We had 3 guests stay at B Love’s guest house for an event we produced, and it was an absolute pleasure! Traci was so kind, communicative, and accommodating, and showed our guests and ourselves such a great time with her. The house has so much history within the walls, from the photographs she took herself as a professional photographer documenting historical moments, to the different rooms showcasing individual personality. This house fosters community interaction and allows for people to connect easily. Traci even came out to our event to support our Black History month cause. Wonderful stay and couldn’t recommend more!

Room and house were beautiful, friendly tenants, wonderful back yard. Mrs. Traci was very welcoming. Private bathroom meant we had an entire floor to ourselves during our visit. Only drawback was the street noise our first night there, but things calmed down after the holiday weekend.

B-Love's Guest House was a beautiful Victorian house in a transitioning neighborhood that was centralized to my weekend activities. This is an older charming house filled with the owner's art. I loved the clawfoot tub! Traci was warm and friendly and provided amazing suggestions for restaurants. I had a wonderful stay!!!

Such a lovely guesthouse! Traci was warm and accommodating and there for anything we needed. The house and garden are beautiful, the bed was comfortable, everything was clean, what more can you ask for!

This BnB was just what I needed to end my trip to the bay area. The room was very clean, beautifully decorated with lots of space. I stayed in the gallery room #6 which has it's own private bathroom with a claw foot tub. Traci is extremely accommodating and communicative. Bonus was all of the amazing photographs and prints that will make your heart fill with hope and happiness. Extra bonus points for being only a few blocks from West Oakland Bart.

10/10 recommend and I hope to visit again.

We had a wonderful stay at B-Love's Guest House! Immediately on our arrival it was clear that this is a space built with love. The path to the door is lined with a beautiful garden, and the place is filled with artwork and positive messages. We had a room with a window that opened to the courtyard and took every opportunity to sit outside, I even had some reading time in the hammock. There were a few other residents who we had the pleasure to talk to, but otherwise it was very calm and still, even in the middle of the bay area! I would certainly stay here again.

I stayed at B-Love's Guest House for four nights, and I really enjoyed my stay. I stayed in the Cloud-9 room. It had a view of the backyard garden which I really enjoyed. The room was very clean and cozy. The whole experience gets 5 stars from me for cleanliness. The art gallery is stunning, and it brings a sense of love and creativity into your stay. Traci is very communicative and kind. I went to the close by West Oakland Farmers Market that's every Sunday on 18th and Peralta St which was lovely! I would absolutely recommend staying here to a friend or family member, and I would stay there again!

As a frequent traveler, I can say hands down this was one of my most enjoyable stays. The house is unique, artsy, decorated with stunning photography, and the good vibes are unmatched! It is in a great location just a few blocks from the BART. The host is an amazingly kind and friendly woman that looks out for her guests and makes them feel like family. Sharing homemade cookies around the holidays, offering fruits and vegetables from her lovely back yard garden (which itself is an Oakland Oasis), and often checking in to make sure her guests are comfortable. The rooms are affordable, comfortable and have everything you need if working from home or just traveling for pleasure. The kitchen is great for hanging out with other guests and fully stocked with cook ware. I met some wonderful people and made some new friends during my stay (though if you prefer to keep to yourself, that's all good here too) Although I usually bounce around, I found myself extending my time there as I didn't want to leave!! If you're looking to experience Oakland for the first time, or just need a place to put your feet up, kick back and enjoy the sunshine... look no further <3

Amazing location in West Oakland rich with history of Black Panther Party and the railroad. Price is low, and amenities are plentiful. Traci/B-Love is an amazing artist (dancer/photographer) with a beautiful soul. You are sure to enjoy your stay and connect with kind, generous housemates during your time there.

Curfew
No curfew, however quiet hours after 11pm.

Amenities
1 shared restroom with shower. There is no soap, shampoo, conditioner, or toothpaste/mouthwash provided so be sure to bring your own supply. A towel and washcloth are available for use.

1 shared kitchen with all housemates. The refrigerator is on the small side, but able to be shared with a convo with other housemates. Folks are generally nice/kind and considerate of others. The kitchen is kept clean but there aren’t a lot of plates, bowls, utensils, or cookware, so do be aware of potential limitations before purchasing food.

Bedroom
I stayed in the Garden Room. It held up to its description. I really enjoyed the stay, although it was very humid/moist in the room. The added moisture I believe occurred due to majority of the guesthouse being underground (bottom floor). On my second night I realized just opening the window helped reduce the moisture by 50%.

In the future, I believe I’d stay on the top floor of the house (California room) to avoid the moisture challenges.

Garden
The garden is magnificent!!!!!!!!! I’d stay again purely to enjoy the backyard/garden.

Photography/Art

B-love’s photography is divine. The upstairs 90s hiphop Augmented Reality app and self-portrait galleries are magnificent. Also, the various images of Black families make the stay even more enjoyable. Be sure to ask about community arts events because B-love will put you on!!!

Parking
Parking is available on 12th or Mandela Parkway, note there is very little parking on Center due to an agreement with neighbors.

B-Love's Guesthouse is a serene, comfortable, cozy and tasteful space to stay( whether you plan on it being short-term or long-term). My husband and I had a very comfortable stay there and we also recommend it to out of town guests. They have raved about it. The garden is lovely and it is walking distance from Mandela Foods Co-op, as well as the BART and local public transportation.

B Love's Guesthouse is a hidden treasure of Oakland! A must-visit for staycationers and travelers as well as anyone in the neighborhood who seeks a sweet treat along with Black (living) history. Between the owner Traci's warm and welcoming demeanor to the exquisitely peaceful backyard garden and beautiful photo gallery, what's not to love? I'm a big fan of Traci's Radiant Bliss juice handmade and homegrown with cannabis, veggies and fruit. I can't wait to try some again this spring!

The first time I came to B-Love's Guest House was for a get-together she was having in the backyard garden. I had just moved out to Oakland and still learning my way around. All I know is that I got a true taste of the real Oakland. Like it's heart and soul was grown there. Her energy and the vibe was very welcoming. There were so many people of different ethnicities just having a great time together.

Beautiful! A place of peace and tranquility in an urban setting. Comfortable rooms, a lovely garden, a sweet place to rest and rejuvenate. The Sister/Owner provides a gentle healing space that deserves to be known to respectful beings in need of a resting place while visiting the Bay Area! I will return!

Upon arrival I immediately felt comfortable and wanted to retire for the night. The room was snug, but cozy and relaxing. The bathroom was pretty clean and kitchen as well. Excellent shared environment, with just enough room for a full house. Laundry facility was available, and hi speed wifi all day and night. Oh, even though I stayed during spring shower season the backyard garden was an awesome meditative place! Thanks for being a great host Tracy! Oh yeah kudos for the natures blessings in the bathroom! Probly only air b n b in the world with it!

It was incredibly clean with a great atmosphere and was close to both downtown Oakland and just a short drive to San Francisco.
