This place is so much fun! We love the vibes of the restaurant & the energy of the staff is awesome! Everything we have tried has been great! The crawfish queso & the fried pickles were the perfect starters! We enjoyed the fried catfish and the drowning catfish! The bread pudding and margaritas are delicious also!

Bongo Beaux’s is AWESOME!!! The atmosphere is unmatched. The food and beer is stellar. My husband and I sat at the bar and had a great experience with Megan. She is so kind and attentive! The staff and managers welcomed us as soon as we stepped foot into the building. If you are looking for good food and a welcoming atmosphere, this is the place for you!

We recently moved to the area and have been excited to try Bongo Beaux’s. It’s hard to find a good Cajun restaurant that is not a chain. This was some of the best Cajun food I’ve ever had.

The service was outstanding. CJ was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu, able to offer us suggestions as it was our first time. Tabitha came over towards the end of our meal to see how everything went and really took an interest in our conversation and explaining the process of the restaurant.

Even before she told us that everything was made in house you could tell. Everything we ordered was of the highest quality.

We feel like we’ve found a place where we’ll definitely become regulars and we can’t wait to go back and see what else Bongo Beaux’s has to offer.

Tried something new on the square. Very simple menu. Great service. Lots of atmosphere! I like that there is a lot of space between other tables. In the future I would book a table ahead/ make a reservation. It wasn’t as cool being close to the door because it was just a little bit warmer but it’s August in Texas so it’s understandable. For sure will be back!

We always have the best time here! Megan was fantastic and kept the drinks flowing all night. We just moved here from Louisiana and were pleasantly surprised. The flavor was on point!

My husband and I were just driving through town when we spotted this super fun place and just had to stop. The atmosphere and food are incredible. There’s also a great outdoor patio and fenced yard for kids! Our server, Jacob, was super attentive and helpful. Highly highly recommend this delicious authentic Cajun restaurant!!

We freaking love their crawfish. It's a fun place, good service, their food is traditional Cajun and really good (my wife loves their Cajun pasta, I like their gumbo), but their crawfish are outstanding. Get you a Cajun lemonade too. Man we like this place.

Catfish was a little overcooked, but the rest was great. Hush puppies and gumbo were quite good.

This was our first time in Celina and we are so happy we picked this place. Food was delicious, portions very generous. Mitchell was super friendly and helpful. Crawfish queso, Cajun pasta and drowning catfish were our picks and those meals are definitely worth trying!

Fantastic find! Old Town Celina funky spot with best Cajun food I’ve ever had! Including in ‘Nawlins. Wonderful staff too. Vanessa was a fantastic waitress and we were able to learn a lot about the area from Tabatha. What a spot! Great cocktails too, including hurricanes. What friendly people! Our new favorite spot. We are new to TX from DC.

This place is a gem in the heart of Celina. Great place to eat and let the kids burn off some steam in the fenced in area outside on a nice day. The drowning catfish and the bread pudding were the standouts, but everything else we had here was amazing. If you're from Louisiana like us, this is a good little piece of home here in North Texas.

We first went for Cajun Fest and our server was CJ, also known as Bubba. We had a great experience, so I chose to come back for a celebration of my final day as a teacher. When we asked to change tables bc we ordered more food than would fit on a high top, the male hostess (longer hair, didn’t catch his name), told us he would take care of us, and helped us move all our things. Granted, this sounds easy enough, but the restaurant was packed and on a wait. Robert served us. Like Bubba, he sat down with us and took our order, asked us about our day and if we had been here before. He was jovial, and had such a great demeanor, engaging and top tier communication skills. I had to ask him where he learned to be so engaging and reach people’s interest. He said his mom taught him to always look at everyone you’re talking to, so they know you are talking directly to them. I didn’t ask Bubba or the host about their background, as it seems that each has their own signature charisma, but all have what must be a hiring trait for Bongo Beaux’s - the ability to draw people in and make you feel like your friend just arrived to sit down with you.

The food? You’ll drool for the Breaux Bread…never had anything like it. Add the bacon; you won’t regret it!

The atmosphere? There’s nothing like it in North Texas…authentically Cajun. The bathroom is eclectic with countless wallpapers and art. The also have tons of outdoor seating and an outdoor gated mini field for kids to run around on, though I imagine it’s likely a place where they usually have mini outdoor live music events.

We will be back again.

I literally have nothing bad to say about my experience. When I came here I asked about the Crawfish boil, but I was a week or two too early for the season. I definitely recommend this place if you are passing through Celina, it is a great laid back atmosphere. The food was high quality and was very tasty.

I usually have a 25 people reservation at this place. I have been here twice attended by Meghan. This place and service is amazing. She has been our server each time and it is increadible how she can take care of such a huge amount of people in a excellent way. All the others servers are amazing too. The food is just the exact great traditional Louisiana food. The drinks are well prepared and they have a lot of variety to offer. The kids love this place because they can be outside playing in a secured, fence back yard. So everybody, both adults and kids have a great overall experience. This has become our family place for celebrations, totally recommended!!!
