If u want to go back into time.... Well here is the place I thought it was the seventies again.. This place was cozy and old but felt safe . I loved it. For only 60 bucks ain't bad. Lol thank you JACK AND GALA ...! SINCERELY, TERRA

It was a clean, comfortable 2.5 star hotel and fairly priced. I was greeted at front desk by Jasmine who cheerfully helped me switch rooms to match my booking. No frills, good coffee in the morning,.worth it. Do your research about the area and don't blame the hotel for where it is in Oakland.

But.... in a nefarious neighborhood, though the lot was well lit and they have security.
The room was clean. though a bit musty. the shower was nice and hot.
The heater was loud. Traffic noise was what you'd expect in the city.

I have stayed here several times and my expectations are exceeded with each and every interaction I have had with the staff. Everyone is genuinely kind, friendly & helpful which is a breath of fresh air in this day and age. The property is safe, clean, quiet & still affordable. They even offer amenities that most properties have taken away due to Covid 19. They have another loyal customer & I will gladly recommend them in the future.

I stayed at this hotel with my Aunt and sister and had a pleasant stay. Front desk "ANTHONY" was very helpful, friendly and professional. We are from out of town so he was a complete life saver. Room was complete with a/c, refrigerator and microwave. Very close to Bart station which we rode into San Francisco. Overall nice experience and would stay again in future.

I was here with my significant other a month ago. It was very nice. Only thing they don't have is a tub. Its all shower. I ordered room service so I don't know how they breakfast is. I guess I'll check it out solo.

The bad part about it. You have to wait until its available. No duh, if you coming during the times that they are cleaning up the rooms. Only problem I had there was. That it took awhile like everyone else did. If they are cleaned with the room it should be available.

The room, privacy, cleanliness and price were the best in the area. I love this place. Only bad thing was that me and a girl I really like stayed there and I wanted to smash but got all nervous n stuff and didn't even try. But yeah, ABVI is the spot!

The sister Queen Paula at the front desk helped generously and kindly to give us a room when we were in a dire situation. She showed the love and unity gesture that our people need to show everyday to each other. We reciprocated that unity verbally between her and us to strengthen and brighten our souls. Much love to Paula. She deserves a raise and promotion that's long overdue I know. Keep doing the good you do Paula and stay blessed.

After my partner and I arrived in California for a vacation, we realized our original hotel was not habitable, and we needed to find a new one. We were scrambling late at night to find a place to stay, and this place quickly accommodated us for a reasonable price.

This place has no elevator but it is inexpensive and they don't charge a deposit.

I enjoyed the stay. Great place to get rest, also staff desk very professional. Only complaint I have is there were about 30 to 40 flies in the window, lol I had to kill by hand.

Wow I gotta say I am very impressed! I want to thank front desk lady for helping me out figuring out my sittuation. You have no idea how great full I am. Very professional and reasonable price!! I recomend this motel to everyone.

Affordable and friendly staff. Rooms are ok. Clean nothing fancy but nice. Some rooms are bettee than others. The rooms on the second floor above office are the best. Breakfast is just cereal and toast nothing major atvthis location. Close to lake. 7 min walk to Lucky's grocery store, 20-25min walk to Trader Joes. Close to public transportation. Lake merritt bart, 12 street bart. All rooms come with microwave, and a tall mini fridge. Place has ice machine and vending machines. Vending machines onlyvtake coins. Everything is $1.25 for snacks and sodas. House cleaning cleans rooms daily. There area bunch of places to order food from through the GrubHub App/Eat24 A taco truck 2 mins away called Mi Rancho..

Im giving 5 stars to the staff in particular. The woman who works the evenings and the young lady in the mornings are awesome! so friendly and accommodating. The property itself is sub par. Budget friendly being in the East bay.

Homeless across the street but were not a factor in our stay. Room was clean, odorless, and comfortable.

Really nice clean large rooms and a great location. Also provided airport shuttle service and staff was helpful and extremely courteous. I would highly recommend this hotel while visiting the Oakland

Nice and Clean! Very comfortable beds, pillows were AMAZING!😍 Decent amount of space, tv channels, breakfast! Will be coming back to this one again.

I give 5 stars to the view and location especially at night. My room faced lake Maret beautiful to say the least
