Chilaquiles do not disappoint! Can’t wait to go back and try more off the menu. The coffee menu is definitely unique. I tried the Coconut Horchata Coffee it was just the right amount of sweetness and flavor.

I live down the street and every time I drove by this place I kept saying to myself "I should go there." Well today was the day and I regret... not going sooner. As everyone has said, it's affordable and delicious food. I got a fried chicken torta, my gf got the chilaquiles, and we both got a dirty horchata. All that came out to be $32!!! The portions stretched us two meals. The food was absolutely delicious. Automatically moved into "neighborhood favorite" with one trip.

FWIW -- staff was super friendly even though it was extremely busy when we went. It added a nice touch to a beautiful Sunday brunch.

Can't wait to go again!

Incredible food, so thoughtful and inventive! The horchata latte is wonderful and everything is BEYOND delicious. 12/10 will be coming back again ASAP

Amazing, strong, dark coffee. My wife really enjoyed the Dirty Horchata. We only had drinks and a couple of yummy cookies, but we agreed that we would happily eat any of the items on the rather large menu. Breakfast, salads, soups, burritos, and bowls all made in a tiny kitchen. We decided to order tamales for Christmas without having tried them, but we expect to love them. ❤

CHICA is the embodiment of a place 'acogedora'. [Look up on Google translate]. Its unassuming, and the decor mixed style furniture reminicent of the street markets my parents would take us to long ago.

Everything is made to order, so be patient, it's worth it. The Mexi-bowls were appealing, but the fried chicken and waffle is what I would have ordered back home, so I went for it.

With so many fried chicken spots in Oakland, it's not often one makes such a lasting impression. The flavors were carefully concocted, and the chicken as tender and juicy as can be. The bit of cebolla roja, limón, jitomate, y aguacate, along with the added fried egg took the flavors from savory to Umami.

For a closer, the kid in me reached for the Mazapan then looked at my almond latte and a lightbulb dinged. I crumbled the brittle treat into the cup, took a sip. The mix rivals any hazelnut latte and forms a hot chocalate-like consistency. Along with the buttery/syrupy waffle, it was literal sweet bliss.

You could also come for a coffee, kick back and be swooned by the dope soundtrack. Though, if you're like me you may be inclined to start singing outloud or start grooving in your seat.

Ordered a fried chicken bowl with rice and hot sauce. Was super delicious! Would come back again for more goodies!

Small place with excellent service, the food is very good and generally everything you eat is delicious. the prices are very accessible and I recommend it 100%

This is my favorite little spot in the neighborhood! The fresh squeezed orange juice hits like no other and you really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. I appreciate their mix and match approach with the bowls. Staff are always nice and the service is fast.

Absolutely delicious!! We especially loved the pollo Frito with waffles and the chilaquiles. Their plates are new fusion but wonderfully executed and excellently married together. The staff was friendly and the space is small but very cute. The dirty horchata and the hibiscus black tea were very good too. Will definitely come back!!

Kind staff, yummy food! Only complaint is that they use single use, plastic to-go containers for every meal! I would so appreciate if they would switch to compostable materials as most plastic ends up in the landfill and give dine in customers reusable ceramic plates and wash them.

Gourmet food in a chill setting. Got salad bowl which was super tasty; fresh veggies, perfectly seasoned and great texture with nuts and seeds. Staff were welcoming and offered to make items vegetarian. Will definitely be back!

Our fav spot in the neighborhood - amazing staff, incredible food and great vibe. The chilaquiles verde & pollo frito bowls with chimichurri sauce or chingona sauce are my go-to dishes, but you can't really go wrong with anything on the menu. Their drinks are amazing, especially their fresh OJ & horchata.

I have gotten Chica’s pretty much once a week for lunch for months. One of the main food places I miss the most now that I moved out of Oakland. I almost always get the carnitas bowl with pico de gallo and guac 👌 The steak torta was a favorite of mine, but they don’t do it anymore sadly

Amazing food. Some of the best Mexican food I've had. They did an amazing job twice catering with the burrito bowls. Everyone loved them. The house sauce is so good.

Tiny gem hidden in a mostly residential neighborhood. The person who took our order and put them on the table was super sweet. I will definitely go back to continue encouraging a small local restaurent. Oh and, of course, the food was delicious otherwise I wouldn't bother writing all these praises! Only downside is that it's tiny and not the most inviting decor, but that's really not an issue for me personally...

Fresh food. Very high quality and delicious. Everything I have tried here is amazing, particularly good is the chicken and waffles or the Eggs Benedict on weekends with the biscuits made from scratch. Also has vegetarian options.

This place is one of my favorite things about my neighborhood — I head over on lazy (or hung over) weekend mornings to treat myself, and the food, staff, clientele and vibe are always perfect. I haven’t tried that much of the menu because I always have to order the chilaquiles. They are dope.

My only complaint is that I wish they opened earlier! Waking up at 8 or 9 wanting breakfast and having to wait until 10am is painful 😂

I love this place. The food is amazing, the staff is super friendly, and it is locally owned. The only bad thing I can say about Chica is that the seating area is too crammed, but we live close by so we usually just walk over and get takeout. Seriously, do yourself a favor and try them out.

I’ve been dreaming about the waffle and chilaquiles I shared here. Next time, I’m ordering both for myself so I don’t have to split them :) staff were super kind as well, they gave my daughter a cookie after she caused a scene. Highly recommend!
