Mosswood park might be the largest park in Oakland. Today they are celebrating Oakland Roots with a festival

Mosswood Legend's reunion was the best this year because so many of our battle tested ballers have transitioned into the eternal but yet they are not forgotten. August 26,2023 was the 15nth reunion at the park. So glad I was in that number

Went to a Caribbean festival last week and didn't even know I was in Oakland. The park is larger than it looks, and the community at these park events are so much fun! I wouldn't have known unless I went!

It's a park that's , for lack of a better word, wonderful!!!

It's a cool place they have bands that show up periodically the pay to get in kind. There's a lil bit of homeless people here. But they mind to them selfies.

This park has so many dimensions the outside theater is one of my favorite spots basketball games baseball free lunch at the recreation center in the summer. The toddler park and the big kids play structure is all so much fun a huge grassy field with lots of trees for shade just another one of Oakland’s gems

Fantastic time at the Burger Boogaloo! Incredible music, delicious food, fun and friendly vendors, and not a bad view in the entire park!

The Meltdown 2 day event was awesome.

Nostalgic place to hang out for a bit. Still plenty of open space with grass to picnic. Also the famous basketball courts. And play areas with a ball field.

A great little park, smackdab near DT, nice little place for a dog walk, a little rundown, but that's Oakland for you, rundown
yet sparkly with 💕.

Mosswood Park is a beautiful park. I would suggest not being ill at ease around the homeless who are encamped there at the moment. We are not violent and are grateful to share this beautiful resource. I also highly recommend going to the basketball court on Saturday nights for the roller skating and music. It is a very nice celebration of the community

Always a great VIBE when we chilln at Mosswood. Somethings have changed but still a great park for events, activities and family get together events. It's seems Oakland natives are taking care of their community park for the KIDS and PEOPLE.

Best place to get your run on multi culture. If you wanna play just you and your peeps, get there in the morning. Prime time is about 3pm

Was able to share the good news

The park is located about 15 minutes from the MacArthur BART stop and has lots of old growth trees. There are some people without homes that camp out in the park, but I never have felt uncomfortable personally with it. They have a playground and a basketball course there, plus a good location to pick up a Ford GoBike if you are needing to park one or get one for a quicker commute.

I don't go much anymore as it is really full of homeless folks, but they need somewhere to live, so I'm not complaining. I mean, I can't wait till they find a home and the park is nice again, but I think them having a place to stay is more important than me having a park.

Fantastic venue for an outdoor concert. Recently attended the Burger Boogaloo and, despite a large crowd, there was plenty of room, places to sit and shade to soak up. On top of that, it is near some other great places if you'd like to step away.
