Excellent fresh seafood with outdoor setting and a fun atmosphere.
The best tacos - they are delicious, and so are the loaded fries. There’s a reason why so many locals and your guides recommend visiting this place!
Queues can be long during lunchtime but it’s worth the wait. If you want to avoid queuing then mid afternoon is best as there’s no queue but still a nice atmosphere.
Perfect spot to enjoy excellent local food and beers in a fun outdoor environment.
Tables have umbrellas for shelter from the sun & rain , and are available in a first come first serve basis. You order at the kiosk counter and they will then bring the food to your table.

Fun environment with their large patio. Tasty halibut tacos! I recommend getting the spicy tacos versus the mild. It’s not that spicy at all and the sauce is better compared to the mild. Service was fast for how busy they seemed to be. Got our tacos in about 15 minutes. There’s also a stall to get oysters and champagne! Worth the stop for lunch or dinner if you’re in Juneau.

Very cute outdoor food hall. Very authentic and homely feel. Absolutely the best oysters I’ve had hands-down in my life! They are experts at shocking, and recommending the champagne with the oysters of your choosing.

You will notice no low star reviews here! Why is that?! Because it is simply delicious! Love fish and chips, salmon tots? What are salmon tots you ask? It's like fried salmon in a tot, 0 potatoes lol. So good. Thanks for a great start to our Juneau trip

My husband and I just returned from an Alaskan cruise. One of our stops was Juneau. After walking around town, we decided not to go back to the ship for dinner. My husband had seen awesome reviews for Deckhand Dave’s, so we tried it! Best dinner of our vacation! We had three shrimp tacos and a rockfish taco! Delicious! It was raining, but the atmosphere was so charming! The young man who waited on us was polite, honest and friendly! The beer booth was an added plus too! It was a great way to end our day! Yum!

Deckhand Dave’s was a great spot in Juneau to sit outside and have oysters and drinks. The outdoor fire was also a big bonus and kept us warm while we dined. I highly recommend this outdoor eating area and Deckhand Daves for food/drinks! They also sell nice mugs and merchandise, which are great for saving the memory!

This is an awesome place. It is a takeout establishment with a central courtyard to hang out and eat with a few other vendors sharing the area. It is a great idea and pretty fun. The halibut and rockfish tacos were amazing! I couldn't stop eating them. I will definitely be back for more.

Oh my God, this place has great food and cool ambiance. We had halibut tacos, stone fish over fries and local oysters. So delicious! Best restaurant in Juneau!

Excellent fish tacos, got the sampler with salmon, rockfish and halibut. And the salmon and chips were tasty, first time I've ever had basically a salmon fish stick!

Yes!! Go!! I've heard good things about the food and I had to try this place out. I ordered the halibut cakes and they were amazing. A great place to see locals and tourists alike. They also share space with another small restaurant specializing in crepes and coffee. It's great because it feels like a lil food court that offers options to families and bigger groups.
Adult beverages and sodas are served separately in detached stations and it feels quite festive and creative.

Another fabulous lunch at Deckhand Dave’s! We live in Juneau and this is always our first choice for a lunch date. Exceptional service from ordering to taco delivery. Great ambiance and mix of tourists and locals. The salmon, halibut, and rock fish tacos today were as delicious as our last visit. Thanks Dave your extra effort for excellence and phenomenal staff are greatly appreciated!!! Tip for others, don’t pass on the beer or oysters!

Stopped in for an afternoon bite after hiking. Had the taco sampler from the window. You get a number and then they’ll deliver to your table. The rock cos and halibut tacos were our favorite. Salmon taco was good.

Then saw they had an oyster and champagne bar so split three oysters with a spicy side sauce and a class of sparkling cava. This was awesome.

When you see a line to order, it is a good sign. The rating were totally correct. The food was fresh and the halibut fish n chips were cooked to order. It is a little bit of a walk from the ship. But just look at it as working up an appetite. Highly recommend.

We came across this gem! This place has quite the vibe with their outdoor seating, firepits, friendly staff, and the food is just absolutely fantastic! We tried the rockfish n chips and halibut cakes. I definitely will be returning for more on my next visit to Juneau! Absolutely a must try!! 👌

These were possibly the best tacos we’ve ever had! They were relatively busy but they came out pretty fast. There’s also a decent draft menu.

Our order:
3x blackened rockfish tacos; salmon tots (basically hush puppies with salmon mixed in); 3 fish sampler

We had the Rockfish & Chips and Salmon & Chips and each ate half. Both types of fish and the fries were delicious!
The salmon was coated in Panko crumbs, the Rockfish was more of a traditional fish and chips batter.
This is a food truck, but there are tables you can sit at and have your food delivered to you. There is also a bar area to get beverages. A lot of them are from Alaska based companies.
Great value for the money! I'd definitely eat here again.

So glad I was able to find this place as I love my crepes while in Juneau (been eating crepes each time I was in Juneau few years ago but they have moved to another location downtown and I didn't know until recently so since I found out about the new location, it's so much better now as you have more options at one location, so hard to choose now as they're all great). Absolutely perfect place, well designed, great atmosphere, great food and drink selection, simply perfect place to eat well, drink well and spend good quality time while in Juneau, Alaska. Love it, 5 stars (crepes with Nutella are still my favorite), thank you Juneau people!

Definitely some of the best fish tacos in town. Pricey but worth it. Skip the rockfish, get the halibut tacos. Deckhand Dave's is a trailer, with no indoor seating. You can easily find outdoor seating at a variety of wooden tables while listening to some edgy music and taking in the Juneau scenery. My wife and I shared a taco sampler, but in retrospect, I wish I'd gotten 3 halibut tacos for myself. Lines were short. Atmosphere was perfect.

The trio of fish tacos is the way to go. Halibut, Rock Fish, and Salmon. Perfectly cooked and delivered right to your table.

The venue is great and even when it's raining there is cover and plenty of heat lamps.

Don't forget to grab a local beer while you're there!

We ordered the fish taco sampler and the salmon tots. My husband, who never eats salmon, really liked the salmon tots. The tartar sauce is bomb! We loved all of the tacos. My favorites were the fried halibut taco and the breaded salmon taco.
