Piedmont Place

At the rate paid for the room was awesome. A glass walk-in shower with sliding doors, and a body mirror in the bathroom was awesome. Clean wrapped 6 ounce gargling cups or beverage cups. The bathroom was clean with clean towels, hand towels, and face towels. The bedding was comfortable, I could not get up. The television worked and the sockets in the wall to recharge electric appliances. Most of all, I like the studying desk. For under a hundred dollars a night, I consider it fare market value....

Stayed here with my partner is October for a fun weekend getaway/music festival we had planned. Very friendly and helpful front desk attendant and also let us park our car for an extra few hours the next day we checked out. I would highly recommend this place for its convenience near downtown and the freeway! It had very close and nearby restaurants and downtown had even more. I will say if we ever need to stay in Oakland, I will definitely feel safe here!

Wonderful stay at this motel. No frills and no thrills but they were much more affordable than other places. The room was somewhat spacious and really clean. They had walk-in showers in a rather large bathroom. The guy at the front desk recommended a bunch of restaurants and cafes within 5 minutes to eat lunch at. Would stay again.

The room was clean and functional. I've been to motels where that was not the case, so that goes a long way for me. Our room was near a busy overpass, but the room was so well sound proofed I couldn't tell until I opened the drapes. Check in and out were easy. Staff was polite and helpful. There was some activity going on elsewhere in the motel that might be considered suspicious, but it didn't impact me and everyone I interacted with was pleasant and helpful. Wifi and cable TV free.

The room was nice and clean and had a small kitchen which was quite nice and a few utensils. They came by everyday at an appropriate time to clean and change the towels. Also had a nice tv with a wide assortment of changes and free WiFi. Only complaint is the towels could be a bit bigger but that is negligible.

Piedmont Place underwent a remodel and not only became a great looking yet affordable local motel but I'm guessing the staff underwent some customer service training. The result can't be beat. The rooms are spacious and fully equipped and the staff goes out of its way to make your stay exceptional. The Piedmont Place is also one of a few motels that allow check in after midnight. For those of us who work late, this is a great amenity. If you need a local night's lodging you can't beat the newly re-envisioned in Piedmont Place.

Nice little place, but very cheaply done. They only have stairs if you get an upstairs room. My ac died and they switched me to another room, the second room's bed wasn't very comfortable but both rooms were clean. Parking was bit of a problem, if you want to be in the parking lot. Street parking is available if needed and despite what others have said, the neighborhood seemed okay, mostly families

Had a good stay at Piedmont Place. The room was large and had a flat screen TV with a lot of movie channels. The office had free hot coffee and the front desk gave us pointers on where to get good food close by. A lot of places within walking distance. They had free parking but it was a limited amount of spaces. Overall, room was clean and rate was cheap, which is what we were looking for.

My family had a good stay here. They were visiting from France and the location was perfect, right next to I-580 so there’s easy access to UC Berkeley for Graduation weekend, San Francisco for sight-seeing, and the Oakland Airport. This motel is also located in the middle of the San Francisco Bay Area so it’s convenient for anyone looking to visit multiple cities. The staff and front desk were nice and friendly and there was free hot coffee at the front. There are also restaurants and bars nearby so you have so many food and drinks options to choose from. Great location and price, would stay again.

Was in town for high school reunion. Needed a place for the night. It surprise me room had iron, ironing board, gas stove, sink, full size fridge, microwave, table with 3 chairs, pots for cooking, flatware, big shower.no tub. Nice bed very clean and nice staff

I had a good experience with my stay here. The room and bathrooms are spacious. It’s located right next to the 580 Highway and free Kaiser Hospital BART Shuttle, so it’s convenient to go to San Francisco or Oakland International Airport. It is also right next to Piedmont Avenue with a lot of restaurants, like Cato’s Ale House, Itaba Sushi Bar and Fenton’s Ice Cream. Best of all, this place has good and fast Wifi. If you are looking for an affordable and clean place to stay in the SF Bay Area, this is a great choice.

Because of some of the reviews I was indecisive about booking this hotel. But OMG, those comments are kind of harsh because I love this hotel. Great staff, great big king rooms, soft beds, and great location that you can either catch the Ac transit or Bart.. I flew in overnight and had a bad experience at my booked hotel, so I checked out and finished my week long stay here. Best decision I could've made.. Thank you Budget Inn. If I ever come back to Oakland I will be staying here again. :) TinyDuval

It's clean, quiet, and a great place to bring that special someone.

The room of Piedmont Place was very enjoyable. There was a nice air conditioner and tv set. The beds were excellent due to the neat organized sheets.

Stayed here three days. Nice clean rooms. Newly remodeled. Easy freeway access to the Bay Bridge. Friendly service. Highly recommend.

It was a very conveiniant hotel, clean ,freindly and located perfectly, bring your own hair dryer. It is NOT fancy .
