Wonderful Cafe in the Heart of Walnut Creek. Top Notch coffee ☕ drinks and food! Service is always friendly and the atmosphere is always warm. Really can't go wrong getting your morning coffee or afternoon meal here while doing some reading or meeting with friends 😊

This is my favorite Cafe in Walnut Creek. The Atmosphere and quality of coffee & food is top noch. This spot is a true Italian style Trattoria open early and late nights. It is always busy with folks working, reading, meeting with friends. It is just an all around everything spot.

It's absolutely one of my favorite places to grab coffee and lunch in Walnut Creek, Ca! This little Italian style café has wonderful outdoor seating in the back with an outdoor fountain. This cafe is considered to be more of a sit, stay, and just enjoy the ambiance and not a grab and go like Starbucks. Don't get me wrong, you can still grab and go, but sometimes you just have to just sit and take it all in. Rich chocolate cream puffs, cafe au lait, a chicken caprice sandwitch served with pesto, tomato, and soft mozzarella cheese with rustic sour dough bread! As an added bonus, sharing this moment in the presence of my amazing girlfriend, absolutely delightful! The side salad could use some work, but it won't stop me from coming back for more! I've been to Caffè La Scala three times and it never disappoints! Ordered the Scala sandwich and it melted in my mouth.

Always an excellent dining experience when I come to La Scala. Freshly made quiche to order, the best freshly made pastries, excellent tea/coffee options. Indoor and outdoor seating are comfortable. And the service is so Fast! Food and beverages come out quick. It’s great! This place is classy, quiet and has outstanding servers.

I ordered the egg sandwich on focaccia bread. The bread top was toasty and buttery, the bottom was nice and spongy. We loved it here! The sandwich had good taste and it was a very good size. We loved that we got our coffee and our lemon poppyseed scone right away when we paid up front. We absolutely loved that we could have a conversation without the music being overwhelmingly loud. It had a nice jazzy/ 1920s vibe. Plus the bathrooms were really nice and clean 🙂👍

I love this place! I’m on a quest to find the best places/cafes to study and get work done. Currently, Caffè La Scala is in my Top 1. I like the vibe—very classy and sophisticated. There’s indoor and outdoor seating. There’s outlets for charging, but you have to order food and there’s a 2 hour limit. I enjoy being here, and studying while classic songs are playing. I was able to focus and get work done. There’s a wide variety of pastries, salads, and sandwiches. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE STEAK SANDWICH. It’s to die for. Everything melts in my mouth. The. BEST. It has blue cheese, arugula, avocado, and I believe pickled onions. I’ve never tried a sandwich this good. I’ll definitely come back. I feel safe seeing 2 police cars parked across the street from where I’m sitting.

Charming cafe located I. Downtown Walnut Creek. I ordered an Americano and a piece of sweet bread, both delicious. They have a wide selection of drinks, sweet breads, treats as well as soups and sandwiches. The atmosphere is quaint and quiet, with wifi to sit and use your devices. Nice service, prices to be expected.

One of my favorite cafes in Walnut Creek. As close to a European cafe as you can get. Great music, vibe, and European decor. The family has run this place for 30 years I believe. Great spot to read the paper, study, grab lunch or catch up with friends

This is my favorite cafe. Perfect spot to get some work done, the wifi is pretty good, the outdoor space is amazing.
I recommend the white chocolate raspberry mocha coffee soooo gooood! Their staff is so friendly. And the cafe stay open soo late which is perfect to meet friends or for a date, it's a great plus where everything close early in the bay! Love it!

Update: upgraded my service rating from 1 to 4 coz it’s improved.

The Cafe’s got a cracking vibe, which is pretty much the only good bit about it. But fair dinkum, the service is all over the shop. Depends who's manning/womanning the counter. Wouldn't waste my dosh here just to cop a cold shoulder from a barista. Reckon you shouldn't either.

The boss needs to keep a closer eye on the crew, especially the ones copping orders. Some of the staff chuck a bit of a ‘tude, especially at folks who don’t fit their usual crowd. It’s not just a one-off; been popping in since 2017 and seen a bunch of different faces pulling the same stunt with certain groups. If the boss isn’t egging them on, then it’s high time for a crash course in how to treat people right. Unless, of course, they’re only keen on serving a certain “type” of punter.

And as for the coffee, time to switch up your beans, hey. They’re too dark and bitter for my liking.

Gave the place another burl after nearly two years off. Within a few months, it turned back into the same old rubbish experience. I’m done with it.

Love the place. It’s open late, perfect place for girlfriends to have a coffee or a wine or both. Has a nice atmosphere, good selection of sweets and coffee and drinks. My favorite is chocolate lava cake.

Stopped in for lunch the other day. It was the second time I have been here. My previous visit I only got coffee but this time me and my girlfriend stopped in for lunch.

They have indoor and outdoor seating, if you want to eat inside you will need to present a negative test or vaccine card. Since we were not comfortable eating inside we opted to sit outside.

I ordered a Cafe au lait and a apple and brie pannini, my girlfriend ordered a strawberry Italian soda and a pulled pork sandwhich. Both came with a nice simple salad. The food was fantastic and the coffee was great. Will stop by again, maybe for one of their tasty looking pastries and a coffee next time.

Great food and wonderful service! Everything was delicious, live music outside. The tomato soup was so good we got a bowl to go. (Looking forward to trying the mushroom soup made with special Italian mushrooms)

This is my favorite coffee shop in town. It is the only business in downtown Walnut Creek open until midnight and have great coffee and beignets (though not always). There are plenty of nice people to meet here too who are reading at the next table and the baristas are really nice. Now open at 9AM mornings, these guys are my kind of people: they sleep in and stay up late!

This place is the real deal if you're looking for a more coffee shop vibe. Service is always great, drinks are always on part, dessert options are always delicious, and they also serve personal gourmet pizza and sandwiches. I've been here many times and is our go-to place. It does get crowded at times, so it can be a challenge finding a table, and downtown street parking can be a challenge as well, but it's a nice walk on a nice evening if you have to park a block or two away.

It's a great place to meet with friends, family and specially for students, digital nomads, online workers that are looking for a safe, nice, good space to connect. In Walnut Creek it is the coffee that stays open until 10 pm and that's excellent! The tomato soup is great!

Best Affogato I've ever gotten! I've been coming here for quite sometime and their coffee never disappoints me!

I had the affogato with pistachio ice cream. It was amazing! Ever craving for coffee I'd always come back!

Love the modern vibe of the place it's very cool! Good coffee and one girl who works there is awesome! Idk her name but she is always smiling and very professional!
