such a cute family owned restaurant! our waitress was extremely sweet, and there were so many options on the menu. the lunch and dinner specials are delicious and affordable.

Great tasting and huge portions for at a good price . Food was hot and fresh.
The place is old but clean. Staff was awesome.
I'll definitely eat here again.

Loved the old wood front doors. Don't let the older building or aged interior fool you. I look for places like this where the effort is put into great tasting authentic food. We ordered both hot & sour and wonton soup. The hot and sour soup had a vibrant taste and texture. Both were piping hot with fresh flavor, as well as the egg rolls and cream cheese wontons. We had the China Star lo-mein and hunan chicken. The meat and sauce tasted great, and the vegetables were very fresh. Great flavor combos in each entree. We will go again! And, I'm sure future delivery orders too!

I discovered this place after my wife's flight into Duluth was delayed several hours.
The China Star is a true restaurant, not a buffet. The food is always very tasty, the waitresses very menu knowledgeable, helpful and courteous. The owner is so very kind.
Oh, did I mention that the food is fantastic and the portions are more than enough. I often manage to bring some home to enjoy later. The prices are also great.
I brought my wife there the next time we were in town. She also enjoyed the food and service. We dine there almost every time we go to Duluth.

Our waitress was great. She was very friendly and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. The food was out fast, and it tasted amazing.

It had been a long time since we were here last. I wanted Chinese but not a buffet. We got right in and was very well taken care of. Our food came quickly and hot. The food was great. Of course we took home the leftovers to enjoy for another meal. We will definitely come back again.

Loved it! Ordered low salt and got low salt! The flavor was amazing. We ordered curry and spicy fried rice and all was awesome!

Always have a great meal here. The egg rolls and cream cheese wontons are the BEST around. Service is super fast, and the staff is always so friendly. We actually travel 60 miles from up north to get decent Chinese and this is usually our favorite spot.

Don’t be quick to judge this hole in the wall restaurant. It’s not always about the looks of the building! Some of the most out dated restaurants have the best food! They put their efforts into the quality of their food and that’s what I love. I get pick up here very often and the pickup is very quick, ready in 10 min and FRESH. I always get the sweet and sour chicken with fried rice and cream cheese wontons. They have some of the best fried rice I’ve had. Very friendly staff who I enjoy seeing!

I love the China Star! It's my go-to for a quick, tasty meal. We usually order in on Sunday nights and it's always a hit with my family. I especially like the chicken and broccoli and the China Star egg rolls are amazing! They are close to my home, delivery is great and the staff is so, so nice!

Our first time there. The food was amazing and watching your one waitress move around so gracefully waiting on a full house was incredible. She’s a keeper.

Went to this place for the first time last night and it was excellent. Shrimp Egg Foo Young was perfect as was the Honey Chicken. Very tasty and not salty. Great service. The hot tea was great too! We will be back!
