What stands out to me is that they don’t rely on sugar and butter!! If you are concerned about sugary taste, greesy taste of bread, this would be the best place for you. Rustic french baguettes is so crusty, perfectly aery.
This golden brown crust gives so aromatic and fantastic flavor! Their baking and fermentation skill of dough is exceptional!

quaint little shop to get a quick bite. they also have a fair selection of coffee beans. bought their morning bun blend for a friend, who absolutely loved it!

Fruit tarts are excellent with flaky crusts and smoothly rich custard. Fruit itself is impeccable in presentation and they have good variety in topping variations.

Went around 11am on a Sunday morning and there was room to sit down. Service is good despite it being fairly busy.

Coffee is nothing to write about. They’ve got some drip variations and a house blend, but then again you’re not going here for the coffee.

The passion and love they put into the fresh pastry is beyond anything I've ever eaten in my life!!!!!! The ham and cheese pastry!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And the savory morning buns!!!!!!! Mind blown!!! This is truly love at first smell and looks and taste!!!!! I could smell the delicious love up and down the hill!!!! You order 6 of both. 1 as your ordering, one as your waiting to pay, 2 as your walking to the car!!! And 2 at the light!!!! Ummmmmmm. Thank you!!! Wish you will expand to Peoria Arizona!!!!!

We buy our sour dough bread exclusively from La Farine. It tastes so good and they slice it for you if you would like. We also really like their scones. We make it our weekly visit to get bread and scones from them.

My friend recently bought me a chocolate pistachio cake and usually I'm not for chocolate because it's too sweet and too decadent, but I love love LOVE this cake! Not too sweet for me, so good. Pistachios made it the cherry on top.

Delightful bakery that is clean, airy, filled with delicious smells, breads and tarts with authentic blue and white decor that transports you to France nearly immediately.

The tarts here are amazing - I have tried all of them and they are all delicious and beautiful. An added bonus are the employees, who are cordial and welcoming and almost as wonderful as the baked goods this shop offers.

The fruit tarts are so sinfully good yet not too sweet. I asked for that instead of a cake for my birthday and was so happy. I also love the almond croissants, cheesecakes, and their olive bread is to die for! It's dangerously close to my house but I love it!

How cool is it to have this bakery so close to the bus station? We live around Lake Merritt and so we were waiting for the 339 bus that takes you up to Chabot Science Center so that we could hike to Redwood Regional Park on Sunday! While waiting for the bus we were getting hungry so we hoped across the bus station to this lovely bakery. They had so many great options from savoury to sweets and freshly baked breads! Already hooked!!!

We got 2 ham and cheese morning buns and then we came back after our hike to buy some sweets just before they shut at 6pm. Friendly service and amazing treats. Highly recommend if around the area!

Great pastries and baked goods and very friendly service. Although it's 5 stars all the way my only complaint is I wish they had more pastry items.

This is my favorite bakery in the bay, though Tartine & Market Hall are close runner-ups. The morning buns here are perfect and that cinnamon currant loaf is to die for! The folks at this location and the Fruitvale one are fantastic- excited to be there and I’m sure are proud of their work - they should be. The croissants and both sweet/savory variations are top notch. My review probably isn’t necessary because this place speaks for itself. I do like the Piedmont location because it is a wonderful space to dine in- bright, minimal- beautiful. Every time I visit my folks I bring my mom a box from this place- usually going carte blanche on the pastry. Thank you La Farine!

Awesome spot to pickup fresh pastries, cakes, made-to-order coffee. Friendly customer service. Clean environment. Definitely a place to go to. Highly recommended.

I love scones. I can't think of a better place to serve a good scone than a French bakery. The selections looked delicious. The Raspberry Walnut scone is very good. it's not my favorite in the Bay area , but I'm glad it exists.

This place is amazing & the goods always beautiful + delicious! Oh, yeah and they run out of things quickly so get there early

Great tasting items and so many to select from. We had a Chocolate Mousse Cake (for my birthday) and some tarts for breakfast. They have a L Lemon Tart (see picture) that's WONDERFUL!!! The Chocolate Eclair is great also. I plan on visiting La Farine Bakery again on my next visit to the Oakland area.

Delicious cakes, tarts, and cookies. Pretty space but only a few small tables. Staff always nice.
