Disagree with the negative reviews, we had a very good experience with Lisa and her business. Anyone who can make my mom laugh the day after my dad died is OK in my book.

I lost both my father and my husband within a few months. I ended up dealing with four funeral establishments and felt I was being absolutely tortured by three of them – delays, price-gouging, lost documents, lack of compassion, lack of communication. And then I was referred to Lisa at Grissom’s Chapel & Mortuary. Her practicality, her kindness, her knowledge, the speed with which she attended to my needs was like a balm to my shattered nerves and mourning heart. All of a sudden, EVERYTHING WAS HANDLED – speedily, economically, practically, and with COMPASSION. Everything I wanted was done and nothing I didn’t want was pressed upon me. I can’t recommend Lisa and her team at Grissom’s more highly. She made the memories of my husband’s funeral beautiful and that is…priceless. Thank you!

Professional, caring and extremely capable. At a time when you don't want to do comparison shopping or deal with legal bureaucracy, while many others try to gouge you, Lisa & Grissom's provide a great service at a great price.

Three years ago after my mother's passing I had no idea what to do next and a close friend strongly recommended Lisa. She called me and handled everything without a single hiccup. It was smooth professional and all of the bureaucracy (that I on later realize was involved) was processed and handled so I didn't have any issues in the challenges ahead.

This last month my father passed and Lisa was one of my first calls. Three years later she remembered me and treated me like a welcome friend. She was professional, kind and caring. When I had some complexities around county regulators and death certificates she knew exactly how to drive things forward through the system and get me the tools I needed to resolve my father's estate quickly and smoothly. Her expertise likely saved me tens of thousands in dealing with my father's estate.

She is the peace of mind you need at a time like this.

Grissom Chapel and Mortuary and Lisa , the funeral director did an excellent job with my friends sons Funeral. Everybody was friendly nice attentive ,understanding and patient. We all felt embraced by Lisa, and her staff during such a sad time in our lives.

I’m not sure about the previous persons experience but I have rely on Grissom’s (and Lisa) three times in two years. One call and she handles everything. I sternly disagree with the one star review posted some time back. In my experience, Lisa has a huge heart and wi do everything in her power to make this unhappy experience easy. She even helped us find a mortuary out of state for a loved one. She and her staff are amazing. I HIGHLY recommend Lisa and her staff when you have to deal with one of the most difficult times of you life, loosing someone you love.

Excellent service with Del. Who is an amazing individual, Gave us some great guidance on how to make the service our own. We will always appreciate his kindness, sympathy he will always be apart of our family.

As morbid as it is to talk about mortality and the process of making arrangements for a deceased a loved one, it is something we all have to deal with eventually. The day my husband passed away my head was in a haze and I could barely think let alone make decisions orarrangementsforhis body to be transferred to a mortuary. Grissom's made it easy as they were the first phone call I made. Although I checked with a couple other places Grissom's was ultimately the right choice. The two females that came to pick him up at the hospital were professional and efficient. Robert and Lisa were also very professional and welcoming and sympathetic and made this unbearable process easier to navigate and I would highly recommend this place to anyone having to make these difficult choices. I give them 5 stars and I wish I could give more. Everything was perfect for my Mom's service. From the time Chantel took her from the hospital up to her internment, everything was handled professionally and with care by Frank and the rest of Grissom's staff... me and my whole family are so grateful for the wonderful final service which is certainly just the way my Mom would wish it to be.

Beautiful venue to celebrate the life of a loved one who has just passed. Staff is cordial and respectful of your situation, and they allow you to grieve on your own terms.

What a great experience. We worked with Frank, and others. They were kind and helpful. Very professional. "Would work with again" seems like strange thing to say. But they helped during a tough time.
