Pine Knoll Park

Located at Lakeshore and Hanover Streets, by Lake Merritt. Pine Knoll Park was acquired by the city of Oakland in 1907 from Emilie M. Chabot for $27,500.

Pine Knoll Park hugs Lake Merritt and brings you close up to lovely strolling paths. Look for the pop up tents offering tasty things to eat or creative libations.

This was once the estate of Anthony Chabot, a 19th-century entrepreneur whose name you will find all over the East Bay. His house stood here overlooking Lake Merritt.

A fabulous place to go with your family to walk or get exercise. Take your girl in the evening string of lights around the lake very romantic if you're that kind of guy. Or if you just are very visual visual person. It's just nice. It's just it's calming. It's peaceful. Definitely go to Lake Merritt at night.

Lake Merritt, truly one Oaklands hidden jewels. We love our lake and its flurry of bird life. Always picturesque and a true gathering point. Sit and bask in the great weather, walk around its 3+miles, wait long enough and you'll definitely run into someone you know or someone who knows you.

A lovely spot from which to watch rowing on the lake from a bench all tho yourself - if you go at the "right" time... Avoid sunny days and mid-day for el mejor experiencia. The views of the city were nice

Great view of the lake nice little place to chill not alot of shade and have bathrooms.

Nice patch of green that tends to not get overwhelmingly crowded like some other areas around the lake. Great view of the lake.

Best place to go with kids and families of all ages. Super fun. Great few hours to go and have fun. It's a great way to remember your youth as an adult.

Always a beautiful scenery from the top of the park great for getting away from the crowd to eat or enjoy company with your love ones

Great views of the lake, there's always locals playing music and Bbqqing. By far one of my favorite spots around the lake!

It's a nice outdoor park with a lake. Lots of people and pets. Food and product vendors too.

Nice open by the lake, on a hill. The Smoothie Operator food truck is here Thursday Fridays and Sundays.

Best place for a party or large group. For example, if you're having a kids b day party do it here
