There is a park and playground right in front of the library, and parking is convenient. The children's books section is large and I like it, so I visit often with my son. There are many spaces where you can study individually, which is convenient in many ways. Creating a library card gives you access to online resources. Free Wi-Fi is also available. It's a place I really like!

Great place. Helpful people, clean and everything laid out nice and quiet. Used the computers upstairs (a escalator at each end) and the person helped me with something I needed on computer and showed me how to print it out. There is one assistance computer for handicapped, which is helpful.
I was there for a few hours into the afternoon, upstairs there are many bright windows and a beautiful day, it is quiet up there, suddenly a man started to snore. People looked up and smiled, he was at the long window desk, head down and held an open book. Not bothering anyone. Nice place to work and great selection of books. Found out you can sign up for a small room with a computer or a bigger room for a meeting. First come, first serve on that day for 2 hours. Lots of parking. Right next to the park.

This library is awesome! I really enjoyed the privacy of the study rooms.

One thing that did happen was I didn't have enough money to print. It's not like I don't have money I just don't carry change. So I asked some random lady if she had a quarter and she was more than happy to give it to me. Then one of the librarians came up to me and asked me not to solicit money. I feel like there's a certain way to deal with things. I apologized to the lady if I offended her and she didn't even care about me asking for a quarter. So note to self make sure I have enough change so I don't reprimanded. Sheesh!

Walnut Creek library is a spacious, well-lit public library with a good collection of books and helpful librarians. It has two levels, charging stations for mobile devices, a nice seating area with a fireplace. One of the nicer libraries in the Bay Area. Plus, there is a cafe adjoining it (you can't bring food purchases into the library, it has to stay within the cafe). There is lots of street parking.

It's a very nice Library with friendly staff. Most parking spots are metered but there are some free Library spots. The underground garage has EV Chargers BUT only one works, and it's usually taken. The instructions to download the app are outdated - the stations aren't even managed by EVConnect (on the stickers). If it doesn't work after you plug into the car that means it is broken!

I love this library. The children section on the first floor was renovated, so now it is really cozy and beautiful. Staff is always helpful and very nice. There are a lot of children library programs like storytime and summer reading.

This is my home library. From 100 years of Walnut Creek to all the similar events, earth day, it’s in Martinez this year… I love the library. From more than enough cooking books to newly added Chinese books. From linking to free museums nearby with discovery, to digital books, …… I love everything done with libraries in my home town.

Everyone was very helpful. I love that they ask patrons not to be wearing perfumes and scented products. And I really enjoyed being able to purchase something to drink at the little cafe inside.

They have an easy process to pick up books right now. You can either call or text to let them know you’re there to pick up your books on hold. I also appreciate they are open until 8pm on Tuesdays!

One of the best libraries around with having very friendly and welcoming staff to the newly joined visitors. Only a recommendation, there isn’t so many events like other library’s users are experiencing. Pittsburg library is having ESL conversation group, meet every Monday and have a discussion for one hour.

The Walnut Creek library is an amazing place to be. Big selection of books making it a cold day favorite. You can easily place books on hold at the website.

Really nice kind and professional, all experienced by Walnut Creek Library patrons. As I would expect and so appreciate in these times. Google what happened this day Tuesday May 24th 2022. As much heroes as other public sector employees serving our home terroir : aggregate characteristics of the environment in which a food or wine is produced, including regional and local climate, soil, and topography. . . .Thank you Walnut Creek Library,

The environment is great with lots of places to sit and read, and lots of computers for visitors to use. Checkout is easy with (just) enough checkout stations. The snack bar has Peet's coffee and good pastries and sandwiches.

Checking in books is also easy, but maybe too easy -- be sure to print and keep your check-in receipt so you can prove you did check-in your books. I got caught once with a notice of a book not having been checked in on time and a library fine. I'd kept my check-in receipts and was able to prove it had been checked in.

This isn't a complaint about the Walnut Creek Library, but the number of editions of popular e-books is way too limited in the Contra Costa Library system. A friend reserved a book in October 2014 and last week got a notice it was available to be downloaded. Several times I've reserved an e-book and ended up cancelling it because it had taken too much time and no e-book. Now I only select e-books that are available.

What a beautiful building! The parking could be better - but, hey, that's true of all of downtown Walnut Creek! Libraries are sort of emptying out, but the online lending library through this branch is what makes a library these days, as far as I can tell.

Very large well maintained library. Their online systems work very well and it is a beautiful thing to be able to order a book from a different library to be delivered to this one with the click of a button. Extra points for the Peet's Coffee and friends of the library bookstore.

Amazing space to experience a “professional” and academic facility, on par with top universities and tech firms, all of it available to the public. Great for younger people to get a feel for a corporate setting.

I had a very good experience at the library today. The staff behind the desk was very friendly and most important the IBD Weekly paper was on the shelf. Thank you.

Big enough you can normally find a spot for yourself. Workers and security were cool. Able to work.
