Grove Shafter Park

Dog park near my house-! Lots of potential. This park is separated by the freeway ramps. North portion of the park has a court yard where you can play basketball games, skate, dog walk, etc. South portion is smaller, but quieter. Oakland City cleaners cleaned the park through out and it's a lot cleaner now. Let's keep it that way folks-! ^.^ so happy to have a gated leash free dog park nearby my house. 5 stars for its potential :)

Love this park! It can be loaded with garbage but there's space for the pups, grass, dirt, and a good fence to keep them contained. We love meeting the neighbors.

Secured dog park, not as busy as other parks so if your dog doesn’t want to be around a bunch of dogs this one is good. No water fountain for dogs but that’s ok, poop bags are provided with garbage bins and there’s seating. It is loud because of the McArthur maze but it’s good times!

I just walked passed this park,I took my dog there once or twice with my boss&his beautiful dog. The park was ok,there's some camping going on,but it looks clean and safe for the most part. Looking for my son,he's been homeless a couple years. :(

I like coming here with my dog to play fetch for a bit. It's close to my apartment and there usually aren't any other people or dogs , at least during the times I have gone anyways, which is nice because my dog loves fetch but isn't always cool with other dogs.

We drove through Grove Shafter Park, headed to church & to celebrate my God-Mother's birthday today. God is AMAZING & we had a good time.

Only one other person and pup on a Sunday afternoon! My dog sniffed around while I sat on a bench and caught up on work. Do expect litter and freeway noise, but that should be obvious given the location!

A doggie wonderland in West Oakland. Tons of friendly dogs play here after work and on weekends. It's pretty much deserted at other times

Nice dual doggie areas. Freeways above and to one side. My buddy & I go there to puff, briefly.
