Stopped in for lunch and snacks, they have a really nice selection. I had the most incredible slice of blueberry cheesecake from here!

Surprising store, amazing gluten free selection, friendly staff, prices comparable to the lower 50

Wonderful community grocery store! Delicious homemade food in the salad bar. Also, the store is stocked full of organic and natural foods! Appears to be on top of a church, which threw us for a loop, but it was worth the trip! The homemade broccoli soup was stellar!

Rainbow Food has been a game-changer in my health journey. I've lost 50-60 lbs since January, and a big credit goes to their diverse offerings. Prices are reasonable, with a few fancy exceptions. BYO bottle for oil and and let them weigh it and save while getting the fancy oil. Bring a jar and buy spices by the ounce to save there too. The occasional North Douglas chocolate cake is transcendent, and they offer tasty, healthy snacks like dried mango. The fresh bread beats frozen alternatives barged in any day. Highly recommend!

Nice food co-op, with community feel. Has bulk bins and a focus on healthy, organic food. We even found sunscreen here (though not any mainstream commercial brands). Rainbow foods is a few extra blocks past city center, but if you need some grocery items, this is the place. Prices are somewhat high because it's in Alaska, but this store probably has most food items you might need. Compare with a local version of Sprouts.

I'm in heaven. Fresh pastry, cheap tea, and friendly folks.

It is always a special treat for me to visit this store whenever I am downtown. It's like a mini version of whole foods or Sprouts. I love buying Farro in bulk and they have a pretty good selection of other bulk grains, nuts and other goodies. They have a small selection of prepared food such as salads and even veggie burgers. Check out their cheese selections while you are there. They have hard to find cheeses like St. Andre and Mt. Tam. Also, great place to find hygiene products that are clean, no chemicals. The staff is always pleasant. Go check it out.

I love rainbow foods, it's truly a unique store in Juneau that tries it's best to offer high-quality, organic food at a reasonable price. It can't always hit the 'affordable' goal, but I see that it tries, and I deeply appreciate it.

However, I'm really here to sing the praises for the baker of Rainbow Foods. Her scones are amazing, if the raspberry scones are there- I'm there. Instant buy. All her baked goods are unbelievably good. If she also makes the deli food- those are baller as well.

Whatever she's paid- she deserves a raise. I'm a loyalist to her scones and a permanent customer because of it.

I come to Alaska almost every year and Rainbow foods is ALWAYS on my list to visit after or before a hike.
They have a great selection of the cleanest, most valuable food choices out there, as far as groceries go. You know how some of us only use the “organic” and “natural” isle in a supermarket? Rainbow foods is entirely like that!!!
And they make these fabulous fresh daily breads and sandwiches, soup and other little homemade things. Which unsurprisingly are gone by noon because they are so good!
I always make a meal from there and sometimes I top it up with a nice kombucha or goat kefir.
I’m telling you - Juneau will always be Rainbow foods before and after my hikes.
That’s where I find taste and valuable nutrition to support my training and health!
Oh, and they have fresh veggies too. And chocolate! And nuts and cereals! … here I go again! I can spend a few hours there reading labels:)

Fairly large health food store. Delicious organic food. Nice selection of locally grown and imported products. Bulk items include lose leaf tea, wild rice, olive oil, and other wonderful things. Great variety of prepared foods for an early lunch (not Sundays!) including vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free choices. Lots of friendly faces. Free parking. Very popular with locals (but even if you are just visiting Juneau, come check it out!). If they don't carry a product you like, they will gladly order it for you. Best Church in town😉!

I adore this store! It has a soul all of its own. Really good food!! Kind staff, fair prices, great location, tight parking but I always seem to find a spot. I go out of my way to support them!

Our favorite Juneau grocery: local breads, soups and other baked goods, many healthy grocery and apothecary choices, a few small tables inside but no table service.

The absolute cutest grocery store I've ever seen. They source SO much fresh produce and products sustainably. They also had a surprising amount of gluten free products available!

Great bulk bin selection, they stock great freshly baked bread from just down the road, and have a whole section featuring Alaska-grown/produced foods near the entrance. While the lunch buffet is pricey, the cost of food in Alaska in general is pricey. The staff are very friendly and they will try to stock products if you make a special request. Be sure to check out their reduced price items in the refrigerated section for some surprise deals!

I like this store. Competitive prices. How often can you say that about a health food store? Staff are friendly and some prices are lower than same items at IGA.

Rainbow Foods is a favorite amongst neighbors and downtown employees alike for healthy local foods. Once the pandemic passes, the reinstallation of the hot bar would be famously appreciated. Please and thank you.

Good variety of health foods and supplements. Friendly staff. I enjoy the ever-changing offerings in the grab n go. And the drip coffee is good, too!

Amazing everything. Stock, people, prices, sales, they're kid friendly, they have coffee and lunches/snacks, never had a bad time.
