The Capital Grille

The service was wonderful here - we felt very welcome and valued. Food was great as well. The ribeye was pretty tender and easier than I expected to bite through as part of a sandwich. French onion soup was a pretty standard recipe that’s hard to go wrong with, and they definitely delivered.

The desserts were given on the house to mark our first time dining there, which was a very considerate gesture. Your waiter will even pack up any leftovers in boxes for you, which goes to show that Capital Grille seems to be aiming for a very high level of service.

Food was appropriate for the price, nothing especially wowed me except maybe the dessert, but all was definitely great. Service was amazing, was served by Johnny(hopefully spelled correctly) and he treated us great, all staff was friendly though, I appreciate the compliment on my outfit if that hostess sees this, thx! Went for my birthday and had a good time!

Food was excellent. Had the filet and lobster tail, and it was easily the best meal I’d ever had. Clam chowder was great. As was the wedge salad. Really excellent staff, and very friendly. My first time there, and I’ll be back.

Went to this restaurant recently. My husband took me to celebrate a special occasion. There's plenty of parking, handicap parking spots and accessibility, valet parking. The restaurant is beautiful and extremely clean and well maintained. The staff are extremely professional and tactful. We had a great experience from the time we walked in until the time we walked out. The wine list was incredibly long and offered you just about every option you can imagine. Our food was amazing and cooked perfectly and our waitress was the bomb! She was so good probably one of the best we've ever had. I wish I would have gotten her name to add to this review. She definitely deserves kudos! Great experience and would absolutely recommend for a visit!

Finally found a cool but chill "relaxed" place to have one of the finest Filets I've had. The meal, the ambiance, the service - very friendly to outsiders.

This was my second time to this place, I was so impressed, we came back again. The bartender, Shalyla (forgive me if I am misspelling her name) not only remembered us from a month before, but she knew our food and drink orders from that time.

WOW! And then apparently she overheard it was my birthday, so as a special, we got this as a special surprise. I will say, this is my favorite new steak house in Fairfax, and if you go? Get the lamb chop loppypops, to die for.

I’ve been going to the capital Grille in Tysons for ages and really like it. This was my first visit to the Fairfax location and I was beyond impressed. A beautiful new venue, with a wine list of mile long.

I love that they also offer personal lockers and have a wine cellar that’s extremely expensive.

I’ve never had a bad meal here, everything on the menu is exceptional. The steaks are always going to be great but don’t sleep on the lamb which was outstanding.

From a budget perspective, it’s on the higher end, which is to be expected from a high end steakhouse. That said, it’s worth every penny and I will be back often.

My husband and I went to Capital Grille for our wedding anniversary and I don’t know what was better, the food, or the service. Our filets were delicious. We ordered the mashed potatoes, mushrooms and asparagus for sides. All delicious, but we didn’t like the asparagus because it came with lemon. We had the wedge salad and the Caesar, both delicious. Our waiter, Johnny, was SO nice and accommodating. He brought us our complementary champagne and dessert! Definitely will go back!

Great experience! We had reservations for 8pm and literally got sat at 8:05, which was very good. When we arrived to our table they had it set up with a rose and card for our anniversary! The server recommended food and drinks and his picks were on point, I really enjoyed the side car. The food was great! I did have a problem with my steaks temp two times under cooked. The Chef did deliver my steak and made sure it was at the right temp, as it was after he personally cooked it. The staff still made sure I was happy by refreshing my sides and having the manger as well to come over and check. They made sure my experience was nothing but perfect! At the end of my dinner they brought a surprise dessert that was also good. I definitely recommend this restaurant, they show so much care about their customers I wasn’t even made about the steak and they still get 5 stars because how the handle the situation.

Undoubtedly, this is the best steak and seafood restaurant, with 5-star food, service, and ambiance!

We came in for my father-in-law's birthday and really had a good time. Our waiter, Rahul, treated us extremely well and even made sure our baby stayed happy. In addition to that, everything we ordered was delicious.

The best restaurant experience we have had in a long time. My wife and I were looking for an intimate atmosphere to celebrate Valentine’s Day and this was the place. The food was amazing and our waitress, Amber, went out of her way to take care of us. She really made our dinner a fantastic experience. We look forward to going back and we highly recommend this restaurant.

We have dined here multiple times over the past couple of years and have never once had a bad experience! Everyone is so welcoming and accommodating and the food has never once disappoint. Tonight we had Jack S. as our server, amazing service and very nice guy. He went above and beyond from drinks to dessert. We had a hiccup towards the end, though no fault of his, and he went out of his way to make things right. Can’t wait until next time!

Always a stellar experience - though Sean, takes service to another level. What an exceptional and intuitive host who knows how and when to inject and interact. We very much appreciated his level of service!!!

Only disappointment - they no longer carry Miller Lite🍺. The manager tried to explain the distributor changed. Ugh.

We have been here a few times, but tonight our experience was so much better because of our waiter - Jack Stroming. He recommended to best dishes and invited us to meet the chef’s. His service was simply the best. It’s the reason I will eat here again. 5 stars for Jack!

As always this place delivers quality and delicious food, knock out service, and a pleasant atmosphere.

We ordered to go and have to say this will be our new go-to place for the best steak and dishes. The filet mignon was excellent even at well done. It didn't get burned and was not dry. The chicken breasts were awesome with no bad chicken stench or smell. The risotto tasted great, it was just perfect. The fries are terrific. The complimentary bread and butter were excellent in quality. I only said good things because this place was awesome. If you liked Ruth's Chris before they fell off the cliff, then Capital Grille does it even better.

It’s our second time to be in this branch because it’s special to be back here for double celebration. Tia was amazing and surprised all of us. She’s very attentive and provide great service. We had a great night and we enjoyed the oysters, chicken, tuna, sea bass, calamari’s , steaks and mushrooms tastes good. It was indeed a happy night with a wine.

We had a great night. Fillet Mignon, Bone-In Ribeye & Pan-Seared Sea Bass are amazingly cooked according to your preferences. Oysters are fresh and Calamari’s taste good. Nice staff. We’re a party of 4 & requested a table for 6 due to social distancing and they gave us a corner table. It was a great night indeed with a wine. Definitely we’ll be back. Reservations are highly recommended.

My wife and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary here and this is so far the best service I had in my life. Parker was our server and he took care of us and treated us like he were his family or friends. I was amazed by how professional and charismatic he was. I am thankful to have such an amazing experience and I am thankful that he was our server. When I think about serving people I think about how Parked took care of my wife and I to made our experience even better.

The service and the meal were excellent. The menu is relatively simple with a vast wine menu of that's your cup of tea. The margaritas were great. We ordered the tuna Tartare and calamari for appetizers and I enjoyed both of them thouroughly. The tuna got a little messy but that didn't slow me down. It would probably a little more difficult for more than 2 or 3 people to share. My wife ordered the chicken and risotto which while I ordered the bone in Ribeye. Man I don't like ordering steaks too often because I feel like I make a really pretty good one one but this one was good. We also ordered the potatoes au gratin (which were pretty impressive) and the roasted mushrooms. Everything was good overall. I feel as though it's pricey for what you get but a great meal regardless.
