Haven't been here since a kid with Grandma. I was pleasantly surprised to how neat, organized and clean it was inside. The produce was fresh and bright, grabbed greens for 1.99 a pound and turkey wings. Prices on some things weren't displayed but prices were fair especially on the meat. There's a DMV, check cashing, Western Union, candy area,other small business inside. Really conveniently located . The staff was friendly and helpful. Everyone had a positive vibe and was knowledgeable about items in the store. Honestly this is one of the best grocery store I've been to. I was apprehensive as we drove to it because neighboring streets appear shady although it was very clean inside and out of the store, no weird smells, or people hanging around. I would definitely shop here they also have boudin, gumbo, and other southern treats and spices. Try it and hit like if you enjoy you won't be disappointed.

Food King is my wife's favorite place to go because of the meat section I love the good quality meat sold there.

Meat counter. Crunchy chicken. Liquor store. Some produce and pantry staples

Everyone is very kind and respectful. This store deserves 10 stars. Too bad they can't be put in what I don't like. Noise when parking outside is annoying and as a tenant and whoever feels that you deserve better treatment from the owners with this I mean that they should put more protection and care that there is outside everything excellent good treatment I have known them for 8 years🙏🙏🙏🙏❤❤

I went there for meat. Everyone in there was so nice. In the refrigerated section there was some potato salad it was called Dana's Place Always Gluten Free Potato Salad it was the best potato salad I had ever had. No lie
I had never heard of this kind before unlike the ones you buy and have to add something well with this potato salad its all good.You really should try it. It is on isle 9 in the refrigerated section.

Been going there since I was 12, I am now 27. They are always polite and helpful. Good prices on most items and they are nice people. My grabbed a fruit from the shelf and started eating it before I was able to take it away. I didn't have enough money for it and they just let her have it because they understood she was just a child. She's only 3 and most stores would have made it a point to make me pay for it. I like how they run their store

Huge place for grocery’s fresh produce and meats. They have Kripy chicken and they also cash checks and have DMV registration. Services. And pay most of your utility bills there

I' ve seen this place change ownership since the 80's, meat selection still the same - outstanding. Quality and service top rated

☺Greetings to All,going to this store to pay a bill or to get your cut of meat from the butcher is usually a day by day task to many, but if you enjoy turkey cheese or hog head cheese this is the place to be😁

I love being able to get the things that me and my family loves and need... At the moment we have know car to get to Walmart or Target, Safeway... So thankful that Foodking you is no longer then 5 minutes away and the people are not uptight about taking the time to meet and talk about the things that me and my wife loves to get at the best prices

This is a great place yo go in the neighborhood for groceries. They also have one of the best Meat Markets in the area.
They also have an adjacent liquor store on-site.

I love this store I've been going to the store since I was a little girl I'm from Berkeley but my aunt lived out here in East Oakland and always love going there and they have huge lobster tails that are for $30
