Ben & Jerry’s

I’ve been to this Ben & Jerry’s before but today I went for Free Cone Day and was really amazed by how fast the line moved. This location is always very clean. Everyone working here was very helpful, friendly and patient especially since the long was rather long. The ice cream was delicious, so glad they only charged $1.00 for an additional scoop.

Ben and Jerry's? more like Jen and Larry's! I always go here with Jen and her polygamous fiance Larry. They're a load of fun and I can't imagine eating a bowl of Chubby Hubby with anyone else! love, crissy

Great spot to stop for ice cream. I'm not a big ice cream fan but, I Love me some Ben and Jerry's.

This is the cutest ice cream store! Always clean and tidy. With nicely stacked ice cream cones dipped in chocolate with sprinkles just waiting to be filled with ice cream.

I really wanted to take another picture with my head inside of a ginormous ice cream lid! I think my head was Ben (see pic below)! I guess that got rid of that prop!

I ended up buying a really cool tie-dyed shirt. I was surprised at their cool selection of t-shirts.

Oh wait, I was buying ice cream! I didn't get anything exiting! Just two scoops of butter pecan in a cup. It's delicious!

Great location by the water, near the water , near the movie theater. Nice staff & great ice cream! Perfect on a warm sunny day!

In town for a few days and stopped by on Free Cone Day. Very friendly staff, efficient, and ice cream tasty as always!

From the moment I heard there was a Ben & Jerry's scoop shop in the Jack London Square area, I had been wanting to visit. I finally had the chance to make that visit. It was another really hot summer day in Contra Costa and a well deserved late afternoon break was exactly what I needed.

From my own experience with Ben & Jerry's scoop shops, this scoop shop located in Jack London Square is pretty good size. There are two entrances into this shop, one gives you the "You're entering Ben & Jerry's" feel, with the logo sign over your head. And then there's a side entrance which puts you directly in front of the ice cream ordering counter, with friendly faces waiting to help you.

This Ben & Jerry's scoop shop doesn't just serve up ice cream, they have sorbet, smoothies, shakes, hot chocolate, ice cream cakes, etc. They had samplings of waffle cones available for my visit. It was delicious.

As with many ice cream shops, you're allowed to try other flavors. After trying a couple of ice cream flavors and sorbet flavors, I opted for their sorbet flavors of Lemonade and Margarita. The Lemonade was on the tart side, which is what I was hoping it would be, it was perfect.
Because of the size of the shop, there are a few tables to sit at to enjoy your desserts. But if you choose not to sit inside, there are benches scattered throughout Jack London Square for sitting and it's only a couple of short blocks to the waterfront.

Cost wise? I personally, thought it was a tad on the pricier side. $6 for 2 scoops of ice cream, when I can get an entire pint of Ben & Jerry's ice cream at the grocery store for less than $6. Yes, visiting an actual Ben & Jerry's scoop shop is a treat.

But overall, Ben & Jerry's is a great brand, they have great ice cream. I can't wait to go back to experience their hot chocolate.

I love Ben & Jerry’s ice cream, and this shop at Jack London Square is one of my favorite places to enjoy it. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the location is perfect for a relaxing stroll along the waterfront. The shop has a cozy and colorful atmosphere, with plenty of seating options along with Jack London square and a large menu board. They offer a variety of flavors, including some exclusive ones that you can’t find anywhere else. They also have non-dairy options for vegan customers, and sorbet for those who prefer something lighter. You can order your ice cream in cups, cones, sundaes, shakes, or smoothies, and customize it with toppings and sauces. They also have ice cream cakes for special occasions, and catering services for events. The prices are reasonable for the quality and quantity of ice cream you get, and they often have promotions and discounts. I highly recommend trying their new flavors: Butterscotch’d, Chocolate PB Chunk, Churray for Churros!, Lights! Caramel! Action!, and Oatmeal Dream Pie. They are all delicious and unique, and you can find more information about them on their website. If you are looking for a sweet treat in Oakland, you can’t go wrong with Ben & Jerry’s at Jack London Square. It’s a great place to satisfy your cravings and have some fun. I give it five stars out of five!
