Ygnacio Valley Library - Contra Costa County Library

I love this library. My family has been spending a ton of time at this library and we really enjoy it. The staff are friendly and welcoming. I encounter quite a few interesting books at the library and really love them. My son enjoys his time at the library with storytime and many other kid activities.

Great place for our monthly Spinning Guild meetings. Plenty of chairs and tables to use and when we have hybrid meetings there is a screen that can be used.

This is a great little library just off of Ygnacio Road and Oak Grove. You'll find many desks in every section (young adult, kids, adults, etc) with a large meeting room if you want to bring in your group for a quick huddle. The staff is especially welcoming and friendly. I asked if I could bring a monitor in the guy said, 'as long as you can find an outlet for it, go for it!' Super friendly bunch here and there are outlets through to keep your electronics powered up. They have several computers (and a desk specifically for puzzle-making) at your disposal. It's generally very quiet, but if you need to take a quick call you don't have to step outside (as long as you use your inside voice). But if you need to talk loudly or want some fresh air, they also have an outside bench in a shaded area. Oh, and they have books too. Lots of them.

Nice neighborhood library with helpful friendly staff. Engaging children's area. Something for everyone.

I've grown up at this library and I still love it. Remodel was great. Collection is smaller than larger libraries, but nowadays that doesn't matter. You can just hop online and place a hold on any book you want in the CC system and they'll send it here for you to pick up. Super convenient.

Have been taking my grandson here. Excellent community space.

Wonderful programs for toddlers run by dedicated and gifted staff who understand toddlers. They plan fun activities regularly and for special occasions for neighborhood families, and all for free!

Whatever you are after, the personable and professional librarians always go out of their way to help you track it down. I've been a very satisfied patron for decades.

love browsing books, reservations are free and can transfer from other libraries. Used books for sale, and accept book donations.
