Empowerment Park

Great spot on the north side of Lake Merritt. It's close to the Pergola, but it doesn't get as crowded as Lakeshore Ave. A great place to walk, have a picnic, and enjoy the lake. There are lots of food trucks and vendors as well, especially by the Pergola.

We Celebrated my Nieces 8th Bornday there today. The weather was perfect! There was a jumper, games and way too much food. EJ really enjoyed herself.
Great place for picnics, they have grills, the lake is just a few yards away and I was pleasantly surprised that the ducks stayed away. A few bees, no one got stung they were just interested in the food. Only sour note was the restroom stations. The closest one was closes so you have to trek another 2 football fields and they are gross! 😝😝😝

Love this place.I just started coming back around here and wow! Me and son and grand daughter really had a great day and the people that we ran in to were cool.and I'm glad they got rid of some of geese.

A great place to jog or roam around. The views of the lake are really nice, and there’s plenty of space to spread out or have a small hangout with friends.

This is just another part of the Lake Merrit area and it is another great place to take a break, listen to music, people watch and check out the ever present vendors.

If you ever wanted it a very close vacation or a runaway you go to displace the scenery is amazing and is breathtaking you can chill and just take a moment for yourself

Good place for a picnic, volleyball, bbq, DJ, drum circle, weed smoking, beer drinking, etc
