D&L Farm and Home - McKinney

Great, locally owned feed store! They've got locations between McKinney and Aubrey and Denton. Solid feed store with rabbits, baby chicks, a variety of tack livestock supplies as well as higher end pet foods. Super nice staff and very dog friendly.

They have all kinds of food & treats for dogs & lots of other pets & livestock! They also have a grooming starting that rocks!

Called a week ago for a custom feed order. I prefer texas natural feed elite, for my poultry operation of exotic pea fowl. They have always had their shipments in at a timely manner, I picked my feed up saturday.They had my order pulled and ready to go. While I was in the store I noticed a new varity of farm and hobby farm feed and equipment superior quality than at my local tsc. They had a nice up scale selection of small animal, horse, pets, and poltury feed medication and supplements. They also had a fine selection of texas based products including lotion, beef and nick naks. They work with the local farmers and community in mckinney to have quality products. We have been using this store for a year and have been satisfied with the choice of poltury and small animals they sell at the store. We were so happy with the store that we drive 800 miles to get their selection of feed. (Here is our turkey we got from them july 2020)

A great place to get your livestock or pet supplies. The staff are super friendly and helpful and they have a large range to select from.

We live in Richardson and drove here to begin our chicky chick family. We got the little chicks back in May of 2020 and they are as healthy as they can be...knock on wood.
We drive here for straw.
They are always patient to answer the obvious question and never treat you like you are stupid .
Truly, I love this place. I sure wish they were a tad bit closer, but worth the drive for us!!

Value and Customer Service is why these guys get my business. My wife and I have 4 horses and other animals we need supplies for. The reason we come here is because they have a great selection but the biggest reason is the customer service and care they give you. Sure you could probably go somewhere else and get it cheaper, but you won’t get the 10 star customer care that these guys bring to the table. Highly recommended! Thank y’all for always being awesome from loading our feed and delivering it to the ranch, to answering and questions we have whenever we come in. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Loyal customer for several years. The staff is knowledgeable and always willing to help. They keep a great selection of feed and other products in and if they don't have what you're looking for, they can usually help you get that too. They will order in products for you if needed or help you find a comparable or better product to fit your needs. Their extended hours are great and it's nice to be able to take my pets (dog, goat, etc.) with me, very animal friendly.

We go here frequently and my son loves to chat it up with the ladies behind the counter about their birds, rabbits, and baby chicks. They are always so polite and answer all of his questions. The ladies always greet us and offer help finding anything. Great business and great service.

Friendly service. Great stock selection. Just ask and they staff will be more than willing to help you out and answer questions. We buy our horse needs and dog needs here. They'll always have my business!

If you have a bunny you know how no where ever sells product for them it's a struggle . But d&l got it all and on the cheap Amazon sells it 20$ a pop here is the price it should be max a paid for my bunny item was 10$

My favorite place to get feed and chicks. The staff is very friendly, helpful and extremely knowledgeable. I wanted a Turkey and wasnt quite sure what kind. The staff advised me based on what I wanted to do with it. Also picked up some guineas. Highly recommend this business. Great job. I'll be back many times

If you need a local feed store, D & L is the place to go and has everything you could need for your ranch, farm, or just your home down the block! We tried the local tractor supply but D & L beats them hands down! You will love the atmosphere and the staff!

Great people and willing to help everyone. We only have 5 chickens but they help us out with any questions just like a big farmer. Prices are very fair and a good selection of everything. Great selection of Hay and Straw for bedding needs....

I purchased my first chicks ever here. We bought 8 straight runs in the middle of April.

3 Silkies (white, black, partridge)

2 Blue Laced Red Wyandottes

3 (Can’t remember breed, but think one is a Leghorn and one might be a Splash Orpington, Other is white with specks of black around collar and tail feathers end in black)

They are almost 3 months now and all appear to be pullets, except for one rooster.

Our White Silkie is a cockerel.

I have ordered 2 more Blue Laced Red Wyandottes, because I adore their markings and their demeanor. Although, I must admit, I kinda love them all now.

The staff here is excellent and were extremely patient while curbside, dwindling stock, increase in employee duties and one on one social distancing.

Their excellence in customer service is what businesses strive for.

The personal time spent educating me on everything I needed to start out was invaluable and saved me hours of research.

A lot of companies just don’t have the time, so I am even more grateful that their employees have all been so patient, knowledgeable, and willing to help - beyond a sale.

They will have me and my family as customers for my life.
