Was searching for some good eats in DC. Reviews for Quarterdeck looked good so I decided to give them a try, so glad I did!
Was greeted and sat immediately in the cozy bar area. I ordered and enjoyed delicious fresh shucked oysters, upeel shrimp and fish n chips.
The fresh haddock was lightly fried to perfection and was very good I opted for the delicious onion rings instead of fries.
Prices are super reasonable and won’t break the bank. Local laid back atmosphere. Staff very friendly.
I’ll definitely be back.

My husband and I love Quarterdeck! I’m allergic to blue crabs but they have a great selection of seafood I was able to enjoy while my husband enjoyed his half dozen crabs! The food was amazing and staff was friendly!

I've been wanting to try this place for a while and it did not disappoint. Due to its popularity we decided to go during inclement weather and got there immediately upon opening time. The inside was small and reminded me of an old home. Staff was friendly and we got seated immediately. It was smaller than I imagined, but was told there's other seating areas as well. To the point: All the food was excellent. The lobster bisque was great, very flavorful and not too much sherry in it like other places. The clam chowder was also tasty and was loaded with clams, potatoes, etc. My daughter had a burger and fries and I didn't expect much, but that was one of the best burgers I've had in a restaurant. Was very surprising as again didn't expect much being that it's a seafood restaurant. Fries were great and seasoned well. The fried oysters were cooked to perfection and whatever the red sauce that accompanied it, we almost fought over it as it was so good. I had a half dozen X Large blue crabs that were HUGE, meaty and delicious. Needless to say we will be going back. Thumbs up from all of us.

First time visiting Quarterdeck and I'm honestly upset I just found this restaurant. A nice local crab house that is perfect for me! I was late for my reservation on a busy Friday night and was still able to accommodated. I ordered a half pound of peel & eat shrimp, half dozen of medium crabs, corn on the cob and was full after two shrimp and three crabs. My friend ordered the crab cake and mesquite shrimp meal and was also full. The food was chef's kiss, hot, flavorful and nicely sized. My craving for crabs was definitely fulfilled. I found a new spot to visit and I'll surely be back!

Stumbled across this spot a few weeks ago and it’s a hidden gem for seafood lovers. I’m a crab dip snob and they have the perfect ratio of cheese and lump crab meat. The mussels were also amazing. I think the bartender’s name was Mars or something space related lol, but him and the other young lady there were good vibes. We had a good time with them and the other patrons there at the time. Will visit again.

Excellent all around! Flew in to DC and headed straight away for dinner. Clam chowder was delicious and the hush puppies were fantastic. I am not a crab or lobster fan but tried the crab legs and may have changed my palette. And then the oysters, get the blackberries!

Easy to understand why this place is packed. Large portions of crab dropped right on the table for casual and messy eating. Bring a friend or two to maximize the fun.

The service here is INCREDIBLE! Our server behind the bar worked her a*s off and still managed to take time to make everyone feel welcomed and have a good time

Cannot say enough great things about our visit at this venue! Staff were amazing, food was delicious! We were all from out of town and they accommodated us wonderfully. Thank you so much!

Amazing good food. It's definitely a WYSIWYG sort of place, and that's what makes the food so good. Ordered crab legs and crab cakes with sides. Also their dessert, key lime pie was the best. I recommend it.

The crab cakes were absolutely divine, so meaty and delectable. The shrimp was good and the Mac n cheese was excellent. The jerk catfish was not my cup of tea, but it may be an acquired taste. The space was very cute and the staff was very friendly and efficient.

Coming to this area of the country, I feel you need to get some crab - their crab cake didn’t disappoint. When they say no filler crab cake, it is no filler; all crab that is lightly pan fried. The stead didn’t looks special, but done perfectly to taste.

The service was impeccable. What made the bartender (Mark, if I heard right) is his local accent with the type of service of simple carefree joy. The man likes his job and you can feel it.

Classic East Coast seafood joint with outdoor seating. Good for families. I really enjoyed the lobster roll and the coleslaw was superb. We came with no reservation and it took a while to get seated, even though there was noticeable availability. Overall, a great experience despite the waiting.

Our waitress Maggie was absolutely amazing!!! She made us feel welcome and was attentive. We even shared a few stories. The food was amazing as well. The crab tasted fabulous. The coleslaw tasted fresh. All of the food was fantastic.

Traveling thru VA stay local. A taste for Seafood. Google Quarterdeck came up-went there not far from my lodging. Ordered the snow crabs with hush puppies and corn on the cob. Delicious food. Great value for the money. My server Cat was OUTSTANDING.

This place is so eclectic, and has the atmosphere of a Louisiana bar. The music is on point and keeps you moving in your seat. Before you go make a reservation and give enough time to relax and enjoy all this place has to offer. We had Alana as our server and she was filled with energy and made the experience so much better.

My #1 spot for crabs. I've never had an issue, and the food is always delicious. I had jumbo crabs and buffalo wings & it was good. I haven't had crabs in a while, so it hit the spot.

We enjoyed the food at Quarterdeck so much that we went back for more the next night! The Maryland Blue Crab Cakes were the best I have ever had, as were the shrimp and the green beans & carrots. I would definitely go back if ever in the area again. Parking can be difficult, lot is small and street is usually full. We drove around until someone pulled out, but the food was worth it

BEST place to eat in the area!! Magnificent service and welcoming vibe. I can’t wait to come back again!!!
