Found everything to be very well prepared and tasted delicious. Can't really decide on the favorite, but a few standouts are the lasagna, sausage and pizza. The dessert was also very good. All this was also pretty light on the wallet. Definitely recommend it but you should definitely make a reservation as they get pretty busy.

I kind of don't want to review this place because it's the best kept secret of the east bay. The food is always good. Their special events offer great wine pairings and they always blow me away with their veg and fish options. I normally don't like fish but they cook it with such a perfect mix of sweet, sour, salty and spicy. It's never too much of anything but just the right amount of everything. The portion sizes are just right to be able to have a starter the main and desert.

Now to the service. They are a small place that has a staff that's loyal, which is a good sign. They always seem to really love the dishes because when you ask their mouth waters! The service is wonderful! They are attentive, know when to come fill your glass and when to pickup the plates.

From the outside it doesn't look like much but the experience is like being at home with family eating fresh seafood of the coast of some little Italian village you are passing through but never want to leave!

Delicious, flavorful, classy, and friendly. We arrived 45 minutes before close and were still treated with a wonderful dining experience. Their bread and oil were fresh and tasty. The lasagna was complex and full of flavor, and the pizza was authentic Italian, per my Italian fiance. The cannoli was the best I've ever had, and went very well with a cappuccino from the bar. Bravo!

My friends took me here for my birthday and it was one of the best dinners I've had in recent memory. Everybody working here was friendly and warm (and I'm sure we were a little more obnoxious than the average party 😂) and the food is incredible. Tonnato was on point and the ling cod tasted like love... Anyways, go here. Dopo is amazing.

Had dinner there with the pre fixe menu for $45 each. Had bee n for lunch several times recently and dinner quite a few years ago, so we didn't expect this. Our friend visiting from Manhattan was throughly impressed by the food. Casual atmosphere and totally gourmet without the foam etc. Every dish was delicious! From the friendly greeting through the excellent Salumi (cold cuts) choice, great salad, a wonderful surprisingly good soup to the cappuccino - all great. Not to forget a very well fitting white wine rounded it all off.... Would definitely recommend.

All I can say is Wow!
The fresh ricotta cheese was by far the best Ive ever had! We had the mozzarella pizza and it was done to perfection! Whole crab was sweet and delicious! I highly recommend Dopo!

Authentic Italian cuisine prepared with the best ingredients and served in a casual setting. Truly special dishes and outstanding wine pairings, fabulous deserts. Highly recommended for both lunch and dinner.

Very creative menu and knowledgeable wait staff in a contemporary atmosphere. The only ding was a bottle of red wine that was too cold- perhaps the winter temp seeped into the cellar, but @ $75 a bottle, it should not be diminished by poor temp control. I like coffee, usually order a quad- machiatto. Many baristas goof it up with steamed milk, rather than foam only. No issues here at Dopo - coffee was perfect😁

Enjoyed lunch at El Dopo.. Fantasic service and friendly owner who helped us with menu selections. I enjoyed a chicken salad like no other..tasty .We also enjoyed sand dab somethings that was perfect with the salad. Try it !!

Each time I come here I'm impressed with the all-from-scratch dishes Dopo delivers. Pleasantly lacking in the 'we are upper-class' feeling to many restaurants have. Great place to meet with friends or family or business meetings.

The appetizers and the service are the reason to try Dopo. My boyfriend and I tried the hot and cold appetizers (misti) and were blown away by some of the items we would have never picked out individually. The menu is rotating each week and you can check the website to see what will be served.

I am a Registered Nurse and just wanted to say thank you for thinking about healthcare workers. We cannot meet you in person due to this pandemic however we appreciate everything you are all doing. The food is awesome!! We appreciate it..

Great quality food and service! Pizzas are always tasty and just the right amount. Soups and salads are great. I love the deserts!

Super friendly pizza, salad is fresh, and pizzas are delicious and simple. Beautiful tall ceilings tons of natural light. Definitely gonna go again soon.

Small Sicilian restaurant with a range of options from pizza to a 14 course tasting menu. The mista was a great sampler.

We had a simple meal of very delicious lasagna and salad. Then we indulged in the straciatelli mint icecream- superb!

Everything here is amazing, crafted by amazing chefs and the service is super friendly and knowlegable. Should be on every real food enthusiast's list!
