Nice staff, GREAT coffee - love the Mint Mojito, hot or cold! So many other unique coffee drinks and flavors you won’t find at Blue Bottle, Peet’s or Starbucks:)
Nice big space & conveniently located next to Safeway with a large parking lot!

This should be the golden standard of Philz coffee. I’ve visited just about every Philz location in the Bay Area and this is absolutely my favorite. The baristas here get my drink order right every single time without fail.

I’ve been coming here since college for years and it hasn’t let down yet. The location is perfect, in the heart of Rockridge, and the area is very lively so grab a coffee and explore.

Great coffee shop with good coffee selections! Tried their ice mint mojito and I definitely recommend to give it a try. Their pork sausage egg burrito was good, it has a very subtle spice to it that definitely makes it better even without hot sauce! If you need a quick coffe and bite this coffee shop is definitely worth checking out!

They make the drinks so good here. Baristas are really good.

Philz coffee is the best. The pour over flavors combined with the creaminess of their drinks is superb.

Best coffee spot all around. I tried their valentine special and to me it was similar to a Minto Mojito but with strawberry instead of mint. Interesting combination.

Omg this place is heavenly! The coffee took me on a vacation! I had the mojito with mint leaves the second time around and it was really like taking a mini tropical trip out of this country!

What's not to love? Consistently good coffee, lots of variety in terms of roasts and flavors. Nice neighborhood to walk around and explore while having coffee. If you like a pour over style coffee, this is the place to go.

Not bird friendly though.. bird spikes everywhere. Not sure how I feel about that. No bird poop.. but no birds either. Maybe we could have a bird feeder in an easier to clean area?

I love it here! The coffee is great and the staff is always so friendly, no matter who is working and at what time.

I love to go to this Philz’s. Staffs are super friendly and knowledgeable. They looked happy to work there, and spend time to explain customers for their best cup of coffee experience.
The truth is, IT IS the best cup of coffee experience.
It still surprises me whenever have the first sip of coffee. That’s pretty crazy.

Philz is unlike any other coffee place you'll go to. Don't be like me and walk in not knowing this and ask for an Americano -- they don't do that here. What they DO do however is make excellent and flavorful coffee by the cup. Always fresh and something for everyone. Highly recommend.

Delicious coffee! I like the atmosphere in there. Great places to sit inside and out. Solid selection. And if you wanna just walk around after the coffee, it's the perfect street. Street parking can be found nearby though not always a big selection. Great A/C when it's hot out.

Outstanding service at this location. Clean and bright, the shop is cozy and welcoming. The music playlist in the morning is ideal. This is a fantastic coffee shop in a great location.

Fantastic, but crazy busy! Lots of seating and plentiful outlets for charging. Food took a looong time to come out (PB, jam toast), but coffee turnout rate is typical for Philz, not too bad. Very good baristas, perfect sweet and creamy coffees! Coffee selection is fantastic, personal recommendations being the iced mint and iced rose. Lots of natural lighting from windows and there is a restroom available.

First time visitor, the coffee was very flavorful. Such a great change from Starbucks. The person at the register didn't seem to care to interact or anything but the person handing off the drink seems personable and cheerful.

I tried the mint mojito and their honey latte. Both amazing. The mint mojito was cold and refreshing. The latte was like a warm hug. I had very little honey in order to truly taste their coffee and I was not disappointed. Their coffee is bold and smooth.

I've become a huge fan of oat milk in my coffees. I'm not lactose intolerant or vegan, I just prefer the taste and how it blends so well with the flavor of coffee. If you haven't tried oatmilk in your coffee, I recommend trying it. I'd love to know what you think once you've tried it.

After reading some reviews, I must have timed it PERFECTLY because there was NO line to order when I arrived in the middle of the day. Waited maybe 10 mins to get my drink, but the atmosphere was so lively outside with people happily chatting and fun music playing I did not mind it one bit.

The best coffee you could aver buy. Worth every penny. Nice staff. I usually order a decaf with a croissant or a banana bread

Philz is always delicious and a wonderful place to relax and enjoy a hipster coffee shop vibe. This particular coffee shop has indoor and outdoor seating available making it the perfect place for anything meetings, studying, or just people watching! Each cup of coffee is made to order and precisely the way you want it. Try the Mint Mojito! You will not be disappointed.
