CIRCA at Clarendon

We were a party of 5. We had appetizers to split (3), adult beverages each (x2), entrées for each member of the party, and two desserts to split. Our check was $280 for the party of 5, pretax and tip.

The food was outstanding. For appetizers, we had shotgun shrimp (about 5 shrimp in the order), which was fantastic, and two loaves of pretzel loaf (about 6 pieces per loaf). The shrimp was the perfect amount of spicy, crispy, with jalapeños, onions, and other vegetables. The pretzel loaf was crisp on the outside, warm and hot on the inside with a nice mustard butter spread.

All entrées were wonderful. Jambalaya, trout, salmon, salmon salad, and steak frites cooked just right.

Our server, Will, was great. He was the perfect mix of attentive and aloof. He was there when you needed him but not intrusive. Friendly, knowledgeable, and very accommodating. I will request his section when I return.

I highly recommend the apple pie with cinnamon ice cream for dessert.

Circa was a great experience. It was a wonderful birthday celebration in a business casual environment, with fantastic food, service, and relaxing surroundings.

First time here and just walking up to the restaurant I knew it was going to be good! Very cool atmosphere and friendly staff. Even on a Saturday night during prime dinner hours, the service was so quick we were blown away. My dinner companion remarked “these might be the best Brussels I ever had” on the first bite of our app, so 10/10 recommend those and the shotgun shrimp to start. I ordered the steak frites, which I was a tad disappointed in the steak. I also ate half of the grilled chicken sandwich which was delicious. Overall a great dining experience and will certainly return

Great location, great atmosphere, great food. We came during restaurant week and tried the $45 and $55 menu, and both were amazing. Especially the braised short-rib and Thai shrimp salad.

It is expensive, but you are paying for quality.

We had a great meal at CIRCA today! We had been to the Foggy Bottom location a few years ago, and saw this location on our way to the metro. We stopped in for a late lunch and the service was prompt and friendly. The spinach salad was wonderful and the waitress double-checked if I wanted a protein on it, which was great since I had forgotten to ask for chicken. My husband’s chicken sandwich was also delicious. We were both pleased with how perfectly the chicken was cooked. We will be back!

On my last night visiting DC, a friend who lives in town invited me to this place in Clarendon. Our server Jackie was very outgoing and helpful. I ordered the steak frites and it was great. Loved the fries! My friend ordered the 4 cheese flat bread and he said it was awesome. The place has a cool vibe. Great food and service! Definitely recommend.

Great place with friendly staff. Their Thai shrimp salad is always a win. Definitely a good date night place. Medium tier in price ranges

Great service, good location, good vibe( outside) and decent-tasty food!! Will be back to try other dishes! Serving team were very polite and hard working and this 5- star good to the host who tried to do everything ( take the dishes, clean table, assign table..) to make sure you won’t wait long for a table! Went in after laying wreaths at Arlington. They didn't have a wait and service was incredibly quick. Server was friendly and informative. Great brunch menu didn't get cocktails but coffee and cappuccino was great as well. Kids menu was good and the kid ate it up quick. The chicken Benedict was a little soggy but still good. Breakfast sandwich and American breakfast was awesome as well.

Food was delicious with substantial portion sizes. I had the hummus and the veggie burger. The hummus was served with carrots, cucumber slices and a generous portion of pita bread. The bread was excellent. Light and fluffy. The hummus was great. I loved that it had feta cheese sprinkled on top and shredded olives. These made the hummus exceptionally flavorful. The veggie burger was huge! Both the patty itself and the whole sandwich with all the good stuff on it. I had to use a knife and fork to consume it, it was too big to hold easily lol. The veggie patty was one of the better ones I've had. It had black beans and quinoa among other ingredients. I love that the burger included a slice of avocado. I'm a big fan of avocado on veggie burgers.

The service was excellent. Our server was very friendly and professional. The food was ready in a reasonable amount of time. We were there at around 4pm on a Sunday and the restaurant was mostly empty which was nice. Parking was okay for Arlington. There are two or three public parking garages within a couple blocks of the restaurant, including one right across the street.

Just a great vibe. Góod food and service. Great location.

Amazing service, food and drinks! We came without a reservation for a party of 4 and they were completely booked. As we were about to leave to try somewhere else, the manager Sarah chased us down out the door to tell us they were trying to make room for us and they did! We were able to taste test the wine before ordering a bottle and the entreés were just right. Highly recommend the bread pudding for dessert!

The restaurant was a bit crowded, for a Tuesday night. It is usually pretty busy though. The fall menu was absolutely fantastic. I went with a group of friends and eat of us loved everything we had ordered. The pumpkin ravioli were especially good. Drinks were great as well. Service was also very good.

I have been to the Foggy Bottom location many times and love it. This location is great as well. We def will return. I gave the food a 4.9 because the chicken tortilla soup was too spicy. The shrimp salad was delicious. My friend had a chicken dish that she really liked. I hope they still have the short ribs on the menu. It is outstanding.

I went to Circa for dinner, it had a great ambiance with tasty foods. I had shotgun shrimp and burger which were fabulous. I believe it is a great place for either dates or date nights.

Great place. Second time here and loved the food and the service, which was spectacular both times. This time only had drinks and appetizers. The brussels sprouts were soooo good! I definitely recommend this place.

So I’ve heard of CIRCA and their multiple locations. Been in the are for about a year now and finally we took the chance to try them out. To our biggest surprise we were very impressed, food was phenomenal and drinks came out quickly. They even made accommodations to my food allergy. Service was fast and attentive. We will definitely be back and try their foggy bottom location.

I give Circa at Clarendon 5 stars because everything about it is so nice. Though the menu is somewhat limited, there's something for just about everyone and everything I've had is cooked to perfection. The staff is very cordial and makes the effort to greet you if you've returned even if they aren't serving you. As other reviewers have said it can get noisy inside at night, but during the day it's fine (sometimes a little chilly) but the outside seating is comfortable and they have heaters for when it gets a little colder. The Brussels and blue are my favorite appetizer, but the chicken wings a close second. The lettuce wraps are a meal in themselves for one, and the scallops on Risotto are amazing. While not cheap, the prices are quite moderate.

Fantastic brunch! Loved the avocado toast. Flavors were amazing and it had sauteed onions, poached eggs, and chili oil.

Husband got Crab Benedict. Super disappointing as there was barely any crab. Skip it

I stopped in here last weekend for a quick bite. They have the best Bloody Mary in the area! The House made mix has the perfect balance of spices. Parmesan kale salad was divine and the fries complimented it perfectly. Excellent service at the bar even though all of the seats were full and they were quite busy! Can’t wait to come back!

Instead of going to don titos we went for circa. It was our first time but definitely not last. The bartender was very nice and Let as sample a seasonal draft. Generous serving of Calamari was delicious.
