Wonderful park great skate park called town park love Oakland and what they’re doing with the neighborhood!

I really like this park. It doesn't have wind shields or super effective lights for tennis. It's got birds that flock overhead. Less ritzy than Grove or Oakland Davie. Smth enjoyable about the unassuming nature

Beautiful park with a rich history. It’s amazing living close by as there is always so much to do. Great skatepark, roller skating events at the basketball court, nice tennis courts, a playground, and community events. (I happened upon a black cowboys event once which made my whole week!)

Decent park with two playgrounds, one for toddlers. 2 Basketball courts and a skatepark.

It's a nice green area with a lot of trash bins and various places to sit. That includes picnic tables as well as benches.

I really enjoyed the event the music 🎵 food 🥘 and activities for the kids were amazing 🤩!! Thank you OPD for being apart of the community 🙏🏽❤

Today the nonprofit organization called Black Joy celebrated those volunteers That participated in the parade event early in the year. The park was spacious it was a beautiful day lots of like joy expressed fun was had by all. It was a different Marie park 8-13-22

Wonderful park with new tennis courts and playground padding. Great for small or big kids. No dogs allowed.

I sooo remember this park. The best park ever. I used to be girls scout few years ago with my troop group. This lady name Phyllis Lynn she was the head at the place. Also she was the leader of girls scout. But Now she retired. Is new people that works there. I'm so excited to go there on Saturday for my dad's repast.

Had a blast, great family fun

Home town family and friends picnic! Enjoyed seeing people that I've not seen in years. There was a Jumper, cotton candy & snow cones for the kids, Dominoes & Bid whist for the adults. Lots of great music & dancing! So much food! The cake was so delicious 😋 Good time was had by all.

Best skatepark in all of the bay town park rules

Awesome park. Something for everyone. BBQ pits , tennis courts, skate park and basketball hoops. They had a pool when I was a child until an after hours swimmer drowned. Oh well, can't win them all...

Sadly due to covid the baseball field was closed. Also seems like the basketball hoops have been removed probably also due to covid. Still that being said it was beautiful and a lot of space to enjoy. Plenty of families there keeping a safe distance enjoying the weather.

Great place for kids to play

I'm 67 and I grew up in this park. I saw JFK there..1959 or 60. I lived on myrtle and attended Lafayette. When I was younger 3 and 4 Blk families would meet at this park for the holidays.. Everyone was from Louisiana. Today my knees are bad..when I was a kid there was this thing that we would run around pushing it and jump on it..it had to be 50 kids that thing helped ruin my knees..lol in the summer we were there everyday. My siblings and I walked from 31st and Market that was North Oakland to West Oakland When I was 15 my Mom bought a home across the street from Mosswood. I was too old for parks but my younger siblings grew up in Mosswood. I hate the Panthers destroyed Oakland they brought violence and next there was crack. I will always love Defremry..oh we couldn't go to Lake Merritt in the 50's and early 60's.

Very nice park that has a lot of history, might a fact, the youngest black panther party member Bobby Hutton was murdered t there in April 9th 1968 they tried to rename the park Bobby Hutton Park but nowadays the park is beautiful plenty of grass slides for the kids basketball court picnic area they give high School reunions there it is an awesome place overall

Parked recently fixed all the issues it had. Skate park is awesome and so is the tennis cart. Thursday they have a skate night for roller bladers.

Probably the best and friendliest place for Roller Skating and other wheel sports. There you make friends with Talents of all sorts as well as the ground keeper TJ too a dedicated and fine individual, I love the ever changing creative Graffity, yeah, call it Art. The community events leave no one out young to old, all across the community. Thank y'all for the times I had there.

Went for Prescott school circus it was fabulous the park was clean and we were able to social distance and still see the show. Very nice park

I love this historical park. The Victorian era recreation room a plus. The huge climbable oak trees a plus. This park has everything you need for a local summer cookout.
