I really enjoyed our stay at The Jack London Inn. The rooms are at a great price point and the staff there is a great group of kind sweet people always happy to accommodate.

I Love the location close to Yoshi's and the beautiful sunrise and sunsets at Jack London Square was a plus.

This is one of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed in! The room was beautiful, the parking was perfect and the staff were some of the nicest people I've ever met! I'm on a music tour from NJ and this was my first time in California! They not only made me feel welcomed, but showed me where to eat and what attractions to check out while I'm here! The location is AMAZING!! directly across the street from the Jack London Square right by the water!! I give this place 10 out of 10 on every scale possible!! I HIGHLY RECCOMEND AND WILL BE FREQUENTING THIS HOTEL FOR THE REST OF MY STAY!!

The location and hotel in general is more than decent. But I’m making this review mostly for the lady with the red hair that works the front desk in the mornings, she is really nice, kind, sweet and really like the service she provides.

I had a great adventure and the Jack London Inn helped to make it great. When our train was misbooked we got stuck in Oakland. The externals of the Jack London Inn seem a bit rough, but please believe that the service, rooms, location, and hospitality are second to none. Just for comparison purposes, we stayed at a San Fran Hilton hotel the night before and I will never stay anywhere else but here at the Jack London Inn. The enthusiastic nature of this review is based solely on the amazing team that is the Jack London Inn. I also want to add that I am a monk whom is bound by vows to tell the truth. The location is good because there's not much you can't get to safely from here. We had no problems walking around the area clear into 3-4am. There is danger anywhere you go, but I experienced none here. Back to my story. The night manager was so kind, he let us see the room before purchase, even though it was unnecessary. The next day, they kindly watched our luggage and things afyer checkout, so we could go sight seeing and shopping until our train arrived. Oakland can be a precarious city no matter where you stay, but the team at the Jack London Inn will do their best to ensure the best stay on vacay and holiday. Thank you for your time. It's an older place small parking lot and no ac. About the ac they provided me with an extra box fan which kept the room cool during the day. The reason they are getting 5 stars is because Savannah at the front desk saved me. My car got broken into at a parking garage and I needed a place to put my gear while I was getting the car window fixed. She got me a room quickly and helped me keep an eye on it till it was fixed. They are the best.

It's a cozy feel here! Have stayed here handful of times when I come to the city to perform. I stayed at the Marriott if you other nicer hotels up the street but for the price you cannot beat it!! Has a Chicken and waffles diner below it doesn't close until 4 a.m. which is awesome. Pretty decent continental breakfast. It's close to the Oakland Opera metro house! Overall it's good!!

I enjoyed all of my stays here. Savanah and Suzie ( think that's how you spell their names) were excellent and super helpful. They were super supportive. I enjoyed all the staff and I enjoyed my rooms as well. Thank you Jack London Inn for a pleasant stay.

Amazing location by the water in downtown Oakland, decent rooms, and friendly service and employees who are knowledgeable about the area, if you want to know things to do close by.
All this at a reasonable price!

Have stayed here often in our transition to the Bay and always enjoyed our stay. The rates are very affordable the location is perfect with Jack London Square right across the street. There is a train that runs through that never bothered us, however keep that in mind for yourself. The rooms are spacious and the staff is awesome!

A great little low key gem of the Jack London Square - The Jack London Inn - conveniently positioned right in the middle of everything Jack London - it doesn't get any more "Off-Broadway" than the Inn.

Once inside, you'll be amazed that the place actually fits on the block; very spacious hallways, the rooms, the atrium - they don't make'em like that anymore.

Online booking works smooth, service is great, and its just nice that places like this stand strong.

It is by no means cutting-edge space age outfit with all the latest gadgets and every kind of new plug but in - but there is no shortage of amenities that actually work and don't require am instruction manual: my room had a microwave, a heater, a fan, fridge and more! A rooftop patio with a pool with a view onto the square - and a TV if you don't wanna look out the window! The TV was one of those smart new TVs with all the latest plugs - not the least worthy of mention!

That makes me feel like the place goes an extra mile to make sure You can feel comfortable in Your room without gutting out the original architecture to put a Nest thermostat in... Which puts me at rest about global warming because they have to be aware of the rising sea levels - being right by the Marina and all!

So I give 5 stars without a doubt - if you walk in expecting a modern 5 star city hotel you then you did not take time to read - that's not what it is. But it isnt easy to run an inn like that and they do a great job! No complaints.

I enjoyed my stay at the Jack London Inn. The people working at the front desk were helpful and provided tremendous service to me while I stayed for six nights in Oakland. I will definitely stay at this place again for my next trip to Oakland.

Lol this is like my home.. Kool staff. I meet different an new people everyday or some one u mayy know who might be there as well.. but I think it's a Kool place.. regardless of what anyone says I like it.
They will work with you I love my Girls Savannah, maria, an the other staff members..

Shes a little bit rough around the edges but you can't beat it for the price and location. Comfy rooms. Comfy bed. Wi-Fi is solid. Accommodating friendly staff.

The room I had was clean but the bed was uncomfortable to sleep on but over all my 2 day stay there was very good

I was treated very well by the Management and front desk. The white guy needs to work on his customer service. Idgaf what you're use to, WE ARE NOT ALL THE SAME!!!
