Delicious and cheap, what more could you ask for?
I recommend the taro and coconut breads. (although as a big taro fan, I could always do with more of the purple filling!) Overall, texture was great, sweetness level was perfect, and the price didn’t stop me from buying plenty for all my friends as well. Pork buns can be reheated in a toaster oven, but they all tasted best fresh from the store!!
Places like these make it easy to support our local Chinatown in this time!

Highly recommend the fruit filled cake! I ordered this cake for a friend's birthday. The cake itself was outstanding - light and airy white cake, tropical fruit filled (lychee and pineapple!) with a delicious whipped frosting. Neither the cake nor frosting were too sweet - the perfect, light sweetness level. And the shop worked with me on the colors I wanted for the decoration. I ate so much cake, the party guests loved it, and I couldn't be happier! 10/10!

Wonder Food Bakery has the best pineapple buns! I also love their sponge cakes and eggs tarts. Get there nice and early to get the goodies fresh off the oven.

Also, my dad always makes a special request for their cookies (aka little chicken cookies in canto) because there’s no equivalent in San Diego.

I've been going here since the '80s. Their cocktail bun, pineapple bun, and egg tarts are awesome. I'm so glad they're still around.

I love this place! Hole in the wall and looks sketchy from the outside, but once you get inside you see the magic of all their baked goods.

In addition to the usual sweet Chinese pastries, they also have a great selection of savory buns. Go early in the morning and grab the goodies while they're still fresh.

Glad they're open and surviving during these COVID-19 times. As always, the cocktail buns were spectacular! Now that I know they are open again, I will be coming back regularly.

I remember going here to buy hotdog and pineapple buns since I was a kid. My grandparents would bring me here all the time to get egg tarts too! All of their pastries taste and look amazing. Be sure to grab a lot when you come here! It's worth it.

I am a Chinese foods fanatic. This is the best bakery in Oakland China town . The barbecue bun , cocktail sweet bread and many more .

Such a hidden gem! The exterior of the building is rough but don't let the scare you away. Prices are pretty good considering how expensive food in this area tends to be.
I really love the meat buns here, as well as the red bean paste and taro buns.

This is our favorite bakery in Oakland Chinatown. They serve all the Chinese baked goods I crave just like the ones I'd buy when living in Hong Kong. Their pineapple buns are must haves! Plus the affordable prices are unbelievable so fill up those pink boxes with dozens of goodies.

They have great Chinese pastries, and I have been purchasing goods from them for years. If you like Chinese pastries like pineapple buns, this is the place to go for the classic and delicious buns and pastries.

This place can be heard to find but so worth it once you find it! They have all the same offerings as other Chinese bakeries plus more! I've been looking for a place that sells banana rolls but most bakeries don't make them. I finally found them here though! Service is quick and employees are nice.

2023.01.14 Hands down the tastiest custard tarts with flaky crust with a rich custard not overly sweet as the typical American dessert overloaded with sugar, best when fresh out of the oven still hot.

I have been coming here ever since I was a kid, so around 15 years. Quality and price are very consistent. Only thing to watch out for is customer service. They can be rude at times but the food is great and the price is good.
