Z Hotel Jack London Square

The lobby is tidy, the surveillance system is decent as well. The room was also spacious and very tidy. We really enjoyed our stay here. All was good enough to make you feel like you're at home and support you with everything. We're going to be here again. I would definitely recommend this cozy spot to all of my colleagues.

Rooms need updating but are clean, tidy and comfortable. The staff are fantastic and really make you welcome. I travelled alone on a family emergency so I used the Buttercup Diner next door and Uber to get around. I felt very safe and looked after. The hotel pool looked very inviting and theres a small gym, so why would you go anywhere else?

This review is strictly because of the excellent customer interaction I had with Gabriel. I did not stay at the hotel only because my wife got us another room. However customer service is very important to me as I manage a gun store and understand hospitality and customer service. Gabriel was accommodating even let me check out the status of the room which in my opinion was great. Gabriel you rock! Next time I’m in San Francisco I’ll definitely make a point to come stay with you guys.

We've stayed there on two different occasions for several nights. The area has great restauruants, and is near several convenient transit options. Easy on/off the highway. Rooms are clean, well maintained, and the pool is a great place to catch some sun and relax. But Z Hotel's best strength is their staff. Pitt in particular is courteous, caring, and goes the extra mile!

Love the Z-Hotel! This is my go-to place when I travel to Oakland. It is a very clean, pleasant and relaxing facility located at the edge of beautiful Jack London Square and within walking distance to great entertainment and eateries, including world-renowned Yoshi’s. I highly recommend this hotel—definitely two thumbs up!!!

This was a delightful, comfortable, wonderful visit to Oakland. The Z-Hotel staff were so friendly and helpful. The hotel is spacious, the room very comfortable. Thanks so much! Hope we get to come back sometime. (Loved the Buttercup restaurant next door, too.)

This place is great. I've been here for three nights now, and it's peaceful, clean, and very near a nice shopping area and a ferry that takes me straight to downtown San Francisco to my job. I definitively will stay here again. It's so much more peaceful and convenient than the places I've tried staying in downtown San Francisco. Don't get this confused with the "Jack London Inn," which is the one people are accidentally reviewing when they say this one is too noisy and right on the train tracks. "The Inn at Jack London Square" is not that place, and it is very nice.

Located in Jack London Square, the Z Hotel gets its place from the locality. A pretty small lobby, a decent sized swimming pool, the hotel just means business without a lot of bells and whistles.
The rooms are good and spacious with all good amenities including a TV and a coffee machine. The adjacent diner, ButtercuP is the icing on the cake which offers room service as well.
Ask for a pool facing room, better than the street facing one. A good place to stay for a short business or a family trip.

Clean hotel with friendly staff.

Great location right down the street from the convention center which is close to downtown Oakland and the hotel is also close to the water front. Nearby are a few some food options.

Only thing to watch out for is the layout is a little confusing. Some of the rooms are outside and some are inside and the inside rooms aren’t numbered on the outside even though they have doors that face the outdoor pool.

Great place!!! Always quiet especially when you're staying alone. It's safe and close to the music I travel so far to listen to. Right next to Yoshi's in Oakland....love the old yet updated appeal!! Clean and charming...🛌🏾🛀🏾😴😴💤💤

I have stayed here the last three years that I have visited the Bay! The staff is so kind and accomodating. We had a mix up last year because we accidentally booked ourselves at a horrible hotel a couple blocks down the street. The staff (especially Vanessa) helped us communicate with Orbitz to get our reservation changed to them. I suggest them to all my friends that come in for Burger Boogaloo to come here because it is the best hotel in Jack London Square. The only negative is there aren't mini fridges o microwaves, but the great staff, the cleanliness, and location make up for that!

The rooms are fairly well sized, clean, and the pool was well kept. The door lacked insulation which allowed some late noises in, but all in all it is a very nice place to stay.

Really neat spots of history nestled among shopping venues and some EXCELLENT restaurants. Due to the Corona Virus many of the places were shut down, and if the business didn't have an outdoor patio they were pretty much dead in the water. If you are in the area take the time to check it out.

Hotel was nice, Barbara at the front desk was super nice and helpful, my room was clean and you can't beat the location. Walk to many restaurants, bars, bowling, coffee shops. I would definitely stay again.

Excellent location, clean rooms, very friendly staff. Parking is not cheap $25 per day and breakfast not included. No fridge in the room.

Friendly staff, secure parking, nice room, soft bed, close to great shopping centres and not to mention close to the city. In a cool warehouse district conversion area. I will be back!

I've always had great stays at this hotel.

People confuse it with the place down the street a few blocks that is right on the the train tracks. Don't let the train hate get to you. The Inn at Jack London Square is a good place!

The rooms are great. I was in a remodeled room so the bathrooms were modern and very nice. Beds we're soft and comfortable.

The room was ideal size. The bed was very very comfortable.
The location was perfect.
The lobby man was very welcoming!

Had a nice stay here as a musician booked at Yoshi's across the street... The surroundings were peaceful, staff was attentive and there's lots of food within walking distance... The water pressure is great for the area... There's a nicely scaped central courtyard with a pool where you access your room... Parking is available in the underground garage for $25/day as a guest... I ate at Buttercup often which is located on the lot... I was reluctant to order food initially because the prices seemed unreasonable at first glance... However, I realized they were serving portions that could easily feed 2 people... Overall, I would be ok getting a room there for my picky mother...
