Simone Bruemmer, DO

Absolutely great care, she’s attentive and engaging with me and my wife. I feel she not only listens to my concerns but also is proactive in my health care and risks. I’m a severe diabetic and amputee that under her care has been able to turn my unmanageable disease into a manageable one. My wife’s a nurse and is very confident in the care I am receiving. You would have to be a very difficult person not to see the great care you receive under her.

Dr Bruemmer has been amazing for my family and I. She is patient & kind with my children; I have an autistic child, she can get him to talk to her, no doctor before has been as patient. Her staff is unbelievable! Gwen, the Medical Assistant, is always smiling & friendly. Her receptionist, also Gwen (different Gwen), is always amazing!

I won't take my kids or myself anywhere else. Dr. Bruemmer and staff are absolutely wonderful!

Excellent Dr. She has been my primary care provider for a few years now. Very knowledgeable and is very interested in your medical well-being

On several occasions they have failed to communicate via my chart and or over the phone . The only answer I get is usually go to the emergency room that is if they respond at all

I have tried for about two years to 'like' Simone Bruemmer, but she continues to be dismissive and condescending. I have been around physicians for decades and have never seen a doctor that treats patients as she does. I am highly educated and at the last few visits I have even brought my spouse with me to witness or hopefully deter Bruemmer from her dismissive attitude. It didn't work...she treated my spouse the same way. I have had several medications that are required for my ongoing health, which she has just arbitrarily denied without explanation - just will no longer refill and it's alarming. I am very tired of being stressed out when I know I have to deal with her as she is so overbearing. I am going to see if I can return to my former physician who moved 1 1/2 hours away rather than see this doctor again. She is a lawsuit waiting to happen.

If I could give negative stars I would. we brought our son to this doctor when he was born. he was tongue tied and we needed a referral to get it fixed. he also had GERD. we worked with her for 2 months and he was gaining weight but VERY slowly even after his tongue was clipped. we mentioned tons of times how he kept throwing up any milk he did get and she downright ignored our concerns saying the kids in Africa are still alive and are starving so he will be fine.
so we got his tongue clipped and followed up with the specialist that did it and she said he still had a small tie but it required surgery and he would be fine without getting it done because surgery is super risky on a 2 month old.
we took our son back to simone and told her what the specialist had said. she says she thinks we should do it and I said I would get another opinion and see what they said before making a decision that big. she also insulted us saying we should know how to raise a kid right seeing as were not first time parents (even though he wouldn't keep any milk down she blamed us for him not gaining weight).
she also diagnosed him with failure to thrive but failed to even tell us or do anything about it. she just sent us on our way.
she called me the next day and literally harassed me saying if I didn't get my son the surgery (which had a death rate of 40% with his age) he would die no matter what. I told her I had an appointment for a 2nd opinion (when I actually had 4 other doctors lined up for their opinions to prove to her he didn't need it like the specialist she referred us to said) and we would discuss it once we saw them. She said to me that she needs to know right then if they said he needed it if we would for sure do it. I said well of course we would consider it but I don't make medical decisions for our kids without talking to my husband first so we would discuss it and if they said he needed it we probably would do it.
I didn't like how she was acting on the phone call so we took it upon ourselves to transfer his care to grace health. I had an appointment scheduled for the next day to address the failure to thrive (which she refused to treat). I come home from the appointment with the new doctor (and she knew his care was being transferred as I requested a transfer of records) to find a cps card on our door.
his new doctor at grace health was APPUALED by simones lack of care towards the failure to thrive and got us doing fortified formula to help him gain. she said that simone should've done that right away before jumping to surgery. she also gave him some reflux medicine and lo and behold he could keep the milk down.
so back to cps. she called them and I KNOW it was her because the report was "parents of infant with failure to thrive denying life threatening surgery"
I had 2 specialists, 3 lactation consultants, 2 doctors at grace health, and an occupational therapist all backing us saying the surgery was not needed and she is a terrible doctor and person for doing this to a family who was trying so hard to help their infant gain weight.
we went to so many appointments trying to get it under control but she refused to do anything that he really needed.
she also violated HIPAA rights (ive been trained in HIPAA, I used to be a certified nursing assistant) by requesting his records while not even having him in her care as her patient. she has been reported for her violation too.
cps followed up with his new doctor and agreed his old doctor was not doing her job and that she shouldn't have even reported us and he felt bad for putting us through all of that when weve been through so much already.
guess what? grace health helped my son overcome his failure to thrive in a month and hes thriving and still alive today (which simone said he would be dead by now).
don't trust this doctor. don't let her near your children.
also she told me to let my 1 month old cry for 10 minutes before I even attempt to pick him up. shes not supposed to give parenting advice. I asked her if she had kids and she said no. she knows nothing about children.
