This is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been to. If you are in Juneau I highly recommend this be a place to visit. You only need about an hour, so you can do other events in town as well. If you kiss out on this place, you didn't experience Juneau.

This wonderful place was fascinating and beautiful!!! It's a paradise with a way up to at least least 600ft above the sea. Beautiful gardens and ponds. Worth all your time.

This little gem is small but well worth the few minutes to drive out. For a few bucks you can get a tour. Amazing.

Heard this was a special place to visit. We agree. The owner bought, built, and continues to care and nurture this habitat. So glad we visited. On the visit one gets a one hour guided tour by golf cart up the mountain and back down to the starting point. Our tour guide Avery was fantastic. Highly recommend it.

Loved this place. This is privately owned by a gentleman named Steve. He and his wife bought this property years ago after a mud slide on the property that wiped out an old farm on the foot hill of the property! He bought an excavator and proceeded to completely renovate the property! You can see the pride he and his deceased wife have and had in the creative landscape. Take note of the upside down trees used as planters. We were taken 600 ft up the mountain by covered recreational vehicles up the roads created by the use of the excavator and crews. The sites at the top gives the most amazing views of the island. The tour guide was was passionate about the gardens as he explained the history. I highly recommend this place for the views and the history and the transformation of this property!

Fascinating place to visit. Narrated tram ride, about 30 minutes, goes up a trail about 600 feet. Beautiful sights everywhere. Tour ends with time in greenhouse. Highly recommend

What a stunning experience. The knowledgeable staff provided engaging stories about how the gardens came to be. It is so clear they love each leaf and flower of this remarkable forest.
It's a great way to see the Tongass Rainforest in comfort, and get a great view of Juneau.

I rented a car so I could do 3 excursions in Juneau as I would not have time to see all of them if I did not and this was one of the places I went. I was not disappointed. People had negative things to say about not being able to take pictures outside without paying for admissions but that is understandable if you could take the picture and not go in you would and how could they maintain the beauty of this property? They should have a booth right outside to stop all of that. I also heard the best part is in the entrance and that was clearly said by a hater (person who paid admission only because they wanted to keep the photos they took without pying admission) or someone who had not been here. You get a guided tour in a golf cart and go up about 600 feet in elevation and get a phenomenal view while learning the history of this place. You also see tons of local fruit like salmon berries, blue berries and huckleberries. Ilias was our guide and he was very knowledgeable and gave us tons of local perspective on juneau and the garden.

The Glacier Gardens was the most beautiful, tranquil and amazing little spot to visit. The owner, Steven was such a nice man ... he surly has an awesome eye for plants and the upside-down flowering trees. This botanical garden oasis is located within the Tongass National Forest and in my opinion is a MUST SEE while in Juneau, AK!

We live in Juneau (very close to this) and did this tour for my husband’s birthday and it was absolutely beautiful. None of the people in our party of 8 had been on the tour before (typical Juneauite problem of not enjoying your own town!), and we all had a great time. Our driver was knowledgeable and put up with our silly group. The view at the top is worth it and the upside down trees are hands-down a unique treat for the eyes.

Pleasantly surprised by this amazing tour. We really weren’t sure what to expect, but this is one of the coolest tours. All the land scape and the beauty of Alaska in this tour.
Russell does an amazing job. Felt pretty lucky to get him as our tour guide.

Very fun experience. By far the best experience I’ve had at a botanical garden. Our guide was great and very knowledgeable. Our group boarded a large vehicle designed for viewing the rainforest and we ascended to the top of the mountain, weaving through the private grounds of the gardens and bordering on the Tongass national rainforest. Beautiful view on top of Juneau, Douglas and admiralty in the distance. Definitely recommend. Definitely worth the money.
