Old Powhatan Baptist Church

A member of my family has and is a part of this church since it was founded. It is a great place to come and worship. The pastor makes his surmons in a way that is understandable for all. Over the course of the years things in the church have changed. Some good and some not so good. But over all it is a great place. I took my bf there a few Sundays ago and everyone welcomed him with open arms. The people are great and very loving. They make you feel at home when you visit. I am looking forward to see the new addition that is being built to accommodate the growing population of the church. If you have never visited I would recommend doing so. You may find just what you are looking for at Old Powhatan Baptist Church.

I was there for a funeral. The whole event was well orchestrated and timed perfectly. And ... The Gospel was clearly presented. After death, we have two available destinies: with God or without God. If you do not know Christ Who died to pay your sin debt, you will spend forever without God.

It’s weird reviewing a church. But this is an easy five stars. Welcoming-family atmosphere every week. A great kids church program that the kids love going to! The doctrine is biblical, the location is unique. It’s a church to call home.

The Bible is preached to all generations. A very welcoming place.

This is a great Southern Baptist church. I knew it was our new church home the moment we walked in. Great pastor, friendly congregation, beautiful building

Great "little" country church at the end of Old Church Road. Wonderful to see a church so focused outside the four walls of their building!
