One House Bakery

This bakery is AWESOME! I love the baked goods, drinks and seating areas inside and out! Besides the seating street-side, in front of the business, there is also a two-story dining area out back that is a lovely garden scape, and dog friendly too!
They also participate in a local contest called The Benicia Main Street Scarecrow Competition. Their entries include last year's Pan Solo and this year's Fun Gus! Their chefs are truly masters of their craft!

This is a wonderful place to get your pastry fix. It can get pretty crowded during lunch, even on a weekday. They have indoor dining tables, but they also have plenty of outdoor tables in front of the bakery, in the back patio with plenty of shade provided by a huge tree, and in their backyard below the patio. The food was excellent and the staff was very friendly. I wish we discovered this place sooner. We will definitely be back again.

I have only been here once but was amazed. This is an example of a business on overdrive. These folks know what they are doing. It is as well designed and organized machine as I have ever witnessed. The almond croissant was to die for and the pricey chai wasn't half bad either. The cozy back porch with the tree growing out of the middle makes you feel like you're in a treehouse. This is a great place to go for a treat and an experience.

The shop is super busy on weekend. Staffs are very helpful and clearly communicate to customers. They help to make sure all the foods are prepared as needed to customers. Nut free food are also available. The food are priced as the way of Frency. Pastry section is really good. Most likely some sandwich menu items are not available in weekend afternoon. Toilet is available and the backyard garden is entertaining indeed.

When in Benicia One House Bakery is a must for incredible baked creations: almond, chocolate, and plain croissants, an amazing variety of tarts, scones, cookies, and intriguing desserts. A warm stimulating environment with friendly efficient staff; even as many place orders the service moves quickly! Reasonable prices for exceptional quality irresistible treats! Love this place! (:

This place rocks. 7/19 lunch hour, line was long, service was fast. 1/2 the town of Benicia is either a customer or an employee!

Staff moved really well, my Sandwich, coffees and pastries are all up to spec lol!

If this many people are staffed on a random weekday my guess is they treat their people right. The products speak for themselves. End to end it was a really awesome experience.

Very tasty and different menu. We had the veggie pot pie and falafel side salad. Surprisingly more filling than what it first looked like. Would definitely have lunch there again.

Nice selection of seating choices- out front on first street, inside where you can watch people making bread and pastries, or out back in nicely semi shaded seating in the garden (two stories). Lots of little nooks and crannies, sure to have something for everyone.

Shout out to One House which has earned a special place for us and anyone who lives in Benicia. We have grown a tradition with our neighbors the last 3 years with the 3.14 pie sampler. The 8 of us all take a quarter slice taste test and score them….this years results (2023) 🥰😛😋

I just finished one of the best savory tarts ever. From One House in Benicia. I was only going to eat half but of course ……… since I’ve never ever been disappointed there I shoulda known I would eat it all.
This is their description of the tart.
“Corn, Pepper and Potato Tart
Puff Pastry topped with organic russian blue potatoes, charred leek bechamel, organic salt cured yogurt with charred jimmy nardello peppers, roasted brentwood”. Nummy

This place is authentic as heck. With the constant hustle and bustle of the business there is always delicious smells wafting around. I ordered my partner and I chocolate cookies. There is a ton of options including gluten free. There is ample seating inside, but it can get very busy as this place is popular. They have an upper loft and backyard for more seating options.

Great use of space especially the outdoor back "secret garden" with huge tree and wisteria. Picturesque! They have upstairs mezzanine with additional seating and workspace for those who come alone. Yummy pastries and sandwiches. Love the sustainable cutlery and to go boxes. Thank you for the gem in Solano County.

This is definitely a Benicia must try. As someone that does their best to avoid dairy, the selection is limited but I can occasionally snag one of the vegan options which are fantastic! And when I do indulge myself I go for the chocolate pull apart or cinnamon rolls and they are totally worth it. Of course I always get a baguette as well (as long as they have some left). I still can't believe a bakery this good exists in Benicia.

Amazingly great pastries and breads. Worth a long detour if you’re in Northern California.
The decaf mocha is as good as Blue Bottle’s!

Everything I've had here is delicious! The croissants, cookies, scones, and their savory and take home items are so good, too. Their chicken pot pie might be the best I've ever had.

Loved this place. You can watch the bakers work here while you eat. Try the Bakers Brew coffee and meringue tarts. Both are great. Nice outdoor areas as well.

WOW...a must try bakery/restaurant/coffee house. The atmosphere whether seated inside or in the garden area is splendid. If you are dieting, do not enter.

This One House Bakery located in downtown of Benicia is a must stop visit if you ever in Benicia. What I love is there croissant egg and cheese breakfast sandwich. Croissant is so buttery savory with melted cheese over thick eggs that will melt right in your mouth-yum-yum. Love their beautiful charming patio right outside in the back with a upstair and downstair sitting area. If you do go got to sit outside can't just stop and go enjoy the moment with outdoor nature. There is a washroom that is nice and clean. There is parking. One thing I do have to say; One House Bakery is not open on Mondays. Everyone needs a break💛💙💜💚❤

So I gave five stars for food, service, and atmosphere, I also need to add another 5 star for waiting in line. The lines are always long, but yet go very fast. There’s plenty of seating in the back outside or in the front outside and inside there’s a few tables. The food is fresh, all made there and is delicious. My granddaughter, ClairBear, loved, watching how the employees were creating the delicious treats..

New bakery in Benicia serving European-style bread and pastries, plus coffee, tea, wine, beer, fresh-squeezed orange juice, etc. Always busy but the service is always great. They also have flat and sparkling water on tap for customers for free. They even had Yule logs and croquembouche available for pre-order for Christmas!

Cheese plate, chicken pot pie, tomato soup, polenta with braised pork, croissants sandwiches, are just some of what we’ve tried and they all tasted pretty good! Prices reflect the quality of their products.
