Was able to affordably book a last minute tee time for early morning, which was awesome. First time playing this course and it is in great shape at the moment. I’m used to faster greens. These are relatively slow but roll true and are in fine shape. Friendly staff from checkin at the Proshop and getting a cart, to the Marshall and the beverage cart. Definitely will be back!

Wow, what a great experience at a local public golf course the staff was amazing in the clubhouse. A representative name David was very polite, courteous, and considerate, as well as patient as it was my first visit to this golf course.
I actually paired up with two other golfers, who were very friendly and supportive, even though I did not know them, and it was my first visit.

One of the few places where I can putt for a birdie occasionally. The course is usually in great shape and the people are friendly and laid back. Plus, it doesn't cost an arm and leg to play on the weekend.

Greens are incredible! Loved it. Made (2) 30 footers, made 6-7 up & downs! Fun times! Bring your driving game! It's wide open.

Very nice course! First time there this past Saturday and going back this Saturday. Everything was in great shape except one tee box but I was hitting off a tee anyway. Very friendly marshal whose presence kept the round flowing smooth. Nice practice facilities as well.

Amazing Layout. Fairways are tight at times, Love the topography, hitting into uphill greens. And descently long...only negative is really slow greens , and the back tees are not cut so short...but great shape otherwise ...best part, is the green fee..very reasonable and staff is super attentive and pleasant. I'M SOLD... Im coming back again and again..Go, you won't be disappointed

I really like this course. It is great for those that don't want to be pushed through the day of play. Staff is always friendly and prices are not gonna kill the wallet. Also a great place to see all kinds it's wildlife not just houses like at some courses.

Always, always enjoy getting out this way to play Mill Quarter. It's a gem of a course and it never dissapoints, shot placement is critical in lining up approach shots to the green. Greens and fairways are in immaculant condition and military/senior rates are hard to beat.

Nice course. Friendly staff. Will play again . They need better drainage on a few holes. But with the rain we have had not too much more you could do.

Very nice course and accommodating staff. Head pro was even willing to make food for our group after a round on a rainy day when the kitchen staff had left early. Will definitely be back again. Thanks.

Wow... every course in Richmond greens are suffering. Some of the top courses have closed because their greens are gone due to the weather this year. I've seen MQ look amazing at times and I've seen it suffering at times. Like every public course in the area. I love the layout and the staff is amazing.

The "Timber" is to open the course up to more sun and wind, and for area development. You need that to survive in a dying golf market. With that comes inconvenience.

Love the layout and the reasonable cost to play. Keep working on the course MQ, good days are around the corner.

A Friend of mine and myself played Mill Quarter the 1st time about 10 months ago and just recently remembered I forgot to leave my personal review so o thought I would do so now .
Well Let me tell you Something, DO NOT BELIEVE EVERYTHING YOU HEAR. As a Very Good Golfer 3 things I always look for in a Course are these (1) A Challenging Layout (2) Impressive Employees and (3) Rate that is Fair to the Course.
Well , I had heard it was a Goat Track, Employees Were rude and they should PAY YOU to play there . I have 1 Question WHAT FRIGGIN COURSE WERE THEY AT ?.
When I walked into the Club House I was Treated Like one of the Guys, The Gentleman behind the Counter treated me like He had known me for the Last 30 years , That Absolutely Blew me away . I Had a Friend With Me and He was Bugeyed as well.
Well once they found out We were first timers I had no idea that it was possible to be Nicer but I be Damned if they weren't, Telling us where water could be gotten, Hidden trouble, To take our time and Relax and Enjoy...WOW .
Then they Layout, One of the Few courses I have been at that I don't care if you are a +5 or 30 handicap they have a Tee Box for you and a Skill to match your own. The Gentlemen Cutting Grass or working Wouldn't just stop cutting, No, They in Most Cases Turned the Machines OFF, You Thought you had gone Deaf, You actually Had a QUITE RELAXING Round of Golf.
I Had a Tee Time Golf Pass which is Good in 5 States which saves me a Ton of Money, But I was playing during the Weekday and even if I hadn't the Rates were So
Reasonably affordable it was almost Stealing .
I can't Say what it was Like in the past but I can assure it wasn't a one time thing as we have come back on Several occasions and we are Happy to report that We got the same treatment and we are nobody special and not inspectors sent in to critique golf courses without them knowing it .
Do yourself a Favor and play for the first time, And if you had problems in the past You owe it to yourself to give them another Chance.

Really enjoyed the course. Challenging but playable and fair. Greens were in great shape. Staff was very welcoming as well. Overall great experience and worth the drive.

First it started with a warm welcome from the people inside.
The Gentleman behind the Counter couldn't have been nicer, This also extended to the lady at the snack bar when we made our turn after 9.
I have read some comments that were not very nice and I had not been to MQ in almost 20 years since I live in Ashland.
I have been to MQ 2 times in the past 3 weeks and all I can say is that the people that wrote those comments had to have fallen in to 1 of 2 categories.
1) People that were at another Golf Course.
Or
2) People that for some reason that have not told the whole truth if they told the truth at all.
I will have NO problem making the trip out there again.
The Practice facility, The Greens and the employees are all 1st rate.

Good greens for a public course, and a nice variety of holes from wide open to tree lined.

You can’t beat the price for weekdays or weekends and the course conditions are right on par with private clubs in the area. It’s the best value around. Other public’s are charging more for less, but can’t offer what MQ has got going on now. Great job MQ Staff.

A very good time. Played with 2 very cool dudes. We almost smoked them but come to find out these dudes play in the course championship and play there often. I call for a rematch.....

Wow I am very impressed with this golf course. The staff is very friendly and helpful. This is the best public public course in central VA. This is the best driving range/ new balls.
