I love this school and all it has to offer. My children have been there since Kindergarten and have flourished in the warm, caring, and safe community that BSH offers. Offering both academic excellence and an environment to help create good humans, BSH checks all the boxes. I feel incredibly grateful to the friend that told us about Blessed Sacrament all those years ago. This school is helping to shape my children into the men they will one day be. Forever grateful we are a part of the Knight family.

If you're looking for a college prep school (early-learners through 12) with small class-sizes, individual attention and a family like atmosphere - BSH should be on your list. Enrollment is up by over 35% since '19 and major academic & facility improvements continue to unfold. Plans are underway for the development of a beautiful new Art Center, a new Student Activity Center and for comprehensive renovations of the main gym and 35 classrooms throughout the campus.

This welcoming campus is full of tradition and is definitely on the rise!

When our granddaughter came to Richmond and could go to any private school she wanted, after touring several she indicated she wanted to go to BSH because it felt "like home and family." And BSH is truly that a nurturing environment that provides a first-class education with a clear focus on raising values-driven young people to become great citizens of the world. One visit to its forty acre, open campus is enough to convince anyone that BSH is a great place for their children to grow up and prepare to face the world.

We have two boys that are in their first year of attending BSH. Our experience has been nothing but wonderful. The preschool and kindegarten teachers are everything we had hoped for and more. Kind, loving, and motivating! Their confidence is soaring, they are excited to go to school, and our 5 year old is reading! Parent involvement is encouraged on a number of levels here and there are so many wonderful opportunities to volunteer and participate in school activities and events. I've found it to be a supportive, family-friendly environment.

BSH did more for me than I could ever repay. The teachers, staff and parents truly care about the individual as if you were a part of their family. This college style campus provides top level education at the fraction of the price compared to Collegiate or St. Chris. BSH and it small class room sizes allowed to me flourish achieving things I never thought possible. Without BSH I would have never chosen to attend VMI or commission as an Officer in the United States Air Force. The BSH family built the foundation of my life and for that I can never say thank you enough. #Class of 2004

If you are considering sending your child here please do your research. I did not and regret it very much so. Check multiple sites and you will find people coming out of the woodworks with awful experiences. Blessed Sacrament discriminates against children who are less than perfect. Blessed Sacrament has a “learning specialist” on staff, but they fail to provide assistance for kids who need it. Exact words verbatim are “we don’t provide those services as we don’t have the man power” and “public school systems would be able to assist you” although enrolling them you are told the class sizes are smaller and the teachers have an assistant in a class of 15 students. By services, I mean simple programs such as One on One or tutoring/extra help-nothing serious. With the amount paid for tuition it could be assumed the school would provide the resources for each child’s needs, but they do not. With the amount of tuition and donations to the school, it would seem they could budget for programs as there is no possible way that every single student learns without extra help. Yet, they don’t because instead of funding it, they push those students out and only welcome students who fit their cookie cutter box. If your child does not learn their way, the teachers and administrators will not adjust their techniques or work with your child. If your child does not fit in their “box” they will be severely misunderstood and they will be shamed and mentally abused by staff. Instead of doing what they are paid for, they will look to you as a parent for your child not meeting their expectations. They will lead to believe that your child is less than and not meeting expectations but get a second opinion because you will most likely find out that your child is completely normal and on par. Always trust your instincts.
