyed a Family Reunion here. The rental cabins are well maintained /accommodating. The front office staff is helpful and professional.. Try it - you'll like it!

Easy online rental (save 10% through their website too!) Had to make some changes and gave them a call...I'll admit I scolded the gentleman for being so easy to work with! lol! Nice stay, great price, beautiful location and just nice people!

Had a wonderful time, enough room for 9ppl and the family dog. Jacuzzi was awesome, it was clean and ready to go when we checked in. Thanks for the memories.

I loved this rental. Although the pool table fell on me and cut my hand as I tried to stop it's fall. lol, great place, well priced. Great for family.
